Really nice friendly cafe with a fascinating range of unusal cakes. I had a coffee and, being unadventurous, a flapjack. The flapjack was about the best I have ever tasted. Unknowingly, my wallet fell out of my bag while seated at my table. Thank you to the young male member of staff who spotted it and handed it to me. I was walking from Brighton to Seaford when I found this cafe. after leaving the oustskirts of Brighton this is the only cafe before Seaford!

Popped in for a coffee while waiting for someone. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Tasty cup of coffee too, served with a biscotti biscuit.

Just wonderful. We'd passed this place so many times and always said we'd like to stop and we finally eventually did. And it's great. Superb Yemeni coffee. Baklava to die for. A great range of breakfasts, cakes, lunches etc. Unique, simple, straightforward l, unusual, excellent.

Our top spot for coffee and breakfast. Warm friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, excellent food - recommend the Duqqa. We drive down from London and always visit the Yemeni.

This little cafe is an absolute joy! Sat on the corner of The Coast Road (A259) and Roderick Avenue it is a quiet haven serving lovely food which is very fairly priced. The lovely staff are very professional and very friendly and helpful. It very obviously attracts many regular visitors including ourselves who drop in every time we are in the area from South London. The noise from the busy Coast Road doesn’t intrude at all and the cliff top coast path is only a few hundred metres away with a car park and a children’s play area. Well worth a visit if you are passing or standing in the area.

We arrived today( Sunday) at 4:35pm , just twenty five minutes before the coffee shop was due to close. We were given a warm welcome by Dawn , who promptly took our order. We chose to have a sticky toffee cake to accompany our coffee. Dawn recommended that we have it warm with cream…… nothing was too much trouble. She was patient and helpful as we struggled to get our phone to add our order to the loyalty card on the app. We were never rushed or made to feel that we were a hindrance whilst she prepared to close the shop. Dawn was pleasant and polite and made our visit a very enjoyable one. She made conversation and was professional throughout our experience. The Yemeni Coffee Co is a must, if you enjoy a superb coffee, in relaxing surroundings with excellent Service. We will definitely revisit next time we are in town.

Classier place than most in Peacehaven for a bacon sandwich but with the same "Peacehaven Quality". Clean, quick service, quality foods, good mug of tea.

Best coffee and cake around. However, today cafe far too hot, with no fans so asked for door to be opened. Tables much too close together although I appreciate you need to get as many people in as possible: uncomfortable visit today/

Very busy cafe . Girls on counter very friendly and helpful. Thought I would pull over on my drive. Do a bit of work whilst having coffee. Unfortunately the music playing was mind numbing . Apart from it not my taste in music. But others may love. A busy pleasant enough place

Deliciously cooked food and home made milkshakes! There is a selection of drinks and cakes to choose from and the menu is reasonably priced. Friendly staff and quick service.

When everywhere else was shut for the coronation thankfully for us this cafe was open. Good sausage panini, very good Bakewell and good coffee cake and also excellent coffee. Soya for me and milk for my companion. All staff excellent, informative and prompt. Not fussing. Wonderful.

This restaurant is pretentious! Over priced lack lust food. When paying we asked to remove the service charge due to freedom of choice and we were happy to tip in cash, however the manager challenged this in a confrontational way even though we explained that money is tight for us at the moment! She then did not remove the charge and made us feel so uncomfortable we just payed it! This is not cool and gave off a very hostile vibe. The food was totally overpriced and miniature so if you want to have an enjoyable and affordable pleasant dining experience don’t go here!

Booked a table ages ago to celebrate a friends ‘special’ birthday which meant that our lunch was very much looked forward to, mainly because I have been a few times before & the food is always excellent. If this review was based on the food alone then it would have been five stars. Sadly and very disappointingly our much anticipated celebration was spoiled from the outset by the less than welcoming greeting, from not one, but two members of staff. One of them rather worryingly appeared to be front of house. Not even a smile…… Neither the FOH guy nor our waiter was remotely interested in explaining the menu, recommending/describing any of the dishes (despite my attempt to engage him in a conversation along these lines). Our orders were taken with zero interaction from our waiter beyond him standing at the end of our table with a solemn look on his face. I’m not going to go into what we actually ate, mainly because my memory of the day does not go past these two miseries…….maybe they had both just got out of bed the wrong side….not the job to be in if one wears one’s mood!!

The oysters was perfect and the lamb was just amazing! I almost licked the plate. (The english cheese selection was also good, but I would have liked to get some information about where, what and order of eating.)

I have been going to The Peacock for over 30 years but last night was very disappointing. Firstly, I phoned in advance to tell them I have a lactose intolerance and could I have the steak with a non-dairy sauce. The girl was very dismissive and just said speak to your server tomorrow when you come. When we arrived, despite having told them we were there for our wedding anniversary, we were allocated seats in the pub, which I refused and then we got a table in the actual restaurant. Again I informed the waitress of my dairy intolerance and asked for a non-dairy sauce to go with my (very expensive) steak. When dinner arrived there was no sauce at all! And when I asked I was told I couldn’t have one. Never in 30 years has this ever been a problem before. VERY POOR SERVICE. I don’t know if the pub has changed owners since we last went but they REALLY need to up their game when it comes to allergies and intolerances. It spoilt out wedding anniversary celebrations and we will now have to look elsewhere for a nice meal out.
