Turkish Meze Bar in Tendring

Just ordered through food hub. Only delivered £10 worth of a £50 order. We called to sort it, listened to the owner argue with his staff for 5 minutes, then he shouted at my husband on the phone and argued and hung up on us! Absolutely ridiculous service and would avoid avoid avoid!

Food was really nice! Would highly recommend the Kofte Iskender. Even in a takeaway box it was lovely and great value in my opinion.

A discovery in Harwich and a recommendation before taking the ferry! Very good food, very fresh produce used, crispy chips, my partner had sumptuous pilav with his moussaka.lots of options including vegetarian ones. Good value for money. Super friendly charming service! We will definitely be back next time in Harwich.

Large selection of Mediterranean dishes with vegetarian and also 1-2 vegan options with nice seating to eat on site. The service was also nice and there was even a greeting from the kitchen as a starter. Great value for money!

Incredibly nice service, they even served us an entrance without us knowing and let us customize what we wanted to the fullest, even offering us free bread. Sadly we were the only ones in the restaurant, they deserve more.

Chaotic and unfriendly. This used to be a friendly place with good service. The service now is possibly the worst I've ever come across. I went in to place a takeaway order. The waitress was telling someone who had just placed an order that it would take a very long time because they were so full (it was half full). I asked if they were taking orders for takeaway and after a lot of umming and ahhhing she decided grudgingly they would serve me, but it cash only. I picked up the takeaway menu but she took it off me and told me to order from the restaurant menu ("because the prices are different" - of course they're different, you're not getting table service). The whole experience was very unprofessional and slapdash. The worst part, however, was when teo young ladies walked in and asked very politely if they could use the rest room as the public toilets were locked. They were refused very brusquely with the excuse that the toilets were for "paying customers only". It was at that point that I told them I'd changed my mind about ordering and that they really should have let a desperate, polite young lady use the toilet. Just after I left I was very pleased to see one of the other diners leaving the restaurant to show them the way to a pub which was presumably kinder and more generous with restrooms.

Even though it was late, it was worth waiting for. Very tasty.

The food was amazing. Fresh tasting, definitely eat here again. The only issue was we asked for no salad in my sons wrap on their website and come with loads salad on. Next time we wil call rather that oered in website

I can't give less than 1 star but I really WANT! It's absolutely joke we wait for our food to be served for more than 1 hour,They have absolutely no clue what they doing! THEY RUIN OUR HOLIDAY DINNER!

Amazing food, freshly made. Been here a few times with friends and family and it is consistently one of the best restaurants in the area. The meat is cooked to perfection, the salad super fresh, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. 100% recommend and definitely will return.

Best takeaway in town both waitress did and amazing job . I feel bad that they had to deal with abusive customer on phone . There is no need to be rude . Definitely coming next week

Came to Harwich for a couple of days break with our two daughters (12+15) and was looking for somewhere to eat between burger and chips and posh restaurant. Turkish Meze bar came recommended on Google so we opted for that and we were so glad we did. The service was warm, friendly and accommodating, the menu choices were authentic and exciting (to the point where we ordered practically all of the hot and cold meze starters because it all sounded amazing). We were right though because the food was beautifully presented and delicious, everybody loved it including my fussy kids !! Decor basic but spotlessly clean ( more important in my opinion). Highly recommend this place for great food, exceptional service and excellent value for money.

Absolutely wonderful team working there. The hostess/waitress was charming, accommodating and very knowledgeable. They make their own chilli sauce from a traditional family recipe and it is delicious! The food was 😍😍😍 too!

The order was late and they then forgot a whole meal of a doner kebab, called up they said it would be sent straight away. Nothing received 30 mins after and every one else finished their food has even arrived. Still no update on the missin meal

Found this place after ferry from Holland last year. Liked it so much we came back this year on our way to Hook of Holland. Food was great and particularly liked friendly service by Kimba, a real asset 😃. We’ll be back next time.

I attended tonight with my brother who is vegetarian, we asked Pauline who was very attentive to us what we should have and we had the most delicious mix of hot and cold Meze! Totally recommend to anyone in the mood for brilliant service and amazing food!

Food was absolutely gorgeous! So rare to find a Turkish restaurant outside of London that does Lahmacun so I was very excited to order it and I am happy to say they were absolutely bloomin’ lovely!

As always meet was over done. Meet and dips previously frozen and defrosted. Oil levels high. We'd previously swayed away from this establishment returned tonight and was equally disappointed.

Order a takeaway here food is delicious however when went into the restaurant the waitress I think Pauline was her name was rude and look like fed up , don’t know who messed up our order the chef or waitress will not be coming to this again and don’t recommend sit in and eating

Баранина смачна, соковита і м'яка))) Креветки в паніровці, перший раз їв такі смачні креветки . Окрема частина це десерт. Це мега смачний шоколадний торт з морозивом. Бісквіт не забитий, повітряний і соковитий. Окрема подяка офіціанткі, дуже привітна і приємна людина. Рекомендую відвідати )))

I had an excellent dining experience at Turkish Meze Bar in Harwich. The food was delicious and prepared in a traditional way. It was also very affordable, and the waitress was friendly, even giving us complimentary pita bread with dips. The restaurant is also very child-friendly. I highly recommend the köfte, lahmacun, and chicken shish kebab. 5 stars!

me and my family come to this restaurant for a birthday meal not too long ago. The food was lovely the chefs where fantastic with out special requests was a lovely atmosphere except the waitress. i’m not aware of her name all i know is i over heard it began with P. She was rude a bossy and not someone i want handling our food. She demanded to sit where she wanted not where we felt comfortable (this is normal to some restaurants but there was no signs on display and we where already seated. seen as there was no one else in the restaurant then us at the time we thought this was quiet rude). The food was lovely but we won’t be back while she is there. as well as that she was not happy when we made changes to our food and got moody with us and sighed when we edited it. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars but i feel the waitress had ruined our experience so we now use the other turkish just down the road.

I’ve been working away this week and stumbled on this fine restaurant, the staff are incredible, the food is outstanding and prices are excellent considering the current climate, the restaurant wasn’t busy but food orders were consistent, like me lucky people who chose correctly in my opinion, I ate here 3 times and was blown away all three times, the taste is straight out of Turkish paradise, the restaurant is well lit and blended with traditional and modern touches. Get your friends and family and come have a treat, you won’t be disappointed I’m sure 👍🏻 Get the ‘Lahmacun’ for an extra treat 😋

Sehr gutes Essen (einmal mit Lamm, einmal vegetarisch). Besonders hat uns gefreut, dass wir um 21:30 Uhr noch im Restaurant essen konnten. Und der türkische Tee aufs Haus war eine nette Geste!

Cannot fault superb food and service,!

Ended up here after a meal, sounds crazy, but a meal was booked for our family and my daughter was so upset with the food she refused to eat. We have allergies, anxieties and autism... Visiting the area I Google, gluten free local. And randomly this place popped up .. I took her and we walked there ... I can honestly say they were amazing, explained allergies and they went through what she could have and mixed it about... She was comfortable, we were able to get take away and went to the beach. She thoroughly enjoyed it ! Put the biggest smile on her face. I can not be any more thankful for the patience and time you took.. probably seems normal for you but for us it meant so much. When we visit Harwich again, we are coming back
