The atmosphere was great, the food and drink delicious and our server Lauren was friendly and knowledgeable about the food - great experience.

Had a fabulous meal at Turtle Bay in Chester with great service from Eleri. We arrived quite late but nothing was too much trouble and the food and drinks were all delicious! Great way to celebrate our son’s birthday - thank you to all the team!

We had bottomless brunch and it was super fun! Ugne was our server and we had the best time with her! She was super friendly and knowledgable and we had some really good laughs with her!

As always , great experience haha. Big thanks to Hannah for helping us with the cocktails! Delicious food.

Honestly can’t express how much of an amazing time we had. My bartender was amazing explaining the drinks menu as I hadn’t been before and she was so patient with us, I think her name was kate or Katie, she was smiley and energetic, couldn’t give her enough praise, Food was amazing, hit right on my taste and will definatly be back

Great tasting food and excellent service. Although it was a bit busy and short staff Gee was amazing and food and drinks service were first class.

Thanks to Santa for giving us a voucher my better half and me visited here for the first time with an added bonus of downloading their app I also got a further twenty pound off offer with a fifty pound spend . Found the food refreshingly different and a nice change from the norm two for one cocktails as well meant it was an enjoyable afternoon, decent food decent service made for a big tick from us . Only suggestion maybe when having shelled prawns is to accompany it with a finger bowl to clean up after opening them . Looking forward to a return visit .

We get served by a lovely lady Hannah. Despite there being a big party, she was amazing, super quick in getting us started and getting drinks arrived to us. On top this she was really friendly, nothing but apologetic about the less than 5 minute wait for our table. Honestly one of the best experiences with bottomless brunch I’ve had. Hannah really made today amazing

Went with a group of 5 friends on a Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday. Got the first round of drinks in while waiting for our table, ordered 3 cocktails and it turns out we could have got a 4th for free, but the bar tender didn't mention it. I also ordered a red stripe, which you could see while he was pouring it that the gas had gone, but he handed the flat beer over anyway. We gave it back and said it was flat to which he agreed and then said he'd have to change the barrel if we wanted another one then just stood there in silence I guess waiting for us it say it's OK and we'd just take the flat beer (we didn't) about 15 minutes later we got given another flat beer from him which I'm guessing was just the original. The food itself was really good, the wait time between course however was ridiculous, between starters and mains it must have been about an hour. We did order another few red stripes later, and they clearly changed the gas as they were exactly as you expected them to be. Getting the bill was the same, no one came to us for ages, had to ask for it several times, even asked a manager who seemed to forgot as he spent the next 15 or so minutes just chatting to colleagues. Food was great but the staff really let this place down, you'd generally expect chains to do better given the resources they have.

It was my first visit to this chain, and I really enjoyed it. Service and food were both great. There was a little confusion over our drinks, as we had ordered 241 cocktails but got charged full price. The manager rectified it quickly. Would recommend.

First time here since it opened. Definitely won't be the last. Lovely food! and Hannah W the waitress was brilliant and attentive. Looking forward to going back already.

Our group had preordered food, and yet it still took over an hour to come out. We were hungry and chased it a few times. The food was finally brought out a few items at a time over a period of 10 minutes or so, in a chaotic way, and the staff didn't say what each dish was so that people could indicate that it was theirs. Mine was given to the wrong person and they ate some before realising, so it had to go back. Despite it being a 'casserole-style' dish with rice, which would just have needed heating up rather than being cooked to order, it took at least 20 minutes for a replacement to come. I had to chase this and when it arrived it wasn't hot. So I ate after my friends. The food tasted OK. I won't bother going here again.

Food was okay. But the staff not very attentive and lacked coordination. Asked for rum without mixers all arrived with mixer. This was later fixed. Then they later arrived with desserts when we've only just been served the mains. Desserts we didn't order either. Allergens we're not asked for.

Our server Paddy and the security guard at the door were super friendly and welcoming however this is unfortunately where the positives end. Very slow to get drinks/starters/mains. Drinks were seen sat on the bar for a while and it wasn't until our starters came and we stated that we were still waiting on drinks that they were brought over. Very long wait between starters and Mains. When mains came they were overcooked and missing items.

Food and cocktails were great! Second time visiting and has been fab both times. Friendly staff, Paddy our waiter we had both times was full of life. He gave us great cocktail recommendations and made our experience wonderful on both visits :)

We had been waiting SO LONG to go here after we learned a turtle bay was opening and it was definitely worth the wait! The 2 of us went for a little date night - honestly was great! Food was fab - I had the seafood soup bowl and my husband had the jerk 1/2 chicken - delicious - really good portions, tasty and full of flavour. Atmosphere was great - absolutely loved the music and the vibes. Drinks were a little slow but it was busy - we weren’t ordering cocktails though - just pints and ginger beer with gin. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to go for bottomless brunch! ☺️

Hannah w was excellent! She was attentive and chatty - Makes such a difference to your dining experience! There was a bald manager rocking around the place - he was incredibly rude to one of the young staff members - not okay!

We visited for Bottomless brunch for a family members birthday, at first the service was very slow and we didn't receive our first drink until 30 minutes after us arriving, we received our food before our drinks and it was only after asking twice did we get our first round of drinks. The management were disappointing, clearly not enough staff behind the bar and the manager kept sending the waitress over to apologies. Not once coming over himself to offer an apology! The manager also didn't inform our waitress that we were bottomless brunch so she wasn't aware when she came to take our order. Our waitress Grace was absolutely fantastic and we cannot thank her enough, she was being challenged by all of her tables about the wait time but still worked hard and apologised and did the best she could. Again thank you Grace! Disappointed by the management but the food was nice and the drinks were lovely.

We had a great time! We end up doing a brunch and were served by the lovely Awenna, she was amazing and looked after us from start to finish. The food was lovely and they had a great selection of cocktails. Will definitely be returning soon!

The bartenders name was Harry, I was in a few days ago and loved the food. Harry was a very good bartender he was very talkative and answered any questions I had.

Despite staffing issues on a busy Saturday which meant a wait on our drinks, our waitress was Grace who was absolutely fabulous throughout our stay! Very accommodating, professional and friendly! This girl needs a raise 😝.

We came out of the cinema at the end of a wet afternoon and the lights of Turtle Bay beckoned. Two for one cocktails were a good start. Eleri, our waitress, made us comfortable, took our order and ensured we had a good evening. We shall be back again soon.

A huge shoutout to Callum, who went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable time. He was friendly, attentive, and really added a personal touch to our evening. So much so, in fact, that we ended up asking about job opportunities because we were so impressed with the service and the overall experience! It’s clear that Turtle Bay Chester has created an amazing environment with a team that genuinely cares about their customers. I had the absolute time of my life at the bottomless brunch at Type Bay! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing, the vibe was trendy and upbeat, and the service was incredible. A special shoutout to our waiter, Callum, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He was attentive, friendly, and kept the drinks flowing without us ever needing to ask. His cheerful attitude and professionalism truly elevated our visit. The food was delicious, the drinks were endless, and the whole experience was just fantastic. Whether you’re looking for a great spot to celebrate or simply enjoy amazing food and drinks with friends, Type Bay is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back again—can’t recommend it enough! Came here on 7/1/25 for a late birthday treat I can honestly say our server Hannah w (after the other slow one left at 5pm) Hannah w was so attentive really chatty so lovely we had bottomless brunch and was never without a cocktail she deserves 5 star ratings from me and my son 😍 however that so called manager that was walking around gormless our food was sat 10 minutes on the pass after he looked at it twice before he decided to bring it,almost got up and got it myself Hannah thank you for a wonderful time you are amazing x

The most organised and smooth running restaurant I’ve visited in Chester for a good while! Food is amazing, comes out quickly and piping hot, absolutely delicious! Drinks are creative and enjoyable without being overpowering. The restaurant is clean and bright, our Server Hannah W was professional and friendly, very attentive and always happy to chat and help us out. Loved every minute of our second visit (not our last!) can’t wait to make this our regular jaunt in Chester!

Very spacious with easy access for those with mobility issues. Lovely and quiet around our arrival (3pm) and slowly picked up throughout our stay. The staff were very attentive and friendly, had a lot of knowledge about their updated menu and any dietary requirements. They were excited and enthusiastic to serve. The cocktails were sensational (Lychee daiquiri for those that would like to try!) and the food was gorgeous, went down a treat, especially the dumplings! We’d like to thank our main server, Hannah H, and the rest of the welcoming team, manager and chefs for their superb hospitality, and congratulations for the long awaited opening! I was a bit disappointed with the food, which lacked the flavours you'd expect from Caribbean cuisine. The drink I ordered was also disappointing, as it was full of ice, leaving me barely with two sips. The main waitress appeared a bit unhappy and disengaged. The rest of the staff were noticeably more friendly and attentive, though.

We did a bottomless brunch. When we came in, it was super busy, and we were worried we wouldn't be able to enjoy it. HOWEVER Lauren (H) made sure we did! She was amazing, very aware of how busy it was and got our orders in so we were never without. We was so friendly and bubbly she made our day. We are actually on our mini moon so thank you Lauren for making it such a good memory. Also the food was incredible!!!! We did the brunch and got a few extras after also to soak up some cocktails. 10/10 on food and presentation even with how busy it was. We were right by the bar, the bar staff were great to watch so much infusiaim and awesome drinks, great to watch. But again a huge thank you to Lauren for making the visit special for us! We need more Lauren's serving she was fantastic!!!

We booked for a student bottomless brunch, service was quite slow to begin with, until DAISY took over, she was AMAZING, she made sure the service was so fast and efficient!! There was an issue with the payment due to misunderstanding with the student deal however again Daisy made sure this was sorted and made sure its experience was the best. Thanks Daisy, you were brill!!

We went yesterday (Tuesday night) at 7pm and it wasn't that busy (half full). We got seated and were told by a server that it would be 5-10 mins until he came back to take our order. After waiting 30mins, we got up and asked another server if there would be a wait on food after we would order as we didn't want to wait too long. She had no clue and said she would come over straight away to take our order. 10 mins later still no one had come over, so we left. No one seemed bothered that we had left, no questions asked. It looked like one man (looked like a manager) was running the whole floor on his own. We went next door to the indoor market instead and had very tasty food in no time.
