We stumbled upon this unique cafe and werelooking in the window when a young couple outside told us we should definitely go in ! They were right. It was so welcoming. The guy who served us was so friendly. The coffee was lovely but oh my goodness the cakes were outstanding. Absolutely a treat no doubt. Such a unique place. Lovely feeling about it and we will most surely be back

What an absolute gem of a spot! A reasonably small menu but all excellent quality. Only had the sandwiches but they are generously filled, with wonderful flavours on absolutely delicious bread. The lady serving is a delight too - friendly, chatty and cheery.

Me encantó el ambiente. Fue muy realista y silencioso. Perfecto para salir con amigos o estudiar. Muy buenas vibraciones con la música de fondo y las decoraciones. La camarera fue muy amable con nosotros y charló con nosotros un rato. Gente muy agradable. Sus pasteles son realmente buenos, son muy sabrosos y se nota que están hechos a mano. Las mesas son grandes y los asientos cómodos. Hay mucho espacio. Muy buena iluminación natural, con grandes ventanales. ¡Definitivamente regresaré! ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar!

Brought my parents to The Selkie for lunch and we had a super meal. Mum had soup and sandwich with delicious salmon, and the rest of us had tapas options. The food was delicious. Some also had lovely cocktails and others enjoyed the wine. I’ve been before on three different occasions with my partner and with friends and whether for coffee and brunch or a tapas meal the food, drinks and service have always been superb. Great wee eatery.

Booked a table for 8. We've tried a number of places locally when visiting my in-laws over the years and can confidently say that this is one of the best meals out we've had. This despite the fact that there were only two front of house staff on shift, both of whom delivered exceptional service and should be commended on their cool demeanor and welcoming attitude. Food was great also, great burgers especially. Wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back.

Si estás buscando un alojamiento perfecto y confortable en Dundee, Piccolo Italian Restaurant es tu hogar lejos de casa. El restaurante tiene un ambiente encantador e íntimo, aunque las mesas eran un poco pequeñas y muy juntas, así que sentí que no podía tener una conversación adecuada, pero eso no me desanimaría ya que la comida estaba deliciosa. Con tan pocos restaurantes italianos en la zona, Piccolo una joya absoluta. El menú ofrece una fantástica selección de platos tradicionales italianos, cada uno preparado con cuidado y lleno de sabor. ¡No podemos esperar para volver!

I met my brother for a pre concert drink. The place was very busy, and the atmosphere was very good. The bar staff were excellent, quick to serve, polite and friendly.

Starting with the positives all the food was delicious and the place itself is a lovely venue. I appreciate the large variety of "different" drinks but I would like to see some more staples, not being able to order a standard cola is daft. The staff were a bit mixed, the hostess was lovely and smiled, the other staff we interacted with were needing to work on their service, no smiles, no banter and just generally seemed to be lacking in charm and friendliness. The prices are extreme, 14.50 for a burger that doesn't come with chips is frankly outrageous and if we had known we would would have chosen elsewhere. Ended up being 17-18 pounds per person for a burger and chips (not including drinks). Serving the food in cheap plastic baskets didn't help, if I'm paying 18 quid for a burger the least you could do was put it on a plate or even a wooden basket, but this felt like something you'd get from a fairground. Sadly I don't think we will be back as the prices are just too high to justify the experience, better training is needed to teach staff how to interact with people, at current you'd be better with iPads on the table to order as staff only said "what can I get you" and walked away without another word.

Delicious freshly made food and excellent service. Especially good if you like eggs in all shapes and forms and if you are a veggie. So good that we went back the next day for brekkie.

Delicioso café y comida, personal encantador y siempre es encantador y cálido aquí para escapar del frío clima de otoño. También en el centro de la ciudad! *** La comida es deliciosa, especialmente los panes que usan para sus bocadillos, etc. y hay muchas opciones. También hay muchos asientos adicionales abajo. La mezcla de café es de las mejores del dundee y los cafés siempre los hacen brillantemente los baristas, gracias! : )

Disfrutamos de otra visita al Tartán. Lugar muy popular y puede entender por qué. Muy cómodo ambiente amable y excelente personal. Comida encantadora y todo recién preparado y con mucho el mejor café de la ciudad! Volveremos pronto.
