The businesses are lovely and food is always superb, however the cleanliness of the market is often lacking.

well designed impressive street food arcade. easy access from carparks or the town centre. place is kept clean and public toilets are well serviced the food and drink is a bit hit and miss but you'll find something to your liking easily enough

Great selection of some high quality (if a little pricey) lunches. Didn't see anything that I didn't want to eat so choice was hard. Special shout out for the Thai place for converting The Mrs to pad Thai.

This really is a lovely classy food court. Not sure why it is called a market though , don't expect a lot more than food. You can t buy veg, cheese eggs etc, juat lota of different restaurants. This is a bar and food court, not a market.

Fantastic hidden little gem in the heart of Chester. I love how social this market was, varied seating arrangements, food and beverage stalls - there is a HUGE range of choices all at reasonable prices

This is a great place to go to meet friends for food and drinks. It has a butchers, plants, bakery and a whole lot more. What’s great is the variety of food- Thai, Indian, Italian, Greek, British and some Vegan specialist food places too. A lot of the food places have buzzers for you to wait with while they cook your food. Also lots of choice for tea and coffee! Also the pastry Pedlar does beautiful bakes and cakes. It can get very busy a weekends but the food places all do takeaway boxes so you can take it home if you prefer or have nowhere to sit. There’s some electric points dotted about which means you can work in there while you dine. Sometimes the toilets here can be very smelly - poor ventilation maybe? Apart from this it’s a beautiful warm and interesting place to meet friends at!

Nice vibe and environment. Sadly I chose to buy a burger and chicken strips from Nice Bites. Burger van food at Bistro prices. I made the wrong choice as there were so many better plates around me.

Absolutely brilliant place as you can all choose different meals but all eat together amazing place.

Love the new market, the food choice is exceptional there is something for most tastes all available at the same time. The bar is well stocked, and seating is plentiful. At busy times, it can be difficult to find somewhere to sit though.

Foods great, both the burrito at the Mexican and the Singapore noodles at Thai by Thai deserve 5 stars. However, I wish there was more seating area. It is near impossible finding a table if you’re more than 2 people, we always spread out on a mission to find a free table - however, it is an issue when the WiFi now hasn’t been working there for ages. You can’t message the people you’re with that you found a table, and in general, in this day and age, I feel like you could at least ensure that the WiFi is up and running when there is no reception anywhere in Chester. As for seating area, at least use the big empty hall in the corner of the Market since there’s nothing there anyways.

Amazing value for a fabulous Thai lunch.

So many different places to eat, great atmosphere. Tables are cleaned efficiently even when the place is super busy. It's dog friendly, and you can find lovely little stalls around it. Some food places can be overwhelmed and waiting time can be long but the quality and value are good.

We stumbled across this little gem. I ate from the Thai bar. Really super food and very reasonable.

Great market, one of the top 5 in the UK, especially on prices.

Food is great, had a really nice Italian. Good atmosphere especially on a rainy day. Can't say much about drinks, went to the bar waited for 10mins to get served. Bartender notice I was there waiting to get served. But then he decided to make drink for another customer who just walk in. So I walk away and left, not a great experience on bar area.

Wandered around the outdoor Christmas market, enjoying the artisan craft items for sale, the smells from the many food and drinks on offer, and the sparkly lights. All made for a festive evening 🌲 Inside the market hall was busy, but we got a table and enjoyed a tasty meal...so much choice in there 😀

Came for the Xmas market and ruined my diet lol the dude at the Churros stand was too generous on that nutella sauce 😅

Great atmosphere, table cleaning is spot-on. If you're lucky you can get some live music and DJs. Great for people gazing and dog stalking. Parking is expensive, but at least it is as prime as it gets.

Shouldn't be called a market. Sorry but I didn't really see this as a market. Full of coffee shops and bars. Disappointed. What has happened to the good old markets far cheaper than shops? Non existent now I'm afraid. Even the Bury market isn't what it used to be

5* for a brilliant place; even though more of a food hub now, than a traditional style market. The venue must not rest on its laurels though.

My family and I visited, we have varied tastes, but all found excellent food to eat and stalls that were interesting, the people there were fun too I highly recommend the cheese toastie from a stall that had the word cheese in the name iirc? It was excellent The thing that really impressed me was the bathrooms, a lot of my friends are non gender conforming, and have told me about the struggles of figuring out which bathroom to go to, and this place has a gender neutral bathroom in addition to the mens and women's ones!

The staff at the The Fresh Pasta Kitchen are so rude especially to women. The food is not great either. Definitely avoid

I remember the old market that was on the other side of the road, and this place is a world apart from the old one. It's a brand new purpose built structure. It has individual fast food stalls built around 3 main seating areas. There's a huge choice of foods including English,Thai, Italian and Asian and a main bar at the rear of the hall. Each time I've been it's always been busy, even midweek. The thing I really like about it is that it's very simple to order. You can just go up to a stall and pay cash and get your little buzzer which goes off when your meal is ready to pick up.

Great selection of places it would be five stars but they need some security as some people were hanging around waiting for us to finish eating or leave some food so they could eat the scraps, they did have staff coming around and taking people's plates but it feels like putting a Band-Aid on it rather than sorting it out completely, it made me feel uncomfortable and didn’t feel very safe

Brilliant market with lots of great food variety, really adds charm to the already charming Chester. My only gripe is there’s not enough seating, it’s always a scout and scramble for an empty table on every visit.
