It is a very nice restaurant with great staff. The place was packed, so the service was a bit slow. The charm of the place watching large groups of family of all ages was nice to see. The food was very good and everything was clean. We were seated by the door, so it was a bit chilly but not too bad. We really enjoyed watching the interaction between the cooks and the servers. There was lots of good-natured banter and a few close calls where servers almost ran into each other. Overall, it was a nice place to dine with family and friends. I would definitely eat here again.

Last evening I had the pleasure of going along to this wonderful little restaurant for a hands on cookery class. From the minute I enquired about it to leaving with my not one, but two batches of cinnamon buns (sweet and savoury) it was superb service.Chef Joni made each and everyone welcome, lovely wine on the house and his teaching and helpfulness were second to none. My efforts would not compare to his but everyone was praised. He got a well deserved round of 👏 ! Next month is a pasta class and I have already my name down for it. I went this morning to buy some fresh bread from the bistro and both Joni and Erica were there welcoming folk. Service such as this is long hours of hard work and they rightly deserve any support they get. I whole heartedly recommend this Bistro to anyone.

Myself and partner where in the bistro this evening for a bite to eat and we were both very pleased with the service and food ect. Definitely will be going back. Thanks to the staff we enjoyed our time there.

Food was good but in the space of 10 mins when I was there the staff messed up 3 separate orders,including mine and when I returned it ,I thought there were trying to accuse me of trying to get free food.very disappointed with staff,not the food.

Absolutely unbelievable food. Boss had chicken supreme. I had the seafood heaven special. Washed down with a bottle of The Lackey Shiraz.

Just got back from dinner, this place was absolutely incredible,reasonably price, service was amazing. I highly recommend trying this place but do book ahead as it was packed!!

Help friendly staff and fantastic food and choices

Had lunch at Doc's with my Wife and her friend. We all had fish and chips, the girls had small portions, I went for the large portion. The food was delicious, the three of us really enjoyed our meal. We didn't have long to wait for a table, it's a very busy restaurant. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere, the restaurant itself is well presented and clean. We had a great lunch and looking forward to returning. Thank you for a great experience.

Esta fue mi primera visita a John Long’s y no será la última. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran los mejores que he tenido y el personal era encantador. Un restaurante de visita obligada para cualquiera que busque obtener la mejor comida de la ciudad.

Delicious simple food helpful friendly staff

Mi hermano gemelo y yo decidimos pasar por Mourne Seafood Oyster Bar y qué gran hallazgo. Entrando y sabía que disfrutaría de mi visita aquí, el interior es magnífico, muy tradicional, decoración y mobiliario encantador y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este restaurante, es un gran lugar para relajarse. Estábamos sentados y recibidos por un miembro muy agradable del equipo del bar, pedimos cervezas, servimos helado frío y espumoso, para nuestra comida pedimos pescado monje con lados, el servicio era excepcionalmente bueno y la comida era excepcional, el pescado monje era tan bueno, totalmente delicioso y justo lo que necesitábamos para prepararnos para la noche siguiente. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra comida y cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz para una primera visita a Mourne Seafood Oyster Bar nos quedamos totalmente impresionados. Mourne Seafood Oyster Bar es fácil de encontrar a lo largo de Bank Street. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a jueves, abierto a partir de las 17h. Viernes a domingo, abierto desde mediodía. . , abierto a partir de las 5 pm. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona o planeando unas vacaciones en Belfast.
