A great venue for meeting friends, as we do not all live close to each other, so a convenient location for us all. Excellent service, wonderful choice of food, superb ambience and very comfortable. We would certainly return at some time in the future.

Great pub to watch sports and have an authentic experience. Snacks, beers and everything taken care of and offered in an appreciable way.

The Duke of Edinburgh is an old favourite of ours, and we've been many times. We like the enclosed nook in the dining room, where four of us - friends - squeeze in for a good lunch time chat over excellent food. Thursday 22nd February was different and we enjoyed it less. The Calves liver was terrible, but above all the waitress was sullen , cold , almost hostile - we don't know why ! It dampened our fun and spoilt the outing. But , we'll go again for sure and hope this was just an aberration. The liver seemed like it might have come from a horse - or hippopotamus !!

Great simple food, steak and stilton pie, great cheese board, missed out on great golden syrup sponge as colleagues took last portions!!

Very well kept ale. Quick service. Nice real fire, logs topped up by staff.

Had a family dinner at the Duke of Edinburgh and we had a lovely evening. Good simple food and the staff were very good. Recommended. Paid another visit in October 2023 and had another enjoyable lunch. Another lovely lunch in December.

Very enjoyable lunch made special with birthday candle on the pudding.had ploughman's and sausages mash and peas. Them got tempted to have pudding as well

Generally very good but food can be hit and miss. And it's not cheap. 3 starters, 6 mains and 3 desserts plus drinks... £260. Can't justify that I'm afraid.

Sunday lunch was excellent. One of the best pub lunches i have had for a long while. Staff were friendly and efficient. Pub was busy so would recommend booking in advance. Car parking is limited but roadside parking is available.

Brilliant find, 5* for everything

My son and I visited here last Saturday . We hadn’t booked but we were made very welcome and shown to a seat . There is an excellent choice of food on the menu. I chose the steak pie with mash and peas. It was not only delicious but the serving was huge . We will be returning to the area again next year and will certainly return here for a meal. Thank you to all of the staff.

Try their half shoulder of lamb. It’s really delicious. The personnel is friendly and helpful. The interior is very beautiful with lots of details.

We recently held a celebration of life event here for my mum and dad and Anne and Nick did us proud. Mum and dad loved this pub and we all spent many happy evenings here.

Food ok but why do they put salad on every meal, doesn't really go with all food.

This place has great food & great service. The staff are delightful, friendly & helpful. You will not be disappointed by the food. The burgers are amazing, the choice is substantial and everything is done with a smile. There is both an indoor & outdoor dining area with the outdoors under heated marquee, as well as a garden. Highly recommended.

The service and the food were beyond compare. It was simply fantastic. So much so it was our first visit and we are making plans to return.Well done to the staff.

Came to the Duke with a lunch party of 16 which was pre booked. What can I say?The food and service was epic! Nothing was too much trouble even with one guest changing his meal choice at the last moment. Nick and Annie you are the perfect hosts and I look forward to many more perfect meals at The Duke!

The Duke of Edinburgh has been our local pub ever since we moved to Woodside 14 years ago. Myself and my husband have enjoyed lots of great evenings drinking at the bar with friends or having a meal. We especially enjoyed Nick and Annie's fabulous New Years Eve parties. When my husband was diagnosed with MND 18 months ago, Nick and Annie and Team Duke couldn't have been more supportive. After a disastrous evening in the Duke a couple of weeks ago (due to my husbands mobility issues) I though our visits to the Duke had come to an end but Nick was having none of it. He asked my what John needed and said "we will sort it". We have been back twice since that evening and everything has been put in place to make our visits enjoyable. There are not enough words to describe the thoughtfulness and support we are experiencing. Thank you Nick, Annie & Team Duke. (P.S, the duke has the best disabled toilet in the UK).

A lovely pub with great service and food. A lovely atmosphere is created and we were served quickly. The menu is full and varied. Meals were plentiful and delicious. Would highly recommend a visit but you nerd to book.

The service was excellent, and attentive. The food was slightly above average, but then it's not setting out to be a fine dining establishments. Good for what it was. Slightly above average gastro pub prices. The atmosphere is very relaxed. A pleasant time was had by our party and we shall be returning.

Had a spur of the moment Sunday roast with a friend. Staff were very accommodating and tentative. Food options were great along with the food itself. Great atmosphere! Would recommend.

Once again this venue provided my wife and I with an excellent lunch. My wife ordered the roast pork Sunday Lunch and I ordered the Fish of the day with chips and garden peas. Both meals arrived after a short wait and everything was cooked excellently. Everything that should be hot was, even the plates. This makes a refreshing change compared to many comparable restaurants. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and all seemed very happy. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

I only popped in to kill time. Had a lovely pint. Was not too busy, sat by the window and had a nice quiet hour. The bar staff are polite and friendly.

This is our local, so we too often take it for granted. But, one recent evening we had the best fish and chips in years; pub, restaurant, award winning takeaway, whatever, this was outstanding. So well done Nick and Annie for using a supplier of superb fish and well done Johnny (on that evening) for frying to perfection.

Perfect family Sunday Lunch venue. Large Menu & great atmosphere. Service was above and beyond. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Beer top notch - highly recommend the 3B. Proper village pub obviously owned by a Chelsea fan - lots of memorabilia in the bar area. Thank You very much we will be back.

Love the food at this friendly pub. Never fails to deliver top quality, delicious dishes. Tonight we had the shoulder of lamb. It was huge and the meat just fell off the bone. The staff are friendly and engaging. Highly recommend for any gathering of family, friends or just a cosy couples meal.

My first visit with friends, that had been there before for lunch. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. A very extensive menu with a good variety. Service was friendly and welcoming. I had the liver and bacon which was excellent. My friends also enjoyed their choice. there was no pressure to leave. No it isn't the cheapest but it is worth the extra for some very good food and ambience.

If you like great pub grub then this is the place to visit. Staff were very polite from point of booking to the service on the evening. All staff were cheerful, friendly and very efficient. There is an extensive choice of starters; mains and desserts. I chose avocado pear with prawns followed by half a duck in orange sauce. My husband chose whitebait followed by slow cooked lamb - generous portions with moist and tender meat. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. A great atmosphere andxwe look forward to our next visit.

Looks adorable. However, the food mediocre and waited ages for food to be delivered. It's definitely not worth the wait!

I took my mother to this pub recently and we both agreed it was great. When I asked about accessibility the person on the phone was very helpful and offered to reserve a convenient parking space. The pub itself is very nice inside, well presented and has a good ambience. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. The menu featured several tempting offerings; we both settled for sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. If I want to be picky the broccoli & cauli were a bit on the soft side for me, but that's personal preference and it didn't spoil my enjoyment. And then the big test....the syrup sponge with custard. Would there be a proper amount of custard or just a tiny little poxy pot on the side? I'm happy to report that this was a slam dunk, and I found myself eagerly facing a sponge island in the middle of a sea of custard....outstanding!

Had a drink here, the bar staff were rude, we are from out of town( USA) but were made to feel uncomforable. Tried to book dinner here for a party of 12 but were told they couldnt handle that many people. Disappointing

A little gem we stumbled across by accident. Very cosy, cute establishment. Even though it was Sunday lunchtime and very busy (we got the last table), service was quickly and friendly. Food was delicious.

Was looking forward to Sunday lunch here. Staff were polite, but very rushed. Not much care was taken. Food was a huge let down. Both roasts were overcooked, starter was also not great. For the first time ever, couldn't finish my roast

The Duke of Edinburgh is a fantastic Pub. We have been going there years now. Food is excellent and service is friendly. A great place to go.

Stopped here for some lunch and to get out the rain! Small car park, but we did get a space even though it was busy inside. Nice classic style pub with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Dog friendly too. The menu had a huge selection, but we went for 2 types of ploughman's, both of which were very tasty (although a proper container for the condiments would be better). Glad we came here.
