Went today for a fish wrap. It was large, and it tasted ok. However, the cooking oil used for the fish and chips smelt old, and as if it hadn't been changed in a while. This put a bit of a dampener on my meal. It wasn't inedible by any manner, but it was an off-putting smell.

Pleasantly surprised by J O G, despite the warning by our Airbnb host in Wick. Lots of interesting things but regrettably for us we chose the wrong cafe for a coffee as it was expensive and poor quality. Over £16 for a coffee hot chocolate sausage roll and small cake. Would expect Barista grade coffee for that and the sausage roll was barely warm, not hot and tough. 4x the price of greggs and inferior as well. Let’s just rip off the tourists shall we!!

Tannochbrae is a must in your stay in Dufftown. James and Louis run a top notch B&B and restaurant. Make reservations. Come a tad early and have a drink and a dram in their cozy sitting room. Order from the sitting room and will be seated when your food is ready. The food is fresh, local, and very very good. Take your time and enjoy this elegant Scottish experience. Save room for dessert!

First time visiting. Stopped of for a pre dinner drink. Away from the hustle and bustle with great views of the city and river. The bar has a lovely atmosphere with a fab selection of whiskey and cocktails. The staff were polite and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely return.

We visit Aviemore annually and Macdui’s had become one of our favourites - especially with the kids . We arrived for lunch and ordered a main course (including kids meal) each (for 4) and soft drinks . My husband had a pint of draft cider . In total it cost £82 . We noticed the prices have increased and the portions reduced . Food was average . Husband ordered a cheeseburger - £1.95 for a cheese slice - not even cheddar cheese . Staff were not particularly welcoming as they have been in the past . At these prices , we didn’t return the rest of the week - we normally visit at least 4 times over the week . Maybe we arrived on an off day but it was disappointing .
