We stayed at the property for one night and were very happy with everything. The room (double bed) was perfect for our short stay and had everything we needed. The shower was excellent and the bed comfortable. We were upgraded to a Seaview room upon arrival and we really enjoyed the great views of the bay and Inverness. Andrea, our host, gave us a warm welcome and served us a wonderful (cooked) breakfast the next morning. Parking is available on the street right outside the door. So you really don't have to look long here. There is also a lounge with a refrigerator and a winter garden. However, we didn't use this during our stay. We will definitely be happy to sleep here again when planning a trip to Inverness.

We have now visited this small but bright and airy cafe/eatery twice now. The food is absolutely delicious, the service could be better but that's ok as the food really is yummy and both times we felt welcomed and will certainly be going back. Seating inside and outside on a quiet shoreside road. They also offer cake, icecream and coffee to go (maybe the whole menu... i've not asked).

Breakfast was provided in the tea rooms downstairs and was absolutely delicious- Stuart did us proud. A regular visitor to this great wee place I am and it just gets better and better. Everything from sandwiches to meals are all freshly made/cooked and always delicious. Popped in for lunch today and was so fortunate that my favourite seat overlooking the water was the only one available. It was so busy that people coming in after us were opting to sit outside on the tables along the front of the building. Although busy, it was such a relaxed atmosphere to be in while everyone waited patiently to be served. The staff were very friendly and polite and managed some banter with all the customers.I had a baked potato and just love the beetroot coleslaw that it comes served with , making a pleasant change from the norm. My husband opted for a small portion size of haddock and chips as we had already decided to push the boat out and have desserts after. Everything is locally sourced produce and while we were there the fish delivery came in from the local fishman ( Billy the Fish). If you have room there is a chilled cabinet full of scones, traybakes and cakes. Portion sizes for these may have you asking for a doggy bag. (Also provided if asked). It will soon be coming up a year since this wee gem of a place was taken over by a great wee team . Here's to many more years to come. You are all doing a great job.

Far too many tables and chairs in the lovely little cottage on the waterfront. Sat at a table for four but no way would there be room for 4 to sit at it. A lot of racket from us and others having to move tables and chairs to be able to sit comfortably. Would definitely recommend some tables for 4 be made into tables for 2 and at least 1, if not 2, tables be removed.Food: baked potato, which the menu explained was accompanied by beetroot coleslaw and cos lettuce salad. Chose to have the Prawn Marie Rose with this.I expect to get what the menu states and loathe with a passion when I get something else. The cos lettuce salad which I was really looking forward to had one wee sliver of cos...the rest was other salad leaves. It was also coated in a garlicky creamy dressing which I didn’t expect nor want. The beetroot coleslaw was a disappointment...too much mustard and too ‘creamy’ than veg. I could t eat either. The baked potato itself was just on the border of being cooked correctly and, whereas the coleslaw did not have enough sauce, the prawns had too little. Thought we would try a coffee and cake as they looked nice and almost gave up with having to wait so long.Service: very pleasant but not attentive. There was a waitress behind the counter doing nothing but standing with arms folded whilst we had empty plates waiting to be removed. We also wanted to order more food and drinks. Another waitress cleared tables where customers had left! I would Suggest that customers who are still in the establishment be given attention first. We almost left but my stubborn streak was determined to get a coffee.Coffee and cake: Americana coffee was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed a good sized cup. Ginger cake was delicious and a good size portion. Not sure if you can pay at your table or if it has to be on the way out. We paid on the way out cos we could t wait to catch someone’s attention again. There was no where to leave a tip.Recommend? ....for coffee and cake.

On our way out of town, we stopped here just as their power was knocked out by an end-of-season storm. The owner and his son jumped through hoops to get us coffee (we might have died without it!) and whatever they could cook without electricity. Luckily, the intermittent power cooperated enough that we were able to eat breakfast and avoid caffeine withdrawal. Everything was tasty and home made, and they literally could not have been more friendly. Highly recommended!

Lovely clean restaurant and friendly staff .This was one of the best scones we have had served with home made plum jam very tasty , a change from the plastic jam you get in some cafes . It was just what we needed after going into Inverness to purchase a Christmas present I had mislaid. It was a nice and relaxed environment .

Went to White Cottage yesterday with three office colleagues for our Xmas lunch out. Excellent menu, popular choices were Prawn Cocktail, Turkey with all the trimmings, roast potatoes and veg, Vanilla and cranberry cheesecake, all for £16.00!!!! Excellent value, hearty portions of beautifully cooked food. Very well looked after by attentive and pleasant staff, no alcohol licence but allowed to take in our own wine which was chilled and served to us.This is fantastic value and very high quality cooking, highly recommend this venue withits stunning outlook of sea views.

Had a lovely three course Christmas dinner for £16!!! Bargain, plenty of turkey, extra gravy and lovely roast vegetables, with stuffing and pigs in blankets and nor forgetting the cracker!. we all enjoyed all three courses. Polite and friendly staff, perfect views too. So glad this week place is up and running again. We will be back.

Visited this venue for the first time with a group for lunch. The turkey dish was so disappointing. The turkey was tasteless and did not seem like fresh turkey either in taste or texture. The carrots were rock hard and the sprouts were chewy. The stuffing was not like any stuffing I have ever seen or tasted . The cheesecake was more like trifle.I cannot however fault the service which was excellent. Such a shame that the food was so disappointing

There used to be a ramp in to this delightful tea room but this has been removed and steps put in place. No disabled access, especially for wheelchairs - is this allowed in this day and age? Love the setting, food, service and the view but will not be able to visit as it was too much of a struggle to get up and down and the steps, so very disappointed by that

After seeing adverts for their Christmas afternoon tea we decided to round off our shopping trip by trying out the Tea Room and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff to this relaxed cosy tea room. The Christmas tea consisted of choice of teas, smoked salmon /cream cheese sandwiches, turkey and stuffing sandwiches and egg sandwiches the bread was soft and the filling delicious. Then came the cakes... mince pies, the most delicious scones which melted in the mouth with cream and jam, mini slices of Christmas cake, strawberry tarts and chocolate filled cakes. Much to my delight the waitress informed us that boxes were available for any cakes we could not eat and I must admit we both went home with our boxes full. There is a wide and varied menu and we shall be returning to sample more from this this little gem.

Still a favourite place to stop for a bite to eat when I am passing through or stopping in Inverness. Friendly and cosy.
