Green Island in Isle of Anglesey

We are staying in Rhoscolyn, about4/5 miles from Holyhead and wanted a Chinese take away. Going on local recommendations we chose Green Island. I rang the the night before we arrived and asked if they would deliver to us The very polite lady that I spoke to didn't know our address but said that the driver would so we ordered. The meal arrived on time, was hot and delicious. The driver was also so polite and friendly. It was really good value for the money with large portions . Highly recommended.

Ordered from here for first time Nov 23 , certainly won’t be the last . Food was delicious, so tasty ,had special Chow Mein and the meats were all so tender and tasty . Delivery on time . Highly recommend.

This is the best Chinese takeaway for me in Holyhead just perfect,the special fried rice is a must also the chicken in lemon sauce both are just amazing. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with a meal from here 10/10

Great menu, 5 star hygiene, lots of choice, very good portions, lots of Chinese takeaways locally, I'd say this is about the best one and I've tried a good few. The prices are quite high but free prawn crackers 👍

Ordered duck in plum sauce and a beef chow mein. Both had good amounts of meat and tender and tasty. Probably the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had.

I'm local and have tried many different dishes from Green Island and they have never disappointed. I spoke to the staff and was told that all dishes are freshly made and not pre cooked and microwaved. That is evident with the quality of the food..highly recommend 👌

Had a really tasty takeaway from Green Island while we were staying in Holyhead - nice lady took my phone order then called back just to double-check the details and it was delivered bang on time to our rental cottage by a nice delivery guy. We had duck satay, king prawn satay and king prawn with pineapple and all the dishes were excellent - superb portion sizes, really top quality food and fabulous service. Highly recommended.

Wanted to try different Chinese in town and picked green island, very quick delivery and tasty food! Definitely will be back!

We had a takeaway tonight while staying in the local area. We had the mega spice box - an assortment of salt and pepper dishes, spare ribs, egg fried rice and a tub of sauce all served in a big pizza box, plus some chicken balls and chips for the kids. It was a massive portion! Really tasty, great value for money- would recommend.

We had the set meal for two persons this evening, and it was excellent quality. This is normally a sound establishment for a takeaway, but tonight it pulled out all the stops, to produce a really good meal. Keep up the good work!

I had a takeaway today 7/11/18 I don’t normally leave reviews but felt I had to. The food is the worst I have ever had, I thought I would try it as the reviews where good it smelled horrible and the taste was even worse I had Curry, rice, chips, and spareribs it was all full of Greece I normally go to mandarin kitchen and that’s where I will continue going in the future. DONT WAST YOUR MONEY HEAR

Ordered a Take Away to be delivered to our holiday rental, near to South Stack, on Saturday evening. Really enjoyed my Beef Satay with chips. Both portions were quite large and could be shared by two people. My husband had Duck in Oyster Sauce. He thought the sauce was really tasty but found the Duck a little fatty. We did chase up the delivery and it arrived half an hour later than promised. Food was piping hot and very tasty.

Was looking for a Great takeaway after the disaster some weeks ago( mention no names).This did not fail my expectations after reading the reviews.The food was lovely,we had hot and sour soup which was lovely,King Prawns in ginger and spring onions,char Sui with mushrooms and deep fried chilli beef ( not crispy enough).I would definitely recommend this takeaway and shall be going here again.The staff deserve thanking.👍

This was our second meal from Green Island and it's the best Chinese takeaway we've ever had.The staff are lovely and friendly, it has some fantastic deals, and the prices are great value anyway.The food is all delicious and hot; it's obvious that it's freshly cooked to order. The batter on sweet and sour dishes is light and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. The jumbo spring roll is HUGE and delicious, and the salt and pepper chicken is the best we've ever had.It's the only Chinese I've ever had that I didn't manage to save any leftovers for the next day!

The food was very nice and the lady took the order was very nice too. We got good advice and enjoyed the takeaway right next to the beach.

We were very impressed they did not take long to deliver and the food was delicious. Would recommend the salt and pepper beef or the garlic special. Will definitely be returning to order again.

Have visited the restaurant twice now and on both occasions the quality, service and food was excellent. Having noticed on the first visit just how helpful they were, on the second visit it was also to cater for my daughter with significant allergies. I have never before felt safe to even attempt to visit a Chinese restaurant with her. They were simply wonderful, unusually they understood the allergies and explained what would be suitable, rather than simply saying go elsewhere. They then were careful with preparation and explained how they could make it safe for her. All in all, the whole thing was perfect. The restaurant is immaculately clean and very far from the many grubby, rundown takeaways in Holyhead and elsewhere. Highly recommend.

The only down side here is it's cash only, but the food was excellent - This outlet is now our regular s far as Chinese take away food is concerned

Staff are great, chicken curry was fantastic, watch your pick n mix around the girl on the front desk 😄

I always visit this restaurant when in Holyhead, They do an excellent stir fry veg and if you want to share try the spice box.

Recogió una gran variedad de platos para una familia llevar, todos los platos estaban bien cocinados, algunos de los chili platos podría haber hecho con un poco más de un ponche pero en general no está mal. Guardado de cocina:)

肚子饿坏了～～订的外卖，招牌饭好好吃～是杂锦饭来的，QAQ，给钱的时候忘了给纸币了好尴尬，不过店家都好好，一直说没关系～～明天继续订。

Final de temporada para conseguir el barco fuera del agua - en el club de vela para una Holyhead pinta y pregunté el muy amable dueña si ella podría recomendar un sitio chino? Ella tenía un menú para éste, así que nos arriesgamos - comida llegó al club de vela como prometió (entrega). Volvimos al barco y disfrutamos de una comida abundante. Porciones bien bien preparado. Sin duda volveré de nuevo.

Todos llevar china tienen sus propios tome en ciertos alimentos, pero debo decir que de todas las opciones de menú que he encontrado uno que no me encanta. Los precios son razonables y parece que siempre pack ajustado la comida en ellos bañeras de plástico a diferencia de muchos otros para llevar iv'e estado. El servicio es siempre rápido y profesional sin duda se ha convertido en mi 'ir a' en Holyhead cuando llevar quiero llevar.

El chow mein de esta especial para llevar es la mejor que he probado. También tuvimos el pato con salsa de pimienta verde en este blackbean también era delicioso, aunque quizás un poco más generosos con Chile. En general una excelente comida para llevar china.

Todo lo que puedo decir es que me encanta el fideos aquí! El servicio es amable y la comida es deliciosa. En realidad ansía ahora fideos...

This take away never fails me..and their sweet and sour chicken is to die for plus their salt and pepper chips is just out of this world..Recently refurbished and taken back by the Original family which is great news!It's clean amd well presented with friendly and helpful staff. A must try.. you won't be disappointed!

I get a take away every few months from here.I allways phone in my order to get it delivered to my door.There is allways 3 or 4 of us who have food and the order is allways right and on time

Very good quality food and ample amount of meat and vegetables in several meals I've tried..I cannot recommend this place enough..

i met kaa hew and he said the food was 5* but it was crap, so dont go there because it tastes like moldy toe nails

fantastic chinese food with a difference , the curry is slightly orangey colour but only just slightly different from the usual curry flavour , i had duck curry , loads of meat in it , with added prawns ,lovely , my husband had mixed curry , again loads of meat and prawns , loads of dishes to choose from , definately recommend

The food here is consistently great and not overpriced. It is open late too which is always handy. Their sweet and sour pork is amazing and the sharing dishes very generous.

I have eaten here many times, and I am always impressed by their food. Their Special Curry is my go to meal, and it is always exactly what I want. Their salt and spicy chips are well worth the £3~ cost, they are absolutely delicious. The staff are always happy and helpful, and their food is made very quick. I would advise anyone who loves their chinese food to visit here :)

Spotlessly clean, fast, well prices and delicious. Wide variety of dishes and staff very friendly and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend.

wife loved her meal .mine was good to but could of done with more firery spices. the hotter the better for me .but overall the meal was good value for money .while there it appeared to have regular diners which bodd well .the service was very good in deed
