Coffee no issues but the place has got very grubby. Some body needs to lift all the tables and clean all round the floor and the window ledges as they are rotten. A deep clean required!!

Popped in to buy a take out scone. There were only 3 left & the server said they were waiting on more coming in. I asked for a raisin & also asked if they were ‘bought in’ & she said no they’re made by the chef on the premises. But she just told me they were waiting on more coming in??? Perhaps it was the wrong choice of words ?? Anyway the scone may as well have been ‘plain’ there was 1 raisin in it, yes 1!!! Plus it was very dry. I prefer scones ‘home made’ perhaps this was, but certainly didn’t taste like it.

Dinner tonight with my husband & daughter was atrocious. Not feeling very hungry, I decided on ordering the prawn cocktail starter as my main. I asked for a few pieces of wheaten bread too. At first I was skeptical about paying £14 for a starter, But decided it must be really worth it. I was so disappointed when it arrived. £14 for a bowl stacked high with shredded lettuce, no more than 8 tiny prawns, Marie Rose sauce ruined with hot paprika. Wheaten bread arrived with a swirl of melting butter on top which I had to return as I don’t eat butter 🤢 7 minutes later a fresh slice came without the butter, the server made a point of stating “it’s got buttermilk in it” (that was confusing!) We arrived at 6.05pm and we were only being served our food at 7pm. One server for dinner time customers is definitely not enough. My husband had to go to the bar twice to get a drink… The bill arrived.. £4.20 for a glass of 7Up which was flat & had too much ice in it. £1.50 for 1 tiny slice of wheaten.. Why are the prices so extortionate?? We used to love going there for a meal, after todays £103 bill it will need to change direction completely!!

This cafe used to be dog friendly but not anymore unless they’re happy to lie on a dirty, hard, cold floor. My little dog (which is non casting!) likes to sleep either on my lap or on a blanket which TOTALLY covers the seat which I always wipe before leaving!) that’s no longer allowed despite having been ok for the last 3 years! I saw a disabled lady with a tiny dog on her lap, inside her coat being told to put it on the floor - just ridiculous! We’ve been in cafe Nero across NI, Scotland, England and Wales and 99% of time there is no issue with regard to our dog. Either this cafe’s policy is dog friendly or it isn’t - there are numerous other cafes for those who will just complain about anything to go, get a life!

Purchased a cod supper last night at around 8.30pm. To say we were disappointed is an absolute understatement. Basic requirement is crispy fish and good chips! The chips were anaemic, pale white and undercooked to the point that they literally flopped and broke in half when you picked one up. There were plenty of staff standing about, but little care or attention was given to the food. I presume it was a case of ‘it’s nearly closing time, who cares.’ However, £12+ for an undercooked cod supper is an utter disgrace!
