Popped in for a coffee and lush cake after walking in Dalby Forest. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Can sit in or outside. Dog friendly. Coffee was nice and had blueberry and banana cake which was lovely.

We’ve visited this spot a number of times now and it never disappoints. The food is very good, prices reasonable and the staff are really pleasant. It’s dog friendly too! Inevitably there’s a lot of activity around the adjacent bike hire shop, especially at weekends, but it’s not unduly intrusive when you’re enjoying the cafe’s outside seating. It’s much better than the cafe facilities at the nearby visitor centre!

Nestled within the lush embrace of the forest, the Courtyard Coffee Shop stands as a beacon of warmth and hospitality amidst the tranquil beauty of nature. As I wandered through the verdant pathways, the allure of this secluded haven beckoned me closer, promising respite and rejuvenation amidst the towering trees and rustling leaves. Stepping into the cozy confines of the coffee shop, I was greeted by the earthy aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the crisp scent of pine. The rustic charm of the interior, adorned with wooden furnishings and dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy above, instantly transported me to a world of serenity and peace. Eager to immerse myself in the delights of this hidden gem, I placed my order—a steaming cup of coffee and a Cornish pasty, a perfect union of comfort and sustenance amidst the wilderness. As I awaited my treats, I found myself entranced by the symphony of bird songs and gentle whispers of the wind, a harmonious backdrop to my woodland retreat. At last, my order arrived, and I eagerly savored each moment of indulgence. The coffee, brewed to perfection, offered a rich and robust flavor that danced upon my tongue, awakening my senses with every sip. Paired with the Cornish pasty, a savory delight encased in golden pastry, it was a feast fit for a weary traveler seeking solace amidst the wilderness. As I sat amidst the towering trees and dappled sunlight, enveloped in the embrace of nature's bounty, I couldn't help but marvel at the sheer beauty of the experience. The Courtyard Coffee Shop had not only provided me with delicious fare but had also served as a sanctuary amidst the wilderness, a place where the soul could find nourishment and renewal. In conclusion, the Courtyard Coffee Shop is a hidden gem nestled within the heart of the forest—a sanctuary of warmth and hospitality where coffee lovers and pastry enthusiasts alike can find solace amidst the beauty of nature. Whether seeking respite from the rigors of the journey or simply craving a moment of tranquility amidst the wilderness, this enchanting establishment promises an experience unlike any other.

This is a lovely, large cafe to rest in after a walk in the surrounding forest. Generally all the things we tried were very good- neither of us were sadly big fans of the locally roasted coffee (although their hot chocolate was great). The highlight for me (and a sign you are in a very rural area here) is that outside the cafe a family were sitting down for a drink- with their tiny pony next to them! Apparently it is something they do every weekend, so cool and certainly not something I've seen before.

Came for a breakfast and walk early Sunday morning looking forward to it and pleased to see dalby finally had a proper cafe for visitors and with good reviews. They have to upscale the breakfast make it more fancy with a bit of sprinkled herb on top. Homemade beans were lacking sauce and dry, nothing wrong with good old tinned baked beans. Bacon was cooked dry, sausages also dry let up was the still runny eggs at least. What let it down more than anything though was the noise and volume of people when you would like a calm Sunday breakfast. However i could have just landed at a bad timing. When I arrived for breakfast it was just me and another lady in but the music was so loud you would have had to shout to have a conversation if you gone with company. Then as waiting for breakfast the que to get in got so long it was out the door and across the courtyard. I ate breakfast so fast just to get out as quickly as possible and back to calm peace and quiet. I'm sure for someone going after an epic bike ride or day out with family this is a good place to finish and enjoy a warming coffee but for someone after a quiet dog walk and yummy breaky after this just didn't do it for me.

Lovely cafe with good food and pleasant staff. Far superior to the one in the visitor centre and just as easy to walk to from the car park. We had lunch here a few times after some walks and every meal was good.

We decided to have lunch when we visited Dalby forest and were so glad we did! The courtyard café was such a pleasant place to eat. The staff were extremely helpful with our requests. Me and my wife hot the warm beef ciabatta sandwich with side salad, slaw and crisps and it was delicious and very filling! Great coffee, excellent customer service. What more could you ask for? Price wise it wasnt too badly priced considering the location and we felt the food was worth the price.

We were here on a recent trip to the forest, and the selection is brilliant, we ate full breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. Speedy service with a smile, unlike the visitor center cafe over the carpark which we used in the past before the courtyard reopened recently. Fresh cakes and amazing coffee, there was even a couple indulging on a brilliant looking prosecco afternoon tea, which I thought was an awesome idea 💡 We will definitely be back next time we are at dalby.

Really welcoming staff/owners, fantastic selection of tray bakes and cakes, great coffee. The menu looks really good (didn’t sample this time as had some massive tasty brownie, but will be back). Really fantastic to have a great cafe to come back to after a run or ride in the wonderful Dalby Forest. Note this is the courtyard cafe not the one at the visitor centre, let’s just say there is a big difference.

Decent choice of food available however we ordered pie mash Mushy peas and gravy. Only had 1 pie (so got a pasty as there was 2 of us) Mash was made from a jacket potato it was very lumpy tinned peas over blasted in the microwave served with a smile however forgot the gravy and it arrived half way through us eating the meal. Sadly this place could be a little gold mine if run correctly and proper attention to detail applied with the food. We hafmd our lunch at 12.15 so there was no way they could have ran out of mash? Could do better really

Booked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,

A lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!

Really friendly and tasty fare. Plenty of choice which was a real representation of good Yorkshire fare. Reasonably priced too
