A discovery in Harwich and a recommendation before taking the ferry! Very good food, very fresh produce used, crispy chips, my partner had sumptuous pilav with his moussaka.lots of options including vegetarian ones. Good value for money. Super friendly charming service! We will definitely be back next time in Harwich.

They have amazing management, the staff are friendly, polite and attentive. Amazing atmosphere, exquisite food. Would definitely recommend and visit again. 10/10

Absolutely amazing food! Went here with my partner, our children and my mum. Unfortunately some of the food e ordered wasn't available, but what we had was delicious. Great portion size and good price. Our daughter ate from the kids menu and said the food was worth 1000 stars, and tasted better then burger king and kfc! She's a very fussy eater so that's a big compliment! We're from London, but will definitely be back to enjoy the lovely food at Soul Food again.

2hrs later than the latest time quoted, chased and phoned, but didn't get an update (only an "on its way" each time) - 3hrs to deliver food from somewhere that's a 20 min drive away - shocking. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this is the 3rd time its been like this

Don't let the outside put you off. The Essex Skipper is a great pub with excellent service. The owners have put a lot of thought into there pub with a great outside space. Great value.

Great quality food, friendly staff only downside was it was a little cold but loved it anyway we consistently enjoy meals here.

Been going to the barns for breakfast, lunch with family and friends for a couple of years Always great food ( new owners have kept the menu and added many of there own dishes ) The staff are always polite and friendly Please ignore any negative reviews and try for yourself you will not be disappointed Very good value for money also See you soon Lisa &nigel
