Meimo in Windsor and Maidenhead

Went for an anniversary meal on our celebratory weekend away, it was very busy in there on a Saturday evening. We shared a bruschetta starter (£9), which was basically a flat bread with tomatoes on. I had a chicken tagine with prunes and apricots and my husband had chicken a la creme. Food was tasty, chicken was very tender, but it would have been nicer if it was served with a few vegetables instead of having to order as an extra, as it wasn't particularly cheap. Bill for the two of us, with a flat bread, bottle of water, glass of wine and glass of coke came to around £96, including the automatic 12% tip (which we don't really like added to the bill, we prefer to tip accordingly for good service ourselves). Slightly disappointed they didn't acknowledge that it was our 10th wedding anniversary, as I had made a note of this when booking.

I have to agree with Vivian in her September post, the small plates were very small & the tagine lacked any real flavour, the meatballs were small but my husband enjoyed the flavours in this dish. Very expensive for what we had & didn't know about the 10% service charge at the end. The staff were very friendly..thank you Abdul! They made us feel very welcome indeed.

We spotted this busy restaurant when me and my husband are looking to have dinner. Luckily we came here we found a Gem. The food was amaIng. We start with 3 small sharing, We had Pilpil, meatballs and tuna with filo then we get the Tagine as our mains. end it with desert with some filo pastry with vanila ice cream. Everything was delicious and worth every bite!! Our first night in Windsor and we started good.

Just had a lovely meal at this fabulous restaurant, if you’re in Windsor you must eat here . Friendly staff and reasonably priced you won’t be disappointed.

Very average. The food was ok but nothing special. The small plates were really small. The main courses were basic with not much flavour. However the service was excellent. Very welcoming and attentive.

Wonderful! We had a fabulous evening. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff and owner were all so incredibly friendly they made it the enjoyable experience it was. They even gave us some mint tea after the meal which was super tasty. If I lived in Windsor this would be one of my regular haunts. For sure when I am next in the area I will be booking again.

Amazing food and service, this was my second time visiting Windsor and going to Meimo. It was even better than the first time! Both times I visited, it was quite packed, the staff provide excellent food and exceptional service, especially from the waiter Ayoub, who looked after us and provided amazing service whilst being very busy. You don’t get food as good as this in America. The mix grill and lamb chops was the best food we had during our trip, thanks to the staff of Meimo, we will definitely be coming back again!

The pricing does not match the food taste so not really worth it...so try elsewhere for better tasting food at reasonable prices. However, service was quite good.

Friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic lunch offer which was really great value with a big selection of food on the menu. The calamari was the best we’ve had in a long time and the koftas I highly recommend too. Staff were really informative and extremely friendly. Really recommend this place!

This was the first time that four of us went to Meimo - supper on a Friday evening. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the food was absolutely delicious. It is always very good to find somewhere that gets it just right and Meimo was definitely that kind of place. If you want to explore authentic, excellent, very reasonably priced Moroccan food in a relaxed atmosphere you would be very hard pressed to do better. Five stars!

The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly and funny. The staff were also very nice. The food was really good too and the place itself very pleasant.

My husband and I went on a Tuesday, around 5.45pm. Warm and attentive service. I ordered the mushroom and halloumi burger and was 100% satisfied - very tasty and was left feeling content, not uncomfortably full. It tasted of fresh and good quality ingredients - bread was so soft, the mushroom and tomato was juicy, halloumi was perfect. And the restaurant has a good vibe, comfortable and cosy atmosphere.

Friendly greeting as we entered the restaurant. We had two small plates to start- Halloumi Cheese and the Prawns PilPil. Both were delicious. Next we had a Tagine- The Chicken Maghdor. The chicken pieces were tender and the tomato sauce was flavorful. Served with couscous. The tagine was served bubbling hot ! If we visit Windsor again we will certainly return here for a meal.

The food was very basic and lacked flavour, every bite felt like there was so much missing not vibrant or bursting with rich flavour which was a shame. I felt for the price it was not worth it. We went for Mother’s Day and the service was great but the food let the experience down.

The best place for families to eat in Windsor! was greeted warmly by Abdul and his wife, great table and even if the resturant was full we had lots of space. Great menu for all, the starters are fantastic and worth sharing, the skewers our personal favourite. Lots of staff to answer any questions and keep your drinks topped up. the food was amazing and all home/freshly cooked which you can actually see if you wait in the bar area. Felt like being in Morocco! we will be back!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our visit to Meimo!! The dishes were delicious, especially the tagines, and Abdul and his team were a delight. Would love to visit again, and definitely will when in the area.

Loved this restaurant so much! The menu was great and had a good range of dishes to choose from (including veg options). We were looking for somewhere with good food and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere for lunch. This was perfect. We chose a range of dishes to share and each one was delicious. We had never tried Moroccan food before but we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it was! Our server was excellent and described the dishes so we could make a good choice. We selected several small plates which came out quickly and piping hot. We would definitely go back if we are ever back in Windsor and we highly recommend!

We visited Meimo for an early dinner with a 2 year old. Everyone cleared their plates. The food was delicious and the staff lovely. Eating at Meimo is like eating in someones home because you are treated like family and everyone is genuinely happy. Always a pleasure to visit!

My husband and I stopped at Meimo for an early dinner. What a delicious delight!! We were drawn in by the beautifully decorated space and the aromas. We started our meal with hummus. Probably the best hummus I've ever tasted, so tasty & smooth. Our dinner included the vegetable tagine with couscous and the chicken brochette. Both meals were so flavorful and warming, the kind of experience you seek from home cooked meals. We couldn't resist and ordered the baklava and Turkish coffee for our after dinner dessert. Don't skip out on dessert, so fulfilling. We were garnished mint tea to complete the meal. Overall a great experience.

Truly a Moroccan gem in the quaint town of Windsor! From start to finish the experience at Meimo’s was sublime! We went on a beautiful sunny day and several people were eating on their lovely patio. We opted for inside as it was a little windy for us. The music inside was so fun and there were even velveteen bejeweled seating near the back which would be perfect for a romantic evening! We were there for lunch, so we got a window table. Service was impeccable! Friendly and welcoming as well as helpful and gracious with requests. The Tagine we ordered of lamb meatballs was so delicious and the starters of falafels and aubergine dip were incredibly tasty too…Warm flavors and textures that sang in our mouths! We saw a few tables of what appeared to be locals enjoying lunch as well. Us being tourists from California, that is always a plus…seeing locals eat where you chose! Meimo’s is a fantastic stop when in the town of Windsor!

This is the second time we’ve come here and it didn’t disappoint. Wonderful sharers which were enjoyed by the whole table - with our waiter being very hospitable. Food is so delicious!!!!

Restaurant has been there for 12 years still same owner. Due to weather we sat outside, only problem was a nearby house/shop alarm went off so a little noisy. Food and service good , wine list seemed to offer good value with less mark ups than some places. Overall a good family meal out with enough options to cover most tastes

Above and beyond!!! We enjoyed a tasty meal of five plates washed down with a Casablanca beer perfect reminder of our trip to Marrakesh and just right for the September heatwave prior to our tour of Windsor castle. We were impressed to be welcomed back for refreshing mint tea after the tour when we passed by- on the house. Great find - check it out if you are in Windsor

Would we eat here again? YES. We ate here twice on our weekend visit to Windsor. The staff were all attentive and friendly. The food was hot, really hot, and tasty. The portions were ample for me and my wife. I don't normally write reviews, but our experience here was so good, I felt I should share it with others.

My family and I visited Meimo for lunch yesterday as we love mediterranean food and found it on a Google search prior to a day trip to Windsor. The menu already looked great but the food exceeded all expectations. I had the chicken couscous with raisin and caramelised onions as pictured and the rest of the family had tagine. It was absolutely delicious. We planned a day of walking so only went for mains but to our surprise we're offered a piece of baklava and morrocan tea afterwards as a complimentary gift. This and the incredible friendly team there added such a nice touch! Very reasonably priced, we will definitely return :)

Booked a table 2 weeks in advancee,timed for 2 pm, so that I had time to take my Son back to school. Arrived 5 minutes early and waited for 25 minutes, no table ready for my party. Forced to go to another restaurant. Another party waiting like us, in exactly the same position and they were booked for 1.45 pm.

My family enjoyed our lunch here. The food was very good and fresh. The portions were definitely on the small side so we really were still hungry after eating and had to order additional food. The host is so nice and attentive. He was great! Also please note the upstairs is freezing cold. The bathrooms/toilets are up there and there is no heat or hot water. I took two trips to the bathroom and froze being up there and froze my hands off when washing hands.
