Fab fishy food on the pier outside the fabulous ‘Front real ale pub. Delicious fish cakes and amazing salad. Crispy shoestring fries and mackerel salad. All washed down with a glass of cider from the pub.

My husband and I had dinner here for the first time on 1st April and it was absolutely wonderful. Love the small-plate menu format which allowed us to try different things. We ordered 6 dishes to share and loved them all. They were fresh and full of flavour. Even the carrots were prepared in an inspired way. If you are reading this, then you likely already know that Verdant brews its own beer. The ones were tried were delicious and memorable. Last, but definitely not least, I have to compliment the two waitresses who attended our table. They were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and nothing was too much trouble. Best service we've experienced in a long time. This may have been our first visit, but it will not be our last. Can't wait to return!

Fabulous food, great service and a wonderful view. The sole was amazing as were the scallops ! Highly recommend, a hidden gem.

Was with a small group, which slightly staggered arrival, 7pm, however it took service 20mins to come to us after saying we needed a short while longer as the last person just turned up. Then told it would be 35mins for food, 7:40 ordered, was more like 55 when it came. It didn’t seem like a busy night. Food was ok, chips were worth writing about over the chicken burger. The person who came last & ordered food, theirs came a good 15mins before anyone else so pretty much ate on their own. Wasn’t offered dessert, felt like they wanted us gone 9:30

Can honestly say this is the worst chips I have ever had! After a 15 min wait for two portions of chips half were under cooked. We saw them put salt and vinegar on them but it must have been a slight dusting as no one could even taste it. After placing our order also heard two other people complaining. Such a disappointment.

I haven't found what I was looking for: service below average and low value for money. Good food and cosy interior

Absolutely beautiful food! The pork belly was delicious and the lamb was so tasty. And the deserts topped of a wonderful meal. My husband ordered the trout for a starter and steak for the main he said this was perfect.
