GOGO's Waterfront Restaurant in Windsor and Maidenhead

Lovely staff. Service was slow but obviously unusual as we were very kindly offered drinks for all of us, which we happily took! Pork ribs seemed very good value but beef short ribs were expensive for what you got - delicious though. Wonderful setting and lovely outdoor seating area which we weren’t able to use due to the weather (it being Mother’s Day).

Such a lovely venue. Everything perfect! Definitely recommend a must place to go.

We have visited GOGOS before back in 2019, so decided to celebrate our daughters 21st Birthday there again. The setting and ambience of the restaurant is lovely and perfect vibe and atmosphere for us. However the service was somewhat lacking, had to ask threes times just to get a jug of water, waited over 20-minutes just to take our drinks order and then once we ordered our food waited best part of 30-minutes. When our main course came out, the food was put in front of each of us. The waitress was about to walk away and I had to ask for some cutlery. We then had a further wait just to get their attention at the end, which actually resulted in me going up to the bar! Real shame the service was lacking for what was really enjoyable food and a great setting.

We orders the beef Sunday roast well done but was very disappointed as we couldn’t even cut through the beef the waitress even come over and gave us a steak knife because she see we was struggling also the manager was very rude when we told him and gave us £12 off for the meat and was told we asked for well done but not chewing gum meat

We were surprised by the quality of the food so would definitely recommend the place. Service a bit mixed but overall friendly and genuine. Prices maybe a bit on the high side but location and quality of the food justify it.

Had to wait a long time for everything.Drinks,starters and main courses.Decided against desserts as had enough of waiting. Clearly not enough staff. Very noisy! Had to shout to be heard due to children and parents on another table making so much noise.The children were standing on the chair,hitting each other and shouting.The parents did nothing Not the restaurants fault however,maybe have a no children under 12 policy,after 7pm? Have eaten at Gogos many times,mostly lunches and loved it,which was why I wanted to take my family there for my sons birthday. The waiter very kindly removed the service charge.

Food delicious, staff very friendly and provide great service. All my friends like the location and beautiful view.

Having said that we were coming on a date, it was uncomfortable that everyone that came in after us were seated right next to us. It was also incredibly cold in the restaurant and the pancakes seemed to have been microwaved and not cooked fresh as they went hard very quickly. Quite a disappointing experience to be honest apart from the lovely waiting staff.

Just amazing this place. It’s one of my favourite restaurants. From the beautiful views of boats and water, the welcoming greeting, the amazing food and the 5* service you just can’t beat it. I’ve been here several times on various occasions and they get better and better. Whether it’s a catch up with a friend or a work group it’s always a pleasure to visit GOGO’s.

Great decor and some really nice food and drinks on the menu - just not a fan of the vegan ‘fish’ option.

I booked the shabeen bar and this was closed we were seated first table in from the door it was cold so wasn’t very comfortable and no ambience where we sat hence I booked the shabeen bar initially but we still had an enjoyable evening as we always do

Good was great but service was poor and I had asked for the dessert for the birthday girl to come with a candle etc but they didn't do it for us, despite others in the restaurant receiving that treatment. Very disappointing

Amazing food, if I’m going to be really picky, the service was slightly off - staff were talking more than serving at times! For example; we asked for water and I had to go up and get it myself as it never turned up. For a restaurant as lovely as this, the little things definitely make all of the difference. Made no difference to our evening as it was lovely, but more attention to detail needed, especially if you’re going to add on the service charge without asking first.

Can’t fault the place on anything at all, every aspect of the evening was spot on. Food was unreal, staff were very friendly, was nice having the water poured for us, never had that before. Very nice homely environment. 10/10 would recommend to anyone within a seconds thought. Thanks guys! You smashed it!

The food was wonderful from start to finish, they have a great chef, a 5 star chef, Cherryl was very friendly, all her recommendations for drinks and desserts were perfect.

Great please to enjoy a lovely romantic meal. Service is above and beyond, while the waiting staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. Food is from the top shelves and portions is larger than expected which is great value for your money. Will definitely go back to Go-Go’s

We had brilliant service from the waitress however we had to wait 20 min for coffees and this happened twice not really acceptable

Used to love GOGOS and decided to visit last night to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately we won’t be returning anytime soon. They had neither my starter or main that I wanted. Changed my order just for other people in our party to be told that there was enough chicken wings for my starter but not for their platters. They were offered to swap their wings for something else, were both given a burger each which came out VERY overdone. Chicken skewers were dry and ribs were hot in some places and cold in others. Our waitress was very apologetic and tried to be as helpful as she could being the “middle person”. She is the only reason that I have given more than 1 star. Our partners main meals were taken off the bill and we were offered a free round of drinks which we politely declined. To add to matters, the men’s toilets were being refurbished so they had to use porter loos outside, which wasn’t ideal given how cold and icy everywhere was. Including us there was only 5 tables in the whole restaurant, so found it very surprising that they had run out of so much and couldn’t cook the meals we had ordered to a standard.

Disappointing,restaurant was very cold,sea bass and broccoli were cold,hopefully this was a one off as I have eaten a delicious breakfast there recently.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. Was a gathering for my aunts birthday and they played a special request for her.

First visit, we went for brunch and it was great. Would absolutely go again.

The menu choice was a bit underwhelming but what we ordered was very nice and we enjoyed it. Log fire and sparkly lights just right for New Years Eve. Would go again. The staff were very friendly and the service very good especially as the restaurant was very busy.

Made a booking for lunch for a group of 11 and was not disappointed. The food was amazing and the staff were excellent. Meat platter to share was full of flavour, the ribs succulent and delicious. I will be back to tackle the beef espatada next for sure

My girlfriend and I visited yesterday for our anniversary meal. We were looking forward to it but unfortunately the evening was disappointing. My girlfriend is vegetarian and was hoping to have muscles but they were not on the menu. Appreciate this is just one of those things however, 2 of the chicken mains and the squid was out of stock and the guiness on draft wasn’t available due to “no gas”. I had the beef burger which was over done and hard; and my girlfriend had the salad which she barely touched due to it being too sweet. I put in the comments when booking that it was our anniversary and was hoping you could help make it special. I wasn’t expecting a complimentary drink but there was no mention whatsoever of the anniversary which was a shame. Overall very disappointing and we will not be returning to the restaurant any time soon.

When arrived room was cold and waiter very unwelcoming. I had avocado on artisan bread which was not toasted so cold food in cold room. Will not be returning

booked a certain part of the resturant but infomed when we arrived cant sit there as there is a private party, was not happy about that.the price of the food is too pricey as ita nothing special. and the milk tart tasted like a baked lemon cheese cake. service was slow like they had forgotten about us but staff were nice, only good thing was the venue i wont be going back

We were very disappointed having arrived as a table of 8 with friends coming for the day from Kent and Somerset. We booked far in advance and were not asked when booking if we required a Christmas meal. When we arrived and went to order we were told we had to pre-book and it wouldn’t be available to us. When I spoke to the GM she said it’s not a process they have in place to ask who wants to pre-order one (even though it was the Sat before Christmas) I asked if they could do anything for us (perhaps a free drink or anything really) to which she said no we won’t be offering any compensation. The food was nice and restaurant great but I was very disappointed with the managers attitude who obviously lacked any kind of customer service skills

We had a lovely lunch at GOGOS - I had a fishy salad which was very tasty and my friend had vegetarian fish and chips which she loved. The chips were excellent. The tables are fairly close together and it was quite noisy but we enjoyed ourselves and the noise was not too intrusive. The service was friendly and professional

Amazing food! Large Christmas party and short staffed meant we had to wait a long time for food and drinks which was unfortunate. Complimentary round of drinks as an apology helped a little

The venue is very good for business breakfast meetings as is generally quiet and food options pretty well cover all tastes.

The location is superb. Xmas decoration enhanced the experience and I imagine summertime dining is fab. There were 2 big parties in but the service coped. Lovely food, helpful staff and we will book again!

Advertised as South African, but the menu was basic British, with a hint of South African tastes. I was hoping of more of a South African spiciness taste and to me it was very mild, being used to Mexican and Indian food. The background noise was too much such that we left before we had a desert. Overall we were very satisfied with what we had.

We went for a Christmas work meal and I didn't know the Christmas menu needed to be pre booked. This was a treat for my team. On arrival it was only posdible to order off the a la carte menu so I asked quietly without my team knowing if it was possible to have crackers alongside our meal I even offered to pay for them. I saw the lady who was serving us go over to speak to the Manager it was obviously a no because no one came to offer a response and no sign of crackers. The food was really nice and atmosphere good. Very strange customer service....

I haven’t been for a while , always loved it but sadly after today’s experience will not be returning. Food very poor, tea hardly warm and very weak, poached eggs cold, sausage pale and uninviting, bacon was hard……..all in all extremely disappointing and not worth £97 at all.

Went for my 16th birthday dinner yesterday and it was amazing. Walked in to an amazing atmosphere friendly and helpful staff seating and serving us. The food was the best food I’ve had at a restaurant for a long time. Clean plates for everyone. If I could give it any more then 5 stars I would. Definitely coming back here.

Popped by for breakfast and was greeted by a lovely lady who seated us took our drinks and food order promptly. The Bloody Mary was amazing and the chorizo and eggs were delicious. Definitely recommend

There were 2 of us for lunch. We both had a main course which took 45 mins to come. My friend's fish and chips were perfect. My sea bass over done and so dry I had to leave the second piece. Sautéed new potatoes soggy and uninspiring. First visit. Ambiance good, friendly staff but for me you don't overcook fish so if you want fish and chips a great place to eat. Disappointing for me.

Lovely food attentive service, I did phone and say we have a birthday and we are away from home it would have really meant a great deal if they had remembered and did the candle in a brownie like they said, this was a big let down from the good food and service, food was good though

So pleased we have found this restaurant, especially as it's half way between friends! Staff were very attentive, polite and efficient. Food was excellent. We shall be back in the summer for another meet up! Thank you.

We waited after the end of the starter's to have our drinks. And the second cocktail was different from the first even though we had ordered the same. I ordered a small dessert and I got a normal dessert because they had finished the small one but they didn't wart me. And we had to ask twice for the dessert menu. The waitress who was supposed to bring us menus or our drinks was behind the counter drinking her drink. But the environment was nice and the food was good We'll give this place another chance

The mussels sauce was not as good as the last time we visited.

My wife explicitly asked for hard fried eggs with no runny yolks but unfortunately her breakfast was served with both eggs runny which prevented her from eating it. Also find the price for breakfast to be rather expensive when compared to other similar establishments. The decor and ambiance was nice though.

Really disappointed, we booked some time ago but when we arrived looked like had been overbooked as absolutely no where to sit! There were a lot of people in the same position!

This was my 2nd time visiting, and yet again, great service, great food and a great environment to be in. However, they need to add Apple Crumble with custard to the dessert menu, and I’ll be a happy man
