Locals on a walk looking for a cuppa
If I was to sum up our visit today in one word it would be…. Ansum
( Devon for lovey or proper job for those who are not from these parts. )
Excellent cheese scone, dog friendly, spotlessly clean and happy staff.
We will be back.
¡Spit and Sawdust es un 10 / 10 para bebidas y comida en ambiente! Una de las joyas ocultas de Cardiff. Si no patinas prueba uno de sus eventos nocturnos o artísticos. Ideal para los niños en el fin de semana también.
In Buxton as hungry tourists on a rainy day looking for something tasty to take away. Came upon Pig and Pepper which is a bakery that does really great coffee and wonderful sweet and savoury baked goods. We chose a broccoli and cheese focaccia, a flaky Parmesan and red pepper savoury, a proper Scandinavian-style cinnamon bun, and a pecan topped orange polenta cake. Every one of these items was excellent like the highest quality home baking. Lady who served us was super friendly and helpful. Tiny premises filled with nice things!
This is one of my favourite breakfast places, the food is of excellent quality, they never skimp on the fillings and the prices are reasonable. Always piping hot and served with a smile. You can’t ask for anything better. My next try is the steak sandwich 😊
I hired Ò Vesú Van for my wedding reception, they arrived early, set up smoothly, and the guests loved the pizza. Stephen's communication was flawless in the run up to the wedding and had a great team, would recommend.

Today was a little bit of heaven for me as trying to find places to eat when you are a coeliac is a challenge. We decided to try Piecaramba for lunch and it was a total winner. We had different pies and they were both good as well as the mushy peas and mash. I had the cherry pie to follow which was delicious. We enjoyed it so much that I will be picking up some for our freezer on our way home as we are not local. Whether you can or can’t eat gluten give it a whirl. My husband said that if you didn’t know it was gluten free you wouldn’t know it was gluten free!

Very attentive staff,, clean and original. My husband had a chicken roast which came with a large selection of fresh vegetables.. these are served separately so you can select your own.. I had the vegetarian option which looked fabulous,, although I didn’t eat it due to personal taste,, it was a large portion but I enjoyed the leeks in cheese sauce and all the other vegetables.. so was full anyway.
I’d definitely recommend this gem
No matter how amazing a business is, you need great customer service skills or else you won’t go back.
You can be the greatest chef in the world, but if you’re rude no one will go back. The greatest hairdresser, but if you’re rude the same approach applies.
Anyway, my point is, is that the gentleman who works here is absolutely AMAZING. I am sure everyone other employee is too. This is my second review here and I am amazed at how kind and warming he is. Honestly, his genuine kindness was a dominating reason for me writing this review.
I also ordered a vegan chocolate Orange chocolate log which was extremely delicious and a lovely hot chocolate.
My go do for anything from a take away coffee to a lunch out. Their sandwiches are great and there’s a nice range for all the family and vegan and gluten feee options too.
Ps: The homemade tiramisu is a must ❤️
This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!
I organised a day out on the broads for my partners birthday, after booking the boat, I was recommended Vic @ The Steam Room to arrange a picnic basket. Well what a recommendation that was. Vic was very helpful over the phone organising it all and explaining the numerous choices we could have. On the day, he was very friendly and swiftly prepared our feast and provided everything we had ordered for our day ahead. Homemade sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls (may I state some of the best I’ve ever had), fresh fruit, fresh donuts, crisps and finally some cold drinks. All within a loaned picnic basket to keep cool. 10/10 service, 10/10 quality of food. If you’re wanting food for your day out, or just a spot of lunch, here’s the place you should visit.
