Smashed Avo & Eggs! blooming lovely! The lattes was perfect too! After a long woodland dog walk, exactly what we needed. Super service and a happy bunch serving too, makes all the difference to see smiles in a cafe. We will be back soon!

Wonderful tea room in the beautiful village of Lockton. The cakes are fabulous and there’s plenty to choose from. The coffee was very tasty too. They have a selection of local artists work for sale too. Nice people.

Lovely place really, but at the end of the day it's just ice cream.

We have visited the Horseshoe Inn many times over the past years and once again we were not disappointed with our stay. We have stayed in various rooms but on this occasion we opted for one of the Garden Rooms at the rear of the Inn, its only 50 yards around the building into the restaurant and its never been a problem, even in the winter when we have stayed there. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well furnished with a spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, plenty of storage space and central heating if needed whenever it’s cold. The staff are always helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them and there’s a good selection of beers and wines to choose from at the bar. As regards the food, well you never leave the table hungry, with a choice of dishes on the menu and also several specials on offer. If there’s a special we like we tend to have it when it’s on offer as they go very quickly, but there’s always something else, deciding which one is the issue…. In talking to other guests, it’s obvious that like ourselves, most of them are regular visitors which says something about the place, yes, it’s off the main road with no other shops, but that’s attraction, it’s nice and peaceful and a relaxing place at the end of a day out visiting the local tourist places. It goes without saying that we will be back.

I went in to lavenders this morning with my son and my baby. The staff were rude & refused to let us in because I had a pram. There was obviously enough space for us to sit at a table and for the pram to fit out of the way of anyone else. To refuse someone entry because do this is disgusting. Amongst talking to others it’s come to my understanding a lot of people have had similar experiences of very rude behaviour from staff especially the male manager. Even a woman today got told she has to take off her boots to be able to enter the cafe. Not to mention a friend of mine left working their because again the male manager was confused to why she wouldn’t approach people immediately as they come in to take their order without even giving them a chance to do so and told her she would never have a carer in this industry because of that reason which is utterly ridiculous. We went to a cafe across the road instead and the staff were lovely and very accommodating. God forbid what they’d say to someone who uses a wheelchair! DO NOT GO TO THIS CAFE! Disgusting behaviour
