Heading to a show in the SSE Arena and stopped off for a quick meal. We ordered the pulled pork burger and the double burger. Both were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Belfast

A small place for fish and chips or any other fries. You can sit in (with fee of %10) or take away. We tried fish and chips and it was almost perfect(a little less oil on fish would be perfect) the chips were good and fish was juicy. The other served foods were looking delicious too. Definitely recommend it

Very cool fish and chips place in the corner of the St George’s Market in Belfast! Also has street entrance. You can eat in for a 10% fee. Food was superb!!! Service was excellent and truly felt like I was in Belfast eating the national dish! Check this out and the market for sure!! PS. One piece of fish is lots for each person! Huge pieces!!!

Only visited here once on Friday 14th February to have a chip on way home, Have to say I was very impressed Great chips, nice crisp outer soft fluffy inner, not greasy. Will definitely call in again.

As an Italian I can say that it offers dishes with excellent quality/price ratio considering the prices of its competitors. Despite being a take away, it has a small, very clean and tidy room where you can eat. Probably not the best on the market but certainly very good. Price of the dish £6.40 (just under €8)

Wow what a lovely fish n chip shop close to the city centre of Belfast beside St George’s market , service was great , food simply delicious, great sized portions and helpful friendly staff . Would definitely recommend this place for all to visit .

Very good food served by very good people. My only small critique would be to update your menu on Deliveroo. When ordering a burger meal such as a Texan which comes with BBQ sauce, you are forced to choose another sauce or no sauce which is really confusing as the burger is listed with sauce.

The chips here are of excellent quality, fast and friendly service and a nice treat.

We were staying at a hotel and popped over to here at 18:10 but we couldn’t eat in as they close at 18:30. I ordered fish and chips and a sausage supper, £17.40p. The chips tasted nicer than they looked and overall it was tasty but would have preferred to sit in and not take it back to the hotel

Had mushrooms and chips as am a veggie. Uncertain if it’s cooked in dripping but I am not personally concerned. Too good to wait to take photo, apologies image shows it half eaten! 😋

I had fish and chips in my stomach all day long. 😑 Old oil? The fries are ok, but not enough fish, in undercooked, thick dough. But elegantly served on a platter. Unfortunately, only one star for promoting rainbow sodomites... 🤮

We were here twice. Both times we ate fish and chips and it tasted very good. Freshly prepared, hot on the plate and very friendly and attentive staff. The ambience is a bit simple but comfortable and the music is set so that you can have a conversation. We really enjoyed being here!

I recently visited Simply Fish & Chips with high hopes for a classic fish and chips experience. Unfortunately, my meal fell short of expectations. The fish itself was the biggest letdown. It lacked flavor and had a rather strange aftertaste and smell that was quite unpleasant. The batter was greasy. While I understand that taste is subjective, the quality of the fish and chips simply wasn't up to par. The fish and chips were also served in a plastic bowl with holes in it, which made it difficult to eat without making a mess. Additionally, the fish was quite tough to cut through. A standard flat plate would have been much more convenient.

A classic take away, close to the train station and right next to the market hall. The food is not expensive and quite good, the only drawback is the long waiting time

Ordered with a party of four all together Two separate tickets Food was brought down painfully slow after the first food came down which meant our friends has finished their food way before ours had arrived..they were also waiting too long on a dip,communication was poor with dips..the food was good but the slow service and no communication..staff seemed under pressure.. unfortunately would not go back.

Awesome place, people working inside are blessed as well, you can feel a great atmosphere inside and even though it’s busy as it can get, everyone’s helping each other and it shows in the food as well, I was on my way to the train and opened the bag around arriving and hour later and it was somehow still warm and blessedly tasty, thanks!

The lunch deals are great value and tasty . Gougons and chips with a can of drink for £6.50 . Hard to beat .

Never lets you down, we try to eat lunch here when we visit from Derry. The food is simply the best, easily amongst the best in Northern Ireland. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and it has a nice chip shop atmosphere, sits in the corner of St George's market. Well worth a visit, they won't let you down.

They were ok, me and my sister both had fish bits meal which we felt was good value. But the chips spoilt it a little, we both agreed they were fairly hard - sorry

I got the smash burger double bacon and cheese. Absolutely no flavour at all. Looks incredible but very disappointing. Peppered sauce was cold also. Battered mushrooms were okay. Wouldnt recommend.

Ho provato (da asporto) il Fish & Chips che è di buon livello; tuttavia la porzione, rispetto ad altri ristoranti, prevede solo un pezzo di pesce (anziché due) e tantissime patatine. Apprezzabile comunque il rapporto qualità prezzo (10 £ a porzione). Ho notato anche io una apparente arbitrarietà nella gestione degli ordini e della coda ma non so se ci fossero prenotazioni o altre priorità preesistenti.

Have been to that place a couple of times. Every time I go there I feel it's getting worse and worse. Me and my husband went in today and ordered two fish suppers. To start with, there are no prices displayed which makes the place look a bit dodgy. When I tried to order the woman behind the till was chit chatting with other people so I had to wait her finish her chit chat. Finally, I managed to order. She sounded quite abrupt. Also, service was slow and tables are rarely cleaned. I had to ask the table to be given a wipe a couple of times. Overall, it isn't a great service and I don't think I will be back again.

Just had today at 5pm August Bank Holiday Monday the best real Fish and Chips on the Island of Ireland at Simply Fish and Chips in Belfast. And here's the simple reason why? Well...it's the actual thick white piece of fish served up inside a just rightly cooked crispy-flaked batter...beside a very generous Plate of Chips... with each one as individually cut and real as the one next to it I kid you not!! They're the two original elements that shoot SFC to No1 in my book And just a minute too off the train from Lanyon Place there beside the quirky St George's Market in Belfast. Or you can do what I did and wait to have the treat at the end of your day's perusal in Belfast before heading back for the Station...Southbound. As the queue is not transparent and the delivery queue is mixed with the in-store queue -- you can't tell with your eyes -- better check with the staff first if the delivery queue is long, so you can know what to expect. Prices are not shown on the display board. Also better check with staff if order was taken correctly. The cod is nice.

Very good fish and chips, freshly cooked. Batter was excellent.

Staff are very friendly and engaging and would highly recommend popping by if in the area. Food is very tasty and well prepared both sit in and takeaway, if you get a chance try the southern fried chicken :)

Large taco chips, sausage, Hawaiian burger and the salad box. Delicious! Really tasty food and good value for money. The taco chips were a 10/10! Update: ordered again and it wasn't a great experience. Ordered at 5:50pm and food didn't arrive until 7:30pm. The food was cold and soggy when it arrived. I suppose with this place it depends on the time you order as the last time I ordered it was fab.

Excellent food. Girlfriend ordered goujon meal I had fish and chips. Both cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and accommodating (asked us to sit at any free table) then brought our food to us with all cutlery and sauces. Fantastic location attached to St George's Market

Absolutely disgusting. Send stale bread, undercooked chips. Onion rings dripping in oil.tontje point the wrapper was wet through with grease. Scared to eat the battered sausages as they were over cooked and stale on the outside and we'll undercooked in the middle. Do not waste.your money eating from here.

Around 3:45 today I went into this fish & chip shop(my second ever visit). Had planned to buy a fish supper. I was the only customer in the shop at this time. I had noticed one female employee outside smoking, and there was one male staff member behind the counter(biggish lad, tanned skin, bald) who seemed fixated on his mobile phone. After being stood there for almost a minute without so much as an acknowledgement from him, I purposely did a small cough, assuming this might raise his attention? Sadly it didn't - and even with the internal access door through to the market slamming in the wind..our friend's concentration on his phone did not waver. So after being ignored for almost 2 minutes, I assumed my business was not required from this establishment, so exited. After leaving I politely mentioned my dissatisfaction to the middle aged female who was still outside smoking, but sadly her attitude left a lot to be desired..she simple couldn't care less!! My previous visit to this same place around a month previous, I'd found the food & prices good, but the staff noticeably mediocre..now it all makes sense.🤷 I have rated here as ⭐⭐, only because during my initial visit, I was happy enough with the said food & prices.. otherwise it would have been a very poor one star! MR BOSS MAN - TIME TO CHECK THE OL' CCTV, & GET THE WOODEN SPOON OUT👍

Цена как для Белфаста я так понимаю очень небольшое.Очень много местных клиентов, народу всегда много, но несмотря на это ждать свой заказ пришлось не очень очень долго.

Amazing friendly staff. Lowest prices in Belfast (when I'm in Belfast I pop in on my way back to train, usually just order a chip) Today I ordered a 'small' taco chip (twas massive) when I seen the price I assumed it was going to be a few chips and a wee taco dip. No, LOADS of chips AND gorgeous chilli mince (I'm normally vegetarian but scoffing this) sauce, cheese and a bunch of massive smiles behind the counter. Whilst waiting I seen one of the girls serve up a fish and chip to a 'Sit in' customer, looked amazing. Definitely sitting in on my next visit. 10/10 😍👍
