Country Crust in Ryedale

A small place but with a great amount of choice of food and drink. I always get the barbecue chicken and bacon panini because it’s extremely delicious. There’s a good amount of filling in the panini; it’s packed with barbecue flavoured chicken, bacon and cheese. I like the seating outside viewing the town.

We come to Pickering fairly regularly and always go to the country crust for our lunch good honest food served with a great friendly atmosphere. We sit in if possible and it really is like a community hub. Thanks for such lovely food and banter😁

The breakfast roll hit the spot and really good value. This 2 tea and toast for under a tenner. Happy days and to sit inside with our dog. Thank you

Average prices but way above average food. I am 73 and have lived in six different countries - this is by far the best takeaway I have ever tried.

Stopped for lunch. Amazing service and excellent food. Highly recommend. We went back the following day and it was exactly the same perfect.

The best little sandwich shop.... anywhere!!! The girls are so friendly and the food is amazing!! My personal favourites are salad boxes, hot roast pork sandwich and best of all.....a breakfast wrap..... you've just got to try it, trust me. ❤️

OMG, My wife and I had the day out in North Yorkshire and dropped in on pickering. We ambled down Pickering main street and ordered our food. Hot beef and onion sandwich for my wife, coronation chicken with salad for myself. These were the best tasting, and presented sandwiches we've had for a long time. We'll done and keep up the quality and service.

Treated like a misogynistic male. No banter hard as nails. Sandwich was superb great bread choice and hoping I might get eye contact and the smile next time 👋

Always been amazing for food, sausages & pork to die for! But this morning when my little boy just wanted a bit of everything, without even having to ask they made him up a box breakfast of anything he wanted in there Sausage, bacon, chicken, cheese cucumber & mayonnaise, I’ve never seen him so happy Nothing is too much of an ask for them here

I have been going to this lovely ultra friendly takeaway cafe (there are a few high chairs inside and plenty of tables outside) for a couple of years now when working on the NYMR and the service and the breakfast and lunch rolls are the best! Highly recommended

Came here for the Amazing Breakfast roll! 2 Sausage, 2 Bacon, mushrooms, tomato , fried egg on a lovely fresh bread roll. Excellent service from the ladies behind the counter, would definitely recommend a visit.

We were on a family visit to the village, I took breakfast from here every morning, the second day they already knew what I wanted, the service was nice. The English breakfast we ate here all three days was very delicious. I can only recommend everyone who goes there to try their food.

They're friendly to locals (people they know), otherwise anything pleasant seems impossible to them. This is common in Pickering. Horrible machine coffee for almost the same price as Costa. Ridiculous. No manners or social etiquette.

A perfect local food place, you could tell by the banter between the staff and some of the customers. I always try to find places like this when travelling. Fresh made chicken and bacon filling for my sandwich, which was wonderful.

Found this little cafe when looking for somewhere that would do a vegan lunch. They were very accommodating and the food was simple but tasty. Had a jacket potato with a side salad and some delicious hummus. My dad said his roast beef sandwich was delicious.

Great little shop for a bite to eat. Tried the roast pork and stuffing sandwich. Excellant food. Quick service. Priced senisble. Lots of other items on the menu. Baked potatoes seemed popular on the day. Would recommend definately. Small seating area outside as well.

Great food and great price. Staff are brilliant. Whenever we go on holiday in pickering we always drop in for coffee and cobs and if there is room use the seating outside to watch the world go by. Perfect!

We love this shop, the food and selection is amazing. When we are staying in Thornton we catch the bus through for breakfast most day. They really have a great little business here.

Best breakfast in a bun I have had for a long time, also had sausage & egg bun, the ham is proper ham not plastic rubbish and looked lovely 🍖 will use next time I am passing, p.s lady is great in there 😁

So pleased we stopped here. We had the chicken & bacon wrap, the hot beef,onion and horseradish roll and a beans/cheese jacket spud. All were delicious very reasonably priced, very polite and efficient service. Sorry, we have no photo's of the food, we were too busy enjoying it to think about photo's lol . 10/10.

Called into day for a lite bite. My husband had a cajun chicken bun with salad & I had a cheese, ham, onion & tomato panini. Portions were very generous. Drinks were piping hot. My husband said best sarnie he's had in a very long time.

Nice staff, and good quality ingredients, but gave us lashings of gravy with mayonnaise in a beef baguette which is just wrong. Does someone really need to specify mayo and gravy is a mashup too far?

Really friendly staff, we're very helpful and even brought the food out to us sat outside. The food was amazing the kids couldn't even eat all their paninis so saved them for later in the day (which they polished them off).

Low quality produce. Coffee shop straight from the 90s. If you want to eat the cheapest roll from Tesco for £3 this is the place. Poor coffee. Costa next door better quality same prices.
