Best meal out in Belfast for a long time! Food was delicious, staff extremely accommodating with gluten free options. They were lovely and clearly making sure everyone was well looked after. Price was very reasonable in today’s climate. They even asked if it was ok to add the 10% service charge! We were more than happy as, having worked in the industry myself, we know staff often reply on tips to get by! I thought it was so respectful that they asked as plenty of other local restaurants don’t give the option. Great staff, great food, great service. Can’t ask for much more. We will definitely be back.

We stopped off here as part of a walking food tour. The oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had. Simply Devine. If you do nothing else, get yourself a half dozen or more of the oysters and then pop next door for a pint or two of guiness. What could be a better way of spending a lunchtime ? Highly recommended

Informal dining but great seafood and a short but well-chosen wine list. Service was friendly and efficient and prices were very reasonable for city-centre dining.

We had the best time ever! From the first welcome by Chelsea to the last goodbye, we received the best care and service than in any other retaurant over our recent five-day visit to Belfast, a much longed-for return to my home city. Two of us had the Lobster Special - and special it was; we both agreed it was the best that either of us have ever tasted. Our two friends who chose the fish and chips agreed that it was exceptional too. Above all, it was Chelsea who really made our day. She has a remarkable way of combining warmth and enthusiasm with tip-top professionalism. Heartfelt thanks to all involved in making our visit such a brilliant experience, one which none of us will ever forget... and, of course, especially to Chelsea.

I’d give this place 3 out of 5. It was fine. The chili squid starter came in a black plastic bowl (I don’t expect to eat from a plastic bowl and pay circa £100 for the experience). The plastic bowl also toppled at one point, thankfully the squid fell onto the table and not the floor. My main, fish and chips, was ok, but the chips were exceptionally chunky and therefore dry. I’ve had chippies that have been better at a fraction of the cost. The low blow and main reason for reviewing so frankly was that the staff added a service charge, for two people. The waiter pointed it out but said it could be removed it if we didn’t want to pay it. I found this very presumptuous, frankly cheeky. I always tip, and tip well. To ask for the tip to be removed would have soured the atmosphere. I feel this is extremely bad form. In short, hugely disappointed with Mourne Seafood.

The staff were excellent throughout the evening, very accommodating and helpful and gave some great recommendations for what to do in the city. The food was absolutely superb and we will absolutely return!

Went there on the off chance. Managed to book a table. We arrived a bit early and were told to go and have a drink in the bar next door and they would come and find us when the table was ready. I studied the menu briefly then we were shown a specials menu. I went for the half lobster and my wife opted for the seafood pasta with scallops. As they say in Belfast, Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey. This was the best lobster dish i have ever eaten and my wife said it was the best seafood pasta she has ever had. To cap it all, the service from the girls in the restaurant was superb. This is a must place to go for seafood. And it isn't expensive.

Party of 6, Excellent food, Oysters & sea food chowder to start, whole Sea bass, pan fried cod, medallions of monkfish & lobster special for mains and to finish chocolate fondant & Mikes fancy cheese, everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked, and all reasonably priced, great service, good atmosphere, brilliant evening. Girando per il mondo non e' facile mangiare bene come in Italia ma, per fortuna questo posto non mi ha deluso, primo chowder ottima, secondo zuppa di pesce buona - meno pesce ma piu' condimento, dolce al cioccolato ottimo e per finire scelta di caffe' Irlandese con whisky o Baileys o Cointreau, o Cognac o Rum e anche Amaretto, servizio ottimo, sorrisi sinceri.
