Very friendly service with a welcoming atmosphere. What really added to the experience was that I was offered a sweet treat to try.... for free ! Of course I accepted.

This restaurant is pretentious! Over priced lack lust food. When paying we asked to remove the service charge due to freedom of choice and we were happy to tip in cash, however the manager challenged this in a confrontational way even though we explained that money is tight for us at the moment! She then did not remove the charge and made us feel so uncomfortable we just payed it! This is not cool and gave off a very hostile vibe. The food was totally overpriced and miniature so if you want to have an enjoyable and affordable pleasant dining experience don’t go here!

Used to go here regularly for lunch whilst working at Falmer campus. Five years on we revisited the Swan to see if much had changed. It hasn’t really, which is a shame, but we did kind of expect it. I would love loved to see a more progressive menu of traditional pub classics. Steak chunks in the pie, not minced. Calamari Rings isn’t a main in my food book, sorry. However, the food was hot, simple but tasty and came out quickly. Friendly staff as always.

Terrible. Piped music way too loud though I kept asking for it to be turned off, no skim milk for the much advertised hot drinks and no disabled toilet facilities. The ladies - such as it was - appeared to be jammed in half an understairs cupboard and when I was there it was occupied by a woman and two children - one a boy - for about half an hour. Despite my pointing out to staff that I - a disabled lady - wished to use the lavatory due to my stomach disagreeing with the full fat milk in my tea they made no attempt to evict the children and seemed to think that the distress of a disabled patron was not their problem
