Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service was very good. Ourselves, and others we overheard nearby, all slightly unsure about sizing given the menu of ‘small plates’ but waiter helpfully explained it. You can also order main course sized items. Would return.

Highly recommend. Amazing experience. A real treat. Had lunch menu and very much enjoyed it. Food was excellent (including the food descriptions given to us by the waiter/waitresses of each course we were about to eat), service very friendly and attentive, great atmosphere, wine recommendations to accompany each course were delicious too. We were surprised by how small and intimate it was, a couple of dishes were off the menu due to supply issues but that can't be helped. All the food was freshly cooked and the service was excellent, in a small place it can be overbearing but it wasn't at all. Tucked in the original side streets this place is a gem!

A massive thank you to Ashley and his team for all they did to ensure our daughter and her now husband had the most wonderful wedding day. I know the weather wasn’t what we wanted but that really didn’t spoil the day. Ashley ensured the pre wedding preparations and everything on the day went perfectly and most importantly that they had the chilled, relaxed day they had wished for. We have just had the most amazing time at the restaurant. The food is amazing, tasty and so well presented. Staff are in training but all were very attentive and polite. It was also nice to have a glass of wine with our meal. I'm sure the students will all do well in the hospitality business if they carry on like they are. Well done all . The tutors are doing a wonderful job 😄

I was staying in Ipswich for a spa break with friend. We had gone into the town for a shopping spree. As we did not know of anywhere to get a good Sunday roast looked on internet and found Stanley's in Frinton on sea. The welcome, food, atmosphere and staff was amazing

What can I say... Hands down the best Sunday roast I have ever had! Generous portion size, tasty and fresh home cooked food. All set in a cosy, well furnished environment. The staff were just as fabulous as the food... 100% will return. Well worth it.

The food prepared by the students is amazing and the students that served us were very professionally and well presented. Very polite and friendly. The price for the 3 course meal is excellent it is £18 per person. Would recommend a vist. It is open for dinner on a Tuesday, Wednesday and a Thursday evening. Just need to call west herts college and book a table from 6.15pm till 6.45pm.

I organised a day out on the broads for my partners birthday, after booking the boat, I was recommended Vic @ The Steam Room to arrange a picnic basket. Well what a recommendation that was. Vic was very helpful over the phone organising it all and explaining the numerous choices we could have. On the day, he was very friendly and swiftly prepared our feast and provided everything we had ordered for our day ahead. Homemade sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls (may I state some of the best I’ve ever had), fresh fruit, fresh donuts, crisps and finally some cold drinks. All within a loaned picnic basket to keep cool. 10/10 service, 10/10 quality of food. If you’re wanting food for your day out, or just a spot of lunch, here’s the place you should visit.

We popped by this pleasant place on a sunny Sunday morning whilst passing through Ipswich and picked up a plethora of pretzels 🥨 Sampling both savoury and sweet, the pretzels were perfect ✨ The cheese pretzels were gooey and complemented nicely with either sesame or poppy seeds sprinkled on top. The savoury veggie pretzels was delightful too, with subtle but satisfying spicing. We tried the nuts and cinnamon sweet pretzels and these were pretty tasty too. All washed down with delicious coffee ! Highly recommend this pretzel paradise to anyone passing through Ipswich in search of a satisfying snack 😊

Popped in for a coffee and a cake with a friend after a dog walk. First time visiting and I will be returning. Well behaved dogs are welcome which meant our little dogs could come in with us. We sat on a lovely comfy sofa, service was friendly and very quick. We both had a coffee and a Brownie - delicious, really hit the spot. Thank you!
