The best restaurants serving Other international-cuisines food in Chester City Cheshire West and Chester North West

Sabrosa comida vegetariana servida, porciones de buen tamaño, pero se sentía falta de atención al detalle. Aunque la comida fue agradable, hubiera sido bueno tener remolacha y un plato principal de hornear de coliflor con más textura y color, por ejemplo, nueces en el plato principal y servido con pan crujiente, y el plato principal servido con muchas verduras en lugar de una pequeña porción de ensalada de col pálida. Mi desierto de lío Eton también tenía muy poca mezcla de ciruela, que también me pareció decepcionante. Como grupo sentimos que había muy poco personal sirviendo y, por lo tanto, no parecía tener tiempo para preguntar cómo estábamos disfrutando nuestra comida, etc. y tuvimos que esperar un tiempo considerable para tomar té / café, momento en el que un buen número de comensales había dejado.

Shrub is great! In a way it single-handedly made Chester ‘vegan-friendly’ and its continued success is very much deserved. Food-wise, it’s very much become a ‘small plates’ restaurant. With a few exceptions, most of the menu consists of tapas-sized plates of food and I’d recommend getting 3 or 4 if you go down that route. Literally ALL of the food at Shrub is fantastic but a special shout out to the tofu cubes which have featured on the menu for a few years, with the occasional change of flavouring. They really are immense and I could probably eat them all day if I had to! Dessert choices are varied and excellent too, and the staff are always friendly, fun and just the right side of attentive. The decor is also bang on point: modern but not too cold or bland. Shrub is a nice place to be during the day or for that cosy, intimate evening meal. For some of the best quality plant-based food in Chester, Shrub is hard to beat.

Visited Chester for a concert. So glad we checked out the menu. Food was amazing. Service was impeccable. Next time we are in Chester we will be back. Thank you

I don’t like to be negative against small businesses but attention to detail is everything. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast bap to be eaten together as a breakfast. I got my buzzer which went off only for the cappuccino to be served to me while I waited about 10 minutes for the bap. I had to stand nearby and drink my coffee when my bap was available I had drunk my coffee already. That really isn’t good service. Is it? The food itself was great.
