12/11/2018: Always spot on, lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff, perfect food which is consistently good. Our favorite place to eat!!
06/11/2018: Attractive & cosy village pub, next to village church, with lovely home cooked food (great value too) & friendly, efficient service. Can recommend 'pie of the day' (served with chips/potatoes & salad or fresh vegetables) & the chicken curry (which is served with rice, chips (or half & half), nan bread, poppodums & mango chutney. Eclectic mix of old wooden tables & chairs in 3 adjoining rooms & sofas by the fire. Small car park at rear with further street parking at front of pub. Great refreshment stop whilst walking Offa's Dyke or walks within the Clwydian hills which are just a mile or two from the pub. No food available Monday & Tuesday.

08/11/2018: This is beautiful building. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and then sat in front of a huge fireplace with pre dinner drinks. The service was excellent without ever feeling excessive. My smoked duck starter was superbly flavoured. We had rib eye steak and venison for our main course meals, both of us highly delighted.

Beau's Tea Rooms

Beaumaris, Isle of Anglesey
29/10/2018: Popped in for a late lunch as we walked past this place in the summer and never got a chance of trying , definitely worth the wait! So many delicious food choices to choose from, really friendly staff, lovely design. Definitely would come back again to try more food, plus to try more tea, I went for a standard cuppa but they have 30 flavours of tea to choose from so loads of choice, something for every taste bud also I must try some cake the next time as it looked delicious!
20/10/2018: Popped in for a coffee this morning and I can honestly say it was the worst coffee I have ever had! It came from a machine and was tasteless apart from the dryness of powdered milk! Can’t comment on tea or the food but if the coffee is anything to go by steer clear.

Ainsworth's Traditional Fish & Chips

Asha Balti House

Crwst, Conwy
12/12/2018: We were in North Wales to celebrate my birthday. After a week of eating local Welsh food, we had a craving for some spicy Indian cuisine and on a quick search found Asha Balti. Since we were in Betwsy Coed, this place was not too far (we had a car, but you can go there by public transport as well). So we headed there around the time it was just opening for evening dinner. Interestingly, their take-away station is the same place as their kitchen, so you can sit there and see your order being prepared. It also means that their kitchen is spotlessly clean and hygienic. We got so excited with the aromas and colours, that we over-ordered, chicken tikka and lamb starters, biryani, dal, kheema.....and couldn't wait to get to our hotel to taste it all. Each and every dish was made to perfection, nothing was over-cooked, nothing had a spice out of place, and not one dish had oil more than necessary. It was so well cooked with fresh ingredients that we ate the leftovers the next day and it was still good (of course, we kept it in the fridge in our BnB).
05/12/2018: Visited with my husband and son. Beautiful food and excellent service. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Fouzi's Cafe Bar Pizzeria

Llangollen, Denbighshire

Caffi Colwyn

05/12/2018: We stayed on holiday in the area and came upon this village on one of our days out exploring the countryside. What a lovely little place this is with lots of quaint shops and cafes with a river flowing through. We decided on a snack in this cafe and it was a very good choice. A panini was ordered and a portion of bara brith and both came quickly although it was very busy and the service was with a smile, always a good sign!! Varied menu at good prices - it was great

Peak Restaurant

Llanberis, Gwynedd, <20£
25/11/2018: Just the right flavours and well balanced. No excess oil, excess salt or unnecessary use of sauces. Freshly cooked with care! The desserts were also awesome. Would be nice if there was a kids menu too.
17/11/2018: Staying in Llanberis this week and decided to try Peak based on the reviews here. It was off season in Llanberis on a Friday night and not busy at all, which made the restaurant atmosphere even more enjoyable.
