Lovely food. Goats cheese, crispy chilli beef, beef brisket and chicken and chorizo penne. All delicious. Great service. Highly recommend

First visit to Academy with a few friends after hearing good reports through word of mouth. We really enjoyed our evening. The restaurant itself is slick and chic, service was excellent and the food was absolutely great. I had the mushroom arancini, steak and eton mess. Loved all of it. Would highly recommend.

If you want a great food and great cocktails and great staff then visit here ... this place is always consistent and welcoming

What a fantastic experience with the best tasting afternoon tea I've tried to date. Not only does it look good but the flavours are out of this world. Its a shame its closing but I'm looking forward to trying the new restaurant.

Eating anywhere you’d think you would leave full and satisfied. Sadly for us not here, portions are very very small for dinner and not as full of flavour as they’d like you to believe. However service was excellent but food is still missing the spot, for the price point in Belfast it’s an expensive place for not very much.

Beautiful food, friendly staff, relaxed and warm atmosphere and reasonably priced based on their 1988 lunch menu. From the outset we felt welcomed. We booked shortly before the lunch hour and explained to the waiting staff that we had an appointment to attend in an hour. They were extremely prompt with our food which didn’t lack quality as a result of speed. We had the salted cod croquettes with a zesty dip, followed by the deliciously smooth chicken liver parfait and creamy mussels starters. We chose the roast squash and whipped ricotta for one and the mushroom pappardelle for the other main course. Due to their efficient delivery of each course there was even time for a dessert which was perfectly wobbly panacotta. There was a group of elderly people accumulating, each one drifting in a few minutes apart from the previous person. They all sat together and immediately engaged in easy banter with lots of laughs. They weren’t noisy but added to the feeling of this being a community restaurant. Having visited Shu years before I felt this recent visit delivered a new vibrancy to the atmosphere and the food. There was delight in the flavours of the food. Doing the simply things well. EVERYTHING was delicious and we would highly recommend a visit.

Wow! The staff the food the craic ….lovely night spent at my surprised 50th family meal. Daughter very picky eater the staff went out of their way not to change the food to suit her but to make her try new tastes. She left with a smile ….we eat out lots in Belfast this is totally “must try” ….small plates are the new why to eat and try lots of news flavours. Thank you EDO 👏👏👏👏👏

Fantástico. . . . la única forma en que puedo describir este servicio. Nos entregaron la caja justo en el tiempo que habían prometido. ¡Una caja grande y plana llena hasta el borde con todo lo que necesitas para una comida de tres platos para dos, hasta la sal marina para espolvorear sobre las deliciosas patatas fritas! Cada recipiente traía ooh y ahhs de delicia, desde la bolsa de inicio de palomitas de maíz, las muchas salsas, salsas, verduras que lo acompañan, las alitas de pollo en abundancia hasta las jugosas hamburguesas gordas y definitivamente sin olvidar el brownie de chocolate y el caramelo para morirse. ¡salsa! ! . No puedo recomendar lo suficiente. Tal delicia del viernes por la noche, lo único mejor sería que el encantador personal de su restaurante lo sirviera, pero como eso no es posible en este momento, esta es la mejor opción. Encantador, no puedo esperar para probar la opción Veggie la próxima vez ***** Valor excelente

Primera vez comiendo aquí. . La comida era muy buena (me dieron una papa frita) y el personal era lo suficientemente amable. Definitivamente volveremos. Precios razonables también.

He estado aquí varias veces, mi consejo es que no visites las estanterías entre las 12 y las 2 pm los días de semana. Siguieron arruinando mi pedido, pedí sopa y pan de trigo, olvidaron la mantequilla y una rebanada de pan de trigo, generalmente 2 rebanadas, también olvidaron los cubiertos. También pedí una comida de hamburguesa a las 8. 50 se olvidaron las fichas, así que 8. 50 para una hamburguesa es muy caro. Este desorden ordenado sucedió en 2 ocasiones distintas, parece ser una nueva tendencia en este restaurante.

This is a lovely cafe with a good amount of drinks and food on offer. I got a raspberry and white chocolate scone which was very fresh and tasty. My friend got a ham and cheese croissant which she enjoyed. Staff were very friendly and despite it being quite busy we were served quickly and with a smile. First time here and will definitely be back.

Enjoyed the setting and the food was ok, not a big selection to choose from on the lunch menu, but food was fine. We were a party of 5 and my issue was when the bill came we were asked twice ‘if our bill was ok and to check that everything that should be on it was on it’. I glanced at the bill, the food and drinks were all there, I then paid. I also gave the staff a tip in cash. It was only when I studied the bill there was a 10% service charge that we were not informed of when we sat down or when we booked on the website or when the bill came. It seemed a little under handed to ask the customer is everything that should be on the bill, on the bill? For this reason I will not be back.
