What a lovely supprise went on just eat and fancied a change phoned carribean&beer and the food was lovely never had a chicken curry like that so much flavour and the chicken wings were 2 die for cant wait for the wknd to order again👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃

Run, don’t hike, to this hidden gem, a cafe-cum-community hub situated in a converted chapel that happens to be in the foothills of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and slaw, my wife had the Katsu chicken mac n’ cheese with loaded fries. Expect to pay between £16-20 for a lunch main. When I tell you this food is both tasty and healthy, please take the word healthy to mean “fuel” - this will get you up the mountain! Just like this cafe, we’ll keep it short and to the point - this place serves up some of the heartiest food, staff, and service we have had the pleasure of enjoying in Eryri. We will be returning!

Can't praise this amazing place enough A party of 11 we had the best evening celebrating a 60th Birthday Staff were absolutely brilliant, nothing was to much trouble and all of them worked so hard whilst remaining cheerful throughout The food was delicious as always and beautifully presented, ( as were the Rum punches and drunken monkeys ☺️) Thank you Up a Yard 🙏🙏

We arrived independently with a couple of friends, knowing that there was a coach load in , They were in another dinning room.The staff were good and service was very good, food was sufficient. The staff in dinning room work too hard, expectations are too high from their managers.We totally felt sympathetically that they work long shifts,

Always great service and lovely food here. We come here regularly as its in easy walking for us, but we would still come anyway as the food is always lovely here from breakfasts through to lunch and dinner. A good selection of draught beers and cocktails too all at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

We stayed in the hotel on saturday,it is a lovely place to stay with fantastic views over the mountains,all the various food we had was very tasty,the staff are a credit to the hotel,very polite and chatty,we will definitely be going back for a visit. Many thanks Ian & karen

Gave it another go. Everything has far too much salt. Owner was very rude to other customers, especially people arriving off the street. Seemed to not like people of other cultures. Had to get KFC on the way home again.

This was our 4th visit and we were very disappointed with our experience today. Whilst the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere and surroundings lovely as always, the food was a let down. There is no longer a Sunday carvery - replaced by a plated roast, although portions were plentiful I doubt the meats were ‘home cooked’ and they tasted processed. Two of our party had ribs and these were not hot and did not taste cooked (still had cold fat on the underside). The onion rings were greasy and again under cooked. The burgers had by the men in our party looked on the pink side. We did not want to create a scene in the restaurant as it was busy with some large tables. But at £185 for 6 people it was not a pleasant or cheap experience and has left us questioning if we will return despite it being on the doorstep of one of our party.

We wanted an informal pub dinner for a family catch up. Our intended place was booked out for a function. A friend recommended the Gladstone Hotel at Newbridge which is in the middle of nowhere but well worth our drive. A real find of a country pub. Food was excellent, service was good and the wait times were short. Can strongly recommend this little pub for an informal but excellent dinner.

Great place for a coffee before or after your home around Moel Famau. Large latte is £2.50 (my friends Americans was £2.30)which isn't too bad, whilst there is also a selection of flapjacks and other snacks. Good service, good coffee and not a bad price considering its the only coffee place in town!

Have been wanting to try this place for a while. Last night myself and my husband got the opportunity to do so and it by far and away exceeded my expectations! The menu is varied, as a seafood restaurant is of course predominantly fish, but they cater broadly too, with duck, steak and chicken dishes also available. But of course I’d gone to a seafood restaurant with the name “The Seahorse” so it without doubt that my order would be fish. I’d booked a table (which on arrival I was especially glad I had done, as the restaurant is a small one). Our sever greeted us warmly and we were shown to our table. My starter was scallops with black pudding. Wow! Perfect. The portion size was exactly what you’d want from a starter. My main was pesto and cheese stuffed salmon. Perfect also. No bones in the fish as you occasionally get with fish. It was a good portion size. My husband enjoyed his dishes too, (also pictured). The restaurant is family friendly, and appeared to have a highchair, and is dog friendly too, having a bed for the canine family members! The service is excellent. Our server was attentive, asking if we wanted drinks between courses without us having to ask for them. Can’t wait to return and am sorry I didn’t visit sooner!
