Came as part of a group of approx 17. We had pre booked for a Christmas meal, and had also given our meal choices ahead of time. The service was terrible/slow in the extreme (As in we were waiting over 1.5 hours between starters and mains - we had booked for a 2pm lunch, our mains came out at 4.30pm). Some dishes were missed, one pre- booked dish they didn't have. The food came out somewhere between completely cold and lukewarm. Unsurprising really when we were told they were plating 45 mins before the dishes started arriving. Some of us had finished before others even had their food on every single course. Even dessert took 20 minutes to arrive after we were told they were ready and on their way. Nothing was particularly tasty either to make the wait worthwhile. Awarding 2 stars as opposed to 1 as the manager(?) didn't charge us full price as we were so unhappy with our experience.

Fabulous beers in a terrific environment. Don’t be put off walking from Bakewell. Short 15 minute walk. Huge interior but warm and comfortable and a great vibe even on a Thursday afternoon in November.

Called in for a lamb kebab. Only to be told we couldn’t pay by card. Managed to order online in the shop. Paid extra for the kebab to be on a garlic naan bread. This turned out to be a tortilla wrap. Which fell apart and was so thin it couldn’t hold the kebab meat. Everything else was ok. Won’t bother returning.

We visited asked if still serving, we were lead to smallest part of the seating area near kitchen , we are not small people ( children) , and seating was very tight, we felt in the way of others. 1st impression menu on a scruff sheet of paper, menu not laid out clearly, smell of burning food oil like a greasy cafe smell. Tried to order several options off the menu all sold out even jacket potatoes? ( jacket potatoes simple you’d have thought ) the company only serve until 3 pm on a busy Saturday in November. Ordered a pot of tea took a while to come was then told no sugar they’d ran out ? I prefer a sweet tea so refused the tea they took it away then brought same tea back to me with 2 little sugar packets they’d scrapped up from somewhere ! No thank I said, and so asked for exchange to hot chocolate ( the cup could not have been smaller I’d been happy with more hot water in the drink ) they did not seem happy to oblige. I ordered a cheese and tuna melt it was the worse ever, the tuna appeared to be straight out of tin then smeared on the bread, the small pot of coleslaw appeared shop brought terrible . Food well over priced very disappointing we will not be returning. While waiting I looked a round the place it looked scruffy ( could not leave as we’d paid ) there were Halloween decs still up ? Why there was plenty of staff but we had a poor service. On leaving we were polite but felt staff appeared sarcastic as all their eyes appeared to be on us, staff ‘s farewell did not feel nice. Some advice be nice good customer service goes along way.
