Absolutely amazing place to dine. Very friendly staff, beautiful food throughout. A MUST Visit when in Belfast

11 of us over from, South London/Kent, for a sensible stag 3 days. Was recommended this place by Taxi drivers, hotel. Didn't disappoint. Was fantastic, staff and management superb. Sunday 19th May.

A great experience, right from the welcome at the door. We did not have a reservation, but fortunately, we got a table. I went for the 35-day salt aged q2oz sirloin, cooked on stone. The food was really enjoyable, and paired well with a lovely Rioja. Service was great, attentive, and super friendly. Good value for the two of us. Try it out!!

Stix and Stones: 7/10 — solid sizzle, but not quite a steak to write home about. Let’s set the scene: moody lighting, slick decor, a menu full of meaty promises — I walked in ready to fall in love with a hot slab of steak I could sear myself like a caveman with taste. And yes, the sizzle stone concept is fun — theatrical, primal, great for that moment when you want to feel like Gordon Ramsay and Bear Grylls had a bougie baby. The steak hit the stone and everyone at the table collectively nodded like, “Yeah, this is about to be an experience.” But then... reality hit. The meat was decent — tender, sure — but for the price and the drama, I wanted fireworks, not just a polite nod from my taste buds. Sides? Good but not life-changing. The sauces tried their best, bless them, but they weren’t singing soprano either. Overall, Stix and Stones knows its brand — it's vibey, it's Insta-worthy, and it’s got flair. But for a place built on the drama of sizzling meat, it left me feeling just a little... under-seasoned. Would I go back? Maybe. For a date or a group dinner, definitely. But next time, I might ask them to cook it in the kitchen and spare me the smoke show and the smell after.

Really unimpressed. Smokey restaurant, undercooked prawns, and a rude ginger staff member to round out a poor experience. Also no checkbacks, and it took 20 minutes to even receive a drinks menu

Food was okay but overpriced. A male ginger waiter was snappy with my wife and ruined the night for us. Won't be back.

Wasn’t overly impressed to be honest. I ordered the sharing platter which was supposed to be for two people. There’s no way that platter can feed two people. I ended up eating my Mums wings and my kids chips. I picked at a couple of bits from my husbands alleged “platter for two” I found the ribs to be under cooked, they should be falling off the bone which they weren’t. The brisket on the other hand was over cooked. We were the only people in the place so the atmosphere was none existent. I found it to be very overpriced & nothing spectacular. I really wouldn’t rush back. The bill for the 6 of us was eye watering to say the least. For generic food it certainly wasn’t worth the price we paid. Oh and my son’s macaroni cheese was so oily and greasy that it was inedible.

It's a 5 star rating for food and service. Only slight issue was the atmosphere as it was very smokey and it could be a little difficult to breathe. Not sure if the extraction fans were working correctly. But food was bang on? Highly recommend

Beef is tender , hot stone is fun & can cook as per your preference.

Waited over an hour for our food. The prawns arrived cold and after complaining they replaced them with a plate of slightly. warmer prawns, it took a third time to get a hot plate of prawns. The rib eye steaks had more fat than meat. There was no discount for the poor service and food. The restaurant was poorly ventilated resulting in eye watering smoke from the open kitchen grills.

looked up on Google for a good steak restaurant as we were on holiday here for a few days. Many came up although we chose this one. Excellent service and food! Steak was lovely - you partially cook it yourself on the granite tablets they bring it out on. Only downside was that it was extremely hot inside the restaurant - could have done with a few windows open! Excellent atmosphere and defo worth going to!

Rump steak was tough and small. Prices were ridiculously high for what we got.

Had one of the best steaks I ever had. Fair prices and very friendly staff. 10/10!

Terrible Experience – Overpriced Food and Rude Service We came to this restaurant expecting a quality meal and some decent service, but unfortunately, it missed the mark on both counts. I ordered the rib eye steak, which was £31 – not cheap – and was surprised (and frankly disappointed) to find out it didn’t even come with chips. That was an extra £6 on top. For a dish at that price, you’d expect the basics to be included. My partner went for the matured fillet steak, which came in at £42 – ridiculously overpriced for the portion and quality. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the staff. Not only were they unhelpful and unfriendly, but the older gentleman with glasses – who I assumed was the manager since all the other staff seemed to be teenagers – was just as rude, if not more so. No sense of hospitality, no interest in customer satisfaction, and no effort to be accommodating, despite us being polite and reasonable throughout. It was a genuinely disappointing evening. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting good food or even basic manners from the staff.

Although the staff were great, and our experience began very positively, the service was very slow and they forgot about us until we asked if our food was coming. The food was nice but our memory was overshadowed by the stench of smoke and fried cooking that impregnated our clothes. It subsequently made our hotel room stink!

I have never been to a restaurant with such a poor ventilation system. The moment you walk in you’re greeted with a dense cloud of smoke. At this rate they could offer oxygen masks as starters.

Mother's day treat for my wife and first time for both of us and have wanted to try for a while. Not disappointed, friendly greeting on arrival,shown promptly to table and offered bottle of water along with drinks. Was very busy but when food ordered it arrived quickly. Great selection and generous portions. Lovely surroundings, clean and staff happy to chat. Definitely a recommendation to all and very reasonable in price

It was our first time here. It was a great experience. The service and food was excellent. We ordered the ribeye and filet mignon with garlic buttered prawns and seasonal greens. I like my steak med rare so I didn't have to leave it on the stone for more than 20 secs. I was told the stone is about 400 c / 750 f. I dipped my steak into my garlic butter from my shrimp, oh so good. I also liked the seasonal greens, sauteed perfectly not over cooked. We shared the sticky toffee pudding, it was very nice.

What a difference awesome staff make. Such a memorable evening. Will be back!

We had a fantastic night celebrating my sons birthday, the staff were very attentive and lovely, and the food was exciting and different! We hope to be going back soon!

Note that we came in late, and starters weren't available anymore. Sirloin steak was far too done, and we didn't get asked for doneness level. The cod portion is small compared to the potato boxty and the price. Croquettes weren't crispy that it's probably better to just make mash. Cajun "fries" turned out to be "wedges". All in all, this didn't meet my price/value expectation at all. :(

1st time in here and we will definitly be back. Our waitress Kirsty was so helpful, really pleasant and comes across like she really enjoys her job. Food was so good but huge amount, we left feeling like we need to lie down for a nap..

I've wanted to try this restaurant for ages.. we went and got the pre-theatre menu on a Friday night (early sitting at 5.15). Often with early bird/pre-theatre we have often felt rushed through and out but honestly the meal was served at such a relaxed pace that we really got to enjoy each part of it. The staff were super helpful and it was the nicest dinner we have had in a long time! We will definitely be back!

We were accommodated with no booking on a Sunday evening, which was great. The positive reviews on google make us think we were in for something special. It seemed the person in charge also accommodated everyone else they could too, as quickly as possible. While the food was nice, the service let the restaurante down. We had to ask for steak knives for our steak, which seems such basic thing. We then had to ask for forgotten spoon for desert, and were instead given a soup spoon. Like others say, the smell and fumes in here are strong, so only book here if it is an end to your night out. Pleasant food let down by bad organization and service. On the plus, the desert was a stand out dish for me. The baked alaska was very tasty, even after the wait.

Very good food, especially the truffle rocket. I would also point out that extractor hoods would be needed, at the end of dinner the clothes were soaked in smoke from the kitchen we were sitting next to

My hubby ordered a fillet steak, and the amount of sinew in it was shocking. I got a chicken supreme, and it tasted a bit off. I know it's a middle-of-the-road steak house, but even at that, we were so disappointed. We shared teriyaki wings to start, and they were delicious. Most of the servers seemed to be underaged and very underexperienced, but pleasant enough. Just not quite professional. Overall, it was so bad that if I got a gift voucher as a present, I wouldn't re-gift it to an enemy.

Very poor food. Skin on fries were mediocre as was the peppered sauce and veg. 8oz steak was mostly fat and very minimal meat on it. Very disappointing and expensive.

1000/10, incredible place for dinner if you like your steak. You can cook it yourself on a hot plate or the chef can cook for how you like it. Place was rammed but the staff did an incredible job. Whenever I’m in Belfast, I’m coming back.

Lovely food and great friendly and attentive staff. Jack, my server was courteous and professional. I had the steak from the set menu and it was delicious. It came on a hot stone , which was perfect for me as I like it rare. And proper chips! The longer you leave it the more cooked it becomes. On the whole, lovely food and service.

A must for all steak lovers. Cook your own as you want by placing slices on a very hot stone, or the restaurant will cook it for you, whether it's rare or well done. The pan-fried cod was delicious. The baked alaska was very enjoyable, too. A restaurant worth going to.

Fantastic find. Service was excellent. Cocktails and Malbec were delicious. Steak was superb and we all enjoyed cooking it on our own hot stone. Great sides and good value. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious food. Everyone single one of us at the table agreed (and there was 8 of us!). A little pricey but it was all so tasty. House red and white were both delicious, as were the cocktails. Would definitely return, when in Belfast again.

This restaurant is star quality. The food is amazing. Can’t wait to return The staff are very accommodating and in particular the Manager Patrick who was attentive to our order and sought assurances on our satisfaction with the food. I took 12 colleagues and customers for fantastic meal. Everything from the 'chef's round table', the service, and especially the steak was just superb 👌 Will certainly return.

The most unreal meal I’ve had in Belfast, Strangford Lough mussels to start: They tasted so fresh and the sourdough that accompanied them has this lovely char to it and was perfect for soaking up that delish cream sauce… 35 day aged steak as main: I really enjoyed cooking it on the stone and it was so flavoursome and tender, I could have drank the pepper sauce and the chips had a lovely crunch but still fluffy… Baked Alaska for dessert: I barely had any room but I had to try this as I’ve never had before, I’m so glad I did as it was top notch… When solo dine I usually feel uncomfortable but throughout I was made to feel so welcome, Just an all round stunning dinning experience and with a couple of glasses throughout I left feeling fantastic… Special shout-out to my server Michelle, She was pleasant and so accommodating when I requested each course to be spaced out. Will defo be back again !!!

Very smokey atmosphere with all the food being cooked at the table. Will snell it on your clothes afterwards. Food was good but drinks orders seemed to take a while to come to the table.

I'm visiting with my wife for a long weekend and we met up with friends who recommended here - the food was absolutely top notch, service was great and with it being pay weekend, it was packed! Definitely worth a visit

Absolute lovely place to eat and can't recommend it enough, from the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a warm welcome, we dis not have a table booked but they kindly found us a table, food was outstanding and steak on the stone is a must, staff were brilliant and helpful, restaurant was lovely, great to see a business very well run and if your in Belfast this restaurant is a must go to, thanks you all the staff for your great hospitality and we will be back.

We had a fantastic experience at this place, which we discovered through reviews while visiting from Boston. The cod dish was the best we've ever tasted! The service, ambiance, and cocktails were all outstanding. This is definitely a solid pick!

8oz fillet steak on the stone was amazing. Good atmosphere and service was spot on. Cost in mid range but definitely a must to try out and was well worth it.

We are on a weekend trip visiting Belfast for the first time and came here for dinner with friends last night for my boyfriend’s birthday. Food is amazing. Steaks are finest quality but you are paying for the experience of the hot stone.

We booked a table for two, and our experience was that we would not back for a second time. Disappointed. Only steak was tasty, sea bass not worth to order, left £97 for a 2 hr dinner, and left a restaurant with red runny eyes as so smoke inside ,staff not welcoming, after visiting usual is respect to say thank you for customers, if you want a drink ,you can ask,wave, whatever, maybe you will be lucky. I would not back 😒

amazing staff, feta mousse is great. The steak is too much effort being from the stone, cutting it was a task i could do at home. The peppered sauce is not good and the portion size of any sides were so small. We both left hungry.

This steak is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Served on a hot stone, it was sizzling and captivating. The seasoning was absolutely spot on, and the waiter was impressive and very helpful. I had a stunning experience at Stix Stone Center. This was truly a remarkable dining experience for me and friend.

Patrick is THE man... Because... We had NOT made a reservation with 7 people on December 19, but we were allowed to return after an hour - "Christmas market"... What we ate then was absolutely HEAVENLY! We all ordered delicious, suuuuper delicious meat on a gigantic black hot stone... Wow! Sooo delicious... Matched wines were TOP! Side dishes were TOP... Everything was TOP! We love Patrick 😋

Try out Stix and stones(there not breaking my bones). Great service and atmosphere, lovely setting. Having turkey, honey and mustard roast ham. Delicious.

Unexpected nite out, last minute didn't dissapoint ,would definitely be back

The meat and food in here was absolutely good. I booked a table for Christmas dinner and the steak we had was cooked to right temperature. The Turkey was lovely and it was a cosy wintery Christmasy atmosphere. To top it off, the snowman dessert was so sweet and the staff were nice to talk to. Would go back again. 👍🏻

If it wasn't for the staff, who I thought were excellent it would be 1-2 star. Not for me I thought it was overpriced and the food was ok, but nothing special. As I say, you could not fault the staff, patient, helpful and chatty. Really really excellent so the rating is not a reflection on them. Just a pity about the food, I found that I have had better steaks at cheaper prices that were cooked and tasted better. I know sometimes it's down to the actual steak. But then those with me said the same about their steaks. I was looking forward to the meal, try it you might enjoy it, just not for me.

I recently dined at, Stix and Stones City Centre and had an outstanding experience that I couldn't wait to share! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive, making us feel welcomed. Our servers were knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. However, the highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from the manager, Patrick. He went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect, checking in on us frequently and even talking us through the menu items and so on. His passion for customer service and attention to detail made all the difference.

Steak was clearly pre cooked and had been drying out under a heat lamp. Staff were happy to replace but if you can't cook a steak to order in a steak house, are you sure you're doing it right? Replaced fillet was smaller and still overcooked but I would like to eat on the same day as my dining partner so here we go. It was ok. Staff were hard to get a hold of and I had to walk around to find somebody to pay. Not good, wont be back and can't recommend.

Steaks were fab. Service was top notch and reasonable prices.

Very disappointing meal..steak was tough and clearly precooked. Chips very covered in some form of cheesy blob. Nobody asked how our meal was. Paddy, who showed us to our table said if we had any issues to let him know but was nowhere to be seen. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

I like it here, staff are nice, steaks are beaut. Not fussed on the pepper sauce tho.

The host was very accommodating on a busy Friday evening for a table of two. Service was attentive and courteous. We opted to share a collection of appetizers, which were quite tasty. Recommendations would be the broccoli wings with teriyaki and whipped feta mousse.

The food was great, friendly service and value for money too. Would definitely recommend.

Manager taking staff tips,that enough

Food was stinking, bad cut of steak it was like shoe leather and food was cold. Wouldn't go again. Staff was friendly and service was good.

I went there after reading a review saying that you can enjoy a cost-effective course meal, but considering the price, it was definitely cheaper than a course meal. Starter > Main > Dessert costs 25 pounds per person. I ordered rump steak as my main, but it turned out to be rump steak, which has the least fat among beef cuts. Perhaps that's why there was little local savory flavor or rich meat flavor, which was the most disappointing part. The chicken wings I tried as a starter were surprisingly good with the sauce. The broccoli wings my friend ate had a very strong and spicy sauce. I went on a Friday evening, and it seemed like there were a lot of people visiting, including families, couples, friends, etc. I liked the bustling atmosphere.

Brilliant food! Starters were on a weaker side and plating wasn't great however steaks were absolute delight! We got a massive piece of steak on a stone, chunky fries were delish! Service was amazing, servers were so lovely to chat to! Really enjoyed it and would come back again but only for main, hence taking one star away. Cocktails (berry mojito) were so good and strong! Really fancied a steak as I was waiting for the 22:30 ferry out of Belfast. Went into town and out of all the places to eat I chose this place. There is no menu on the window so you have to go in and ask to see it, that’s when you discover their warm welcome and lovely atmosphere. I was accommodated immediately into a free slot. I asked my waiter to surprise me with me a classic cocktail, was not disappointed by the Old Fashioned. I asked for a steak with a lot of fat on it rather than in it and I asked for it the way I wanted it rather than to be presented on a hot stone. I was not disappointed. The side recommended by my waiter was lovely too, I recommend the Cajun fries. A lovely little meal under £50 while I killed some time.

I absolutely loved this place when I visited Belfast. We had a special birthday and they made such an effort for us and THE FOOD (!) - so so delicious. I normally take so many photos but I gobbled up everything too quickly. The surf and turf slapped. The fries were fresh and I also appreciated the range of sauces. Great vibes. Thanks so much to the lovely waiters and staff, very kind people.

Great food but after seeing their treatment of staff will be boycotting and telling all my international friends never return! I have brought many nationalities for food but never again plus one is a travel food critic! Treating staff is priority one!
