We eat here at least once a month, perfect breakfast at reasonable prices, 8/10. For a no frills café it's one of the best in Southend.

The locals are bit shabby round here but don't let that put u off! This cafe serves a really good fry up at a good price-£7.50 I think for the big breakfast and every part is really nice. Bacon's really good and the hash browns are tasty! They serve lattes and cappuccinos for those who want too, roast dinners and other home cooked meals. They open till 3pm at wknds I believe and there's a cash machines just a few shops away. As it's in a parade of shops, you can wonder to the butchers next door or the co-op down the road for your shopping, or if you really fancy, the pub for a pint after just opposite. It's just a ten minute walk from Southend high street under the roundabout. Parking in roads around, you may be lucky and get outside. Just need a menu posting on line although many cafes don't have that :) highly reccomend.

One of the best cafes around. Friendly staff and owner. Best roast dinner ever, tasty meat, lots of fresh veg, home cooked roast potatoes and yorkshires and no washing up afterwards. Would be there every Sunday if I could, highly recommend

Excellent food at a good price. Willing to add any item, offers granary bread when available unlike a lot of places in Southend. The staff are friendly and it is always clean. I have a BLT with sausage and mushroom as a treat (Rosie Special) Would highly recommend, the only fault would be lack of parking in the area. Been coming here for months and will be again.

We go here quite often and my favourite is Alans' made Steak and Ale pie, served with fresh beautifully cooked veg. It has a thick, lush pastry topping that you won't forget once you've tried it!

Hi we were expecting to go to our favourite eating place Van looys friday lunchtime but the place was packed to the point people were waiting to sit at a free table even if we did have time parking was a nightmare, so we had a cruise round and stopped at Table Manners in southchurch road we had been here once before when our normal breakfast haunt was closed for decorating and was quite surprised so we gave it another try for lunch this time,as before a good meal was had by myself and the wife she had ham eggs and chips which was delicious lots of ham plenty of chips and juicy eggs well satisfied, i decided on the large breakfast again and was not disappointed well fed and at a good price no fancy furnishings but we were made most welcome well done to the chef / owner we will be back.

Great food especially Sunday roast all freshly made no frozen veg can't beat it for value and taste. Good selection of veg normally at least 3 varieties every week something different to avoid getting boring. Two types of meat available to choose from. Great value for money, I'd say definitely the best cafe within Sutton Road for freshness. I've also tried the Homemade curry and shepherds pie and just as tasty. Definitely give it a try.

I noticed this restaurant cafe was doing well in the TA ratings,so i thought i would pop in with MCLP for Lunch. I plumped for the Manners all day breakfast, while MCLP being Vegan had beans on toast, though thoughtfully LM sausages were available.

My Wife and I often go into town on a Saturday and we are now regulars on that day for lunch or brunch. Alan, the owner cooks the meals himself and they are all cooked to order not like some of the supermarket cafe's where food is stored in metal containers over heat and often dried up. All Alan's food is cooked fresh, and served piping hot in pleasant surroundings and in an upmarket style. Quite a good selection and well presented and cooked. Recommend

This is our staple local. The food is always piping hot, fresh and of high quality; the portions are of a good size; nothing is too much trouble - items can be swapped, mixed, matched and added; and the staff are some of the friendliest around.

A lovely man by the name of Alan runs this Table Manners on Sutton road. The food is delicous and is all home made and fresh. From a wide selection to choose from including all day breakfast, baguettes, pies, Sunday roasts and more, you can even have it as a take away if you wish. Alan also holds a quiz night at the end of each month which are always a fun night. The place is always clean and tidy with friendly staff and I have tried other cafes but always go back to Table Manners.

A good option for healthy food. A few options to choose but not lots of variety. Try the hot beverages, they're good. Most of the food is gluten free and the juices are really good! Highly recommend

My disabled daughter came today , with her friend , to study her university work , was totally shocked and embarrassed by staff , who push her forced her out of her seat , so others could take her place , and the table had shown no sighs of being book , it's absolutely disgusting the way she was treated , I definitely won't be going there in the future, so will not my friends.

Party of 12 mature friends visited here on Saturday afternoon/evening. Were having a lovely time, great atmosphere, waitresses brilliant, spent a small fortune as this place isn't cheap. Then we had to deal with the owner's aggressive, rude behaviour, who decided it was time for us to leave as we weren't ordering drinks quickly enough. He has since had the audacity to accuse us of drug taking due to receiving a poor review. Benidict you should be ashamed of this accusation and should take a long look at you customer relations. We won't be coming back.

A nice micro pub within easy distance of Prittlewell, which I was visiting. Love pints of 5 Points Bitter on cask at the time; shame about the England football performance being shown on a big screen! 😱
