One of the best coffee shops in Lewes without doubt. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a good selection of cakes.

A lovely country pub on the outskirts of Falmer village and close to universities. Staff are friendly and welcoming and Martin is a great landlord.

I am so lucky to have this place so close to my home in Peacehaven. The welcoming friendly staff and always tasty food is to be treasured. I'm single and have eaten there everyday for the past week, its a great highlight to my week, 10/10 thank you Paul

This restaurant is pretentious! Over priced lack lust food. When paying we asked to remove the service charge due to freedom of choice and we were happy to tip in cash, however the manager challenged this in a confrontational way even though we explained that money is tight for us at the moment! She then did not remove the charge and made us feel so uncomfortable we just payed it! This is not cool and gave off a very hostile vibe. The food was totally overpriced and miniature so if you want to have an enjoyable and affordable pleasant dining experience don’t go here!

Booked a table ages ago to celebrate a friends ‘special’ birthday which meant that our lunch was very much looked forward to, mainly because I have been a few times before & the food is always excellent. If this review was based on the food alone then it would have been five stars. Sadly and very disappointingly our much anticipated celebration was spoiled from the outset by the less than welcoming greeting, from not one, but two members of staff. One of them rather worryingly appeared to be front of house. Not even a smile…… Neither the FOH guy nor our waiter was remotely interested in explaining the menu, recommending/describing any of the dishes (despite my attempt to engage him in a conversation along these lines). Our orders were taken with zero interaction from our waiter beyond him standing at the end of our table with a solemn look on his face. I’m not going to go into what we actually ate, mainly because my memory of the day does not go past these two miseries…….maybe they had both just got out of bed the wrong side….not the job to be in if one wears one’s mood!!

Couldn't recommend Dill more highly. The food was all absolutely wonderful - every dish was delicious, really inventive and beautifully presented. We loved how the sharing dishes would come out as they are made, and is really felt like a journey through the meal. The setting was really relaxed and unpretentious - it felt like fine dining but without all the formality, which was just lovely. The wines were also delicious and it was great to try wines locally produced in East Sussex. We have been to many fine dining restaurants and would rate this amongst the best. A real treat - highly recommend.

Everything is absolutely phenomenal! Loved it all, definitely going to come back!

Shocking service no people at the bar serving. Despite a queue, the place a strange atmosphere not at all welcoming.

Come for the scenery and beer, but eat elsewhere. Picture postcard spot & best pint of Harvey’s I’ve had in years. Lovely staff let down by an appallingly bad kitchen.
