The Bread Basket in Isle of Anglesey

First time trying here , Plenty of car parking outside, I like that they have kept it looking old scool inside instead of the over the top modern bakerys like gregs etc They have a huge selection of breads , pies , sandwiches etc , Quality is 5/5 ive had my fair share of sandwiches but these are definitely up there as one of the best as the fillings aren't cheap , Chix Tika & mint was so nice and the Chinese chicken had large bits of chicken in (you can taste the quality) I also had a Tiffin cake that was nice , The 2 ladies that were serving were really nice and had good customer service, Definitely worth mentioning they spoke Welsh wich is nice as most places waste the English language around here, Would definitely go there again 5/5 , Cost was good also 2 small baps , 1 cake and a packet of crisps £10 .

Excellent Bakery with good selection and friendly staff - bread is delicious. Opens quite early so good if your en route to the ferry or taking a day trip

Stayed at nearby Travelodge and popped in for a bacon roll and a lunchtime roll for later. Quality food at a reasonable price served by lovely and welcoming staff. Would not consider going anywhere else. A rare treat!

This has got to be the best bakery on the island. Super friendly staff, definitely service with a smile. Loads of different freshly baked breads and super baps for your burgers. Great selection of cakes and pastries.

We ordered 2 jackets , chicken tikka with mint & crab and prawn , well presented , lots of filling , full of flavour . We loved it and will be back .

I popped in day and I got a nice biscuit from here And the service was very friendly and pleasant very clean and organised with A very good variety on offer

Called in for some fresh bread after reading reviews. As you can see superb selection of cakes to die for. Super helpful staff and can see this being a regular stop when on the island.

Just ordered, bought and eaten the best custard slices I have ever eaten. Fab friendly staff and excellent service. When back in Anglesey will definitely go back again.

There fresh bread is to die for, better than anywhere around. Better than Supermarkets own bread any day. Nice cakes but wasn't so keen on there sausage rolls though. I am fussy with them, my favourite was castle bakery which sadly closed down.

What a place...full of bubbles and life, the staff are just SUPERB, so happy, full of fun, kind, generous and ready to helpA fantastic selection of bread, cakes, buns, ginger bread men...sandwiches made fresh on the spot, drinks......Too brilliant for words...had such a laugh

A mixed review Sausage rolls were awful, lemon curd tarts were very nice ham bap was ok disappointed as thought it would have been really nice quality and it just wasn’t

This is an unexpected gem of a bakery. The traditions of excellence in the art of baking have been handed down faithfully in this family owned business. In the 131 years of proving bread for the community it has not forgotten the old ways of making bread and cakes that bring out that forgotten taste of freshly made and baked bread. This is the real stuff made from real ingredients and made the proper way. It is difficult to decide a favourite from their range but perhaps in my opinion their CORN BREAD might just come out my favourite.

Friendly service from a local bakery providing good range of food for on the go - sandwiches, pies, cakes, bread. Plenty of street parking nearby. Not an eat in establishment, but good option to grab food for on the go - popular for lunch times.

If you like fresh cream cakes then look no further thay really do taste as good as thay look with a good choice of cakes and pies this is a one stop shop for cakes and fresh bread give it a try and you will not be disappointed

Wheatmeal loaf is excellent. I wish this bakery was on my doorstep because supermarket bread just doesn't measure up to this. Baps and white loaves also lovely and stay fresh for days... not that they'll last that long!

The bread and cakes here are outsatnding. Baked the old fashioned way - yummy. Brings back all the childhood memories

My second visit in just a few weeks due to family business on Anglesey and once again I'm impressed with service and content, the 1st time was a chance visit because I was hungry and just passing but today I went out of my way to return...and I will again. The ladies are very welcoming so early on a Saturday and the Bacon, Sausage and Egg bap is just perfect food after an early morning stroll up Holyhead Mountain. It's a shame you have to backtrack off the main road to get here but I'm sure that passing trade isn't these ladies main business judging by the queue today. I may be passing but I'll always go out of my way for a few yards to eat here

My children and I love visiting the bread basket. Lovely choice of cakes, biscuits, bread, sausages rolls etc. The kids and I love the food and the service is always warm and friendly.

Lovely little bakery, always a good selection of breads and cakes. The salad/sandwich bar is always fresh and also has good variety. It's always clean and the staff are friendly.

Tenía una pequeña reunión familiar y le pregunté a la panadería para suministrar el catering. Una gran mezcla de sándwiches y otras pocas cosas donde, y una buena mezcla de un sándwich y adultos niños sandwich, la cantidad y el precio donde todos en el clavo. Gran servicio, amable y profesional altamente recomendado.

I am from Holyhead but live now in Dubai, and i must say that this is by far the best bread bakers in the area if not in the whole of Wales, i do truly miss there bread when I'm away and always head there when I'm home, it is a true delight and a treat to get some of there bread .

This small family run bakery provides freshly baked bread cakes and pies daily with fresh bread cooked twice daily, this bread really does taste as good as the bread we ate with jam as youngsters none of that mass produced doughy bread, it also stays fresh longer but never lasts that long its all eaten up in the day, This shop also provides an excellent deli bar with delicious fillings to go into your sandwiches, I am fortunate/unfortunate that I live two doors away, fortunate for the convenience, unfortunate that the smell is so its ruining my diet.

This bakery is one of my favourite bakery's ever in Wales. They have a big orray of items such as bread , cakes , pastries, sandwiches and more ! Everything tastes and looks AMAZING ! :) everybody is so nice and politle there to . they work so hard to produce such lovely produce for Holyhead , Well Done.

Called in here to pick up lunch before sailing. Really good selection of baking on delicious bread baked on the premises. I had the crab and prawn on brown roll which was excellent. Great value for money and friendly staff. The only down side is the queue - a small price to pay

Fresh baked on the premises bread ,cake fresh sandwiches/ naps with a good selection of fillings.The bread is the most softest tasting which lasts longer than tescos or other supermarkets so you don't mined paying that bit extra.Friendly staff who don't mined answering questions about the bread or ingredients,ask and if you like a loaf that's not on offer arrangements can be made, I do not know the owner or the girls other than going in myself, I just love the shop and bread.

This place is family run since 1886, very warm and friendly staff, delicious cakes and fresh bread, they open early so anyone staying at the Travel Lodge and heading out early have something good to look forward to before they start a day of sight seeing. We visited in the summer of 2013 but still remember this lovely little place! for some reason I cannot choose any date beyond Jan 2014 while saving this review ;)

Well worth a visit. I've known people to travel over twenty miles to get bread ,baps and of course the odd cream cake.

Best little known bakery around wonderful bread far superior than any supermarkets around, friendly staff.
