An absolutely amazing cafe. The toasties and coffee are fab, definitely our go to when in Dundee. The staff are so accommodating with our wee girl and a pleasure to be around! Always look forward to our visit :)

Best coffee ever, what an absolute treat, staff lovely, asked for extra froth and it was no problem. Will definitely revisit if I return to Dundee

Stumbled upon this wee treasure after a night @Slessor Gardens. We both had waffles with bbq, cheesy beans and fried egg. Demolished in about 5 minutes. Absolutely delish! The coffee was spot on.

The coffee on a daily Grind has just got even better with the change of beans. It has a fantastic smooth flavour right through to the end. It’s a great place to stop off for coffee and freshly made bakery goods. Always tasty and varied.

Loved this place but after a visit I thought the coffee wasn't nearly as good as it used to be? Looks like they have changed supplier, such a shame used to be the best flat white in town, now its just flat all around such a shame. Need to find a replacement ASAP!

I had Soup and Tuna Toastie , my wife had Bacon on Brioche Bread with Maple Syrup. Food deelish - and we were both stuffed. I had a Tuna with Sweetcorn meal-deal from Sainsbury's next day - absolutely no comparison to the Tuna Toastie from DG - don't know how they do it but everything just tastes Sooooo good. Even the Coffee and the Hot Chocolate were super tasty. PS : Sorry Sainsbury's !

You may not find an empty table immediately because this place is deservedly busy but it is worth waiting around. The food is freshly made and very good, with a good range of choices; the staff are helpful and friendly and there is a good atmosphere. If I was being picky, the only thing I might fault would be the choice of music being played over loudspeakers but we filtered it out and concentrated on enjoying our meal. We'll definitely be back.

Extremely over priced (£4.70 for a take away coffee) and coffee was awful. Place didn’t look clean and staff were not particularly pleasant.

Endulgent choice of food. Coffee and cakes to match. Hard working friendly staff. Dogs aloud. What more do you want? Perfect!

The barista said that he thought it was the best flat white he had ever made. It certainly tasted that way! The spicy chicken toastie was delicious too. Well worth a visit!

Dropped in while visiting Dundee and couldn't have been more pleased. It's an open, bright place with friendly staff and a trendy ambience. The coffee was excellent and our drinks were made quickly.

Very cool space, coffees were fantastic and staff were really helpful in tweaking dishes to suit our dietary requirements. Oh, and the cakes... just stunning.

Bought cake and coffee to go. Very friendly service, we could also have eaten in as it was fairly empty. Good vibes. The coffee was really good and I wasn’t expecting that! Vegan carrot cake, raspberry Danish and a cinnamon roll, all good but quite big portions. Served in cardboard boxes but not a lot of inessential packaging.

My daughters booked a table as a Mother's day gift. We were fully aware that we only had an hour to enjoy the food and our get together. Upon booking the tea room my daughter informed the staff that one of the party was lactose intolerant and also needed a plant based selection of fare. They were told again over the phone about dietary needs as we had to change the booking from 5 diners to 4. We arrived on time and was told where to sit, a table directly next to the toilet. I was a bit put off by our location and the sandwiches/ cake stand was already laid out on the table, for how long before we arrived we don't know. The outside sandwiches were already drying out and crusts were curling. The butter icing on the cake slices was a bit damp. The tea room was busy with only 2 staff. Some people that arrived after us were served with tea before us. The 4 of us felt ignored and I in particular felt sorry for my daughter's s obvious embarrassment. Were we expected to just start eating without our teas and juice available? Thats part of the experience isn't it? "cuppa tea 'n' a slice o cake" Now remember, we only had 1 hour to enjoy this rare treat. There were no dairy free or plant based options or sandwiches on the table or stand We had to remind the man that this was told to them during the initial booking. 25 minutes of the alotted hour passed before we got our tea, apple juice and plate with sausage rolls etc. The dietary requirements plate was hastily thrown together ( I personally believe they forgot) with very dry falafel bites, some carrot filled filo with a sandwich filled with,.. well we still dont know what it was. Only 1 choice of cake as well for my daughter. All in all I did not enjoy our visit to the tea room and don't think we will return. Mary's tea room staff of 2 may be adequate for normal day to day running but is obviously understaffed for a Mother's day event and was not worth the money my daughter's paid. However we did manage to box up what food was left that we didn't actually have the time to consume on the premises to take home. I had to rate 1 star as that was the only ootion available for this review.

We were only in Dundee for a day or so and decided to have dinner at Piccolo at the last minute. What a fortunate choice! The restaurant is small but comfortable and tastefully decorated. My risotto was one of the most delicious I have ever had and my wife's seafood linguini was equally as good. The service was excellent and we left knowing that a subsequent visit to Dundee would see us in Piccolo.

La comida era excelente. Disfrute del resteraunt para una cerveza, pero probó la comida. No estaría de más poner algunos menús en las mesas, tuvimos que pedirlos 🤣 de lo contrario fue bueno y la calidad fue buena
