The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Derbyshire Dales East Midlands

Well it’s a “wow, wow, wow” from me. Run by the students on their City & Guilds Catering course a simply stunning 3 course meal with coffee for just £13.95. It’s set in the new build Longfield Academy but do not be put off by that. Yes there are kids around but the environment is tranquil and thoughtfully constructed with plants providing an ambience which makes it difficult to believe you are surrounded by a 1,000 plus teenagers at school. Only available term time but definitely worth a visit.

Great place, gluten free food available and very tasty. Staff were young and very accomodating and well trained. Will definitely have fish & chips there on out next visit. Thank you.

I visited the cafe with my son and when my food arrived I realised they had put bacon in my toastie. I made a member of staff aware of this and she said they would change it. She later came over to my table and told me that they usually would charge customers again, and I stated well I didn't order this. Bacon would never roll out my mouth because I don't eat it. I thought that was extremely rude! My toddler had finished and my toastie hadn't arrived, I got ready to leave and told them not to worry about replacing it. They insisted I took in a take away box which i just chucked. Little tip, make sure they repeat your order or you'll be paying twice! We won't be returning which is a shame!

Visited for lunch with my mum, we had the lunch time deal which is available currently and it is really good value (buy one main off bar menu get one half price). I had the seafood grazeboard and it was delicious!

Top place we went to on our trip to sheffield and around. Chose it as it was dog friendly and so so glad came here. The setting was beautiful. The music chilled and relaxing. Service was excellent- thanks Oli. And the breakfast fabulous. We had smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough, the pancake stack with biscoff sauce you just want to keep eating, the fully loaded hot chocolate and great cappuccinos. And even the glass of water was served elegantly!! A must try place for breakfast before you tackle those hills!!

Disappointing. Food was tasteless! Ordered a chicken tandoori masala, arrived very yellow and very strong coconut, in my opinion they just added the tandoori chicken into Korma sauce. Staff were very rude! Won’t be bothering again!!! Worst curry ever!!

I had my 60th Birthday lunch for 20 at The Orangery last Sunday, Zoe and her team were so helpful with all the preparations and on the day everything was perfect, the staff very friendly and attentive. Thank you everyone for making my day so great!

Wonderful and cosy would recommend strongly. Came after a massive hike settled down and the staff were really nice.

This is without doubt the best restaurant in Bakewell (we did not try the Michelin starred iptin as we find them to be generally obsessed by presentation to the detriment of the experience). We have just enjoyed dinner there with our son for my wife's birthday. From the warm welcome at the door it was a great evening. Our hostess could not have been more helpful. There was so much choice of dishes we wanted to eat. Between us we had the Black pudding starter and the baked figs followed by an amazing Irish stew and two Turkeys. Every dish was mouth watering and so tasty. This is good hearty ultra edible food. We had to have a dessert - one ice cream, one PannaCotta bread and butter pudding and the icing in the cake - Crepes Suzette. This was without doubt the best meal we have had anywhere in the uk in years and I simply cannot understand why it is not number one in Bakewell. Having said that, the number one restaurant in Worcester is a fish and chip shop. We have no hesitation in recommending that you plan to eat here at least twice in any vacation to the area.
