Just completed forklift and first aid training for the Horticap staff. What a lovely well run place,everybody was so friendly. Looking forward already to coming back. AVW Training.

Lovely food and very friendly, helpful staff. Always welcoming. Lovely light cafe with plenty of space.

Smart, clean cafe with plent of car parking. We enjoyed the coffee. Jacket potato skins were rather tough and a member of staff could have been more polite when I commented about the cheese. Yes, mozarella is stretchy and fine melted but not when it is served like elastic.

The service is very poor. This is my fifth time in this place, the way the waitress spoken to me was extremely impolite and very abrupt as soon as I walked in , nit even sat down yet, one of the waitress spoke to me at the distance " Are you ok(unfriendly tone of voice) followed by if you are coming for food it's not going to be after 5 pm. Last time the waiter was sliding our food. We were very patient and tried to ignore, thinking that we came here to enjoy our dinner and meet up with our dear friends, sadly, it's very disappointing, besides. There was no menus given. The waitress are talking about the customers in a bad way while another customers were still in the restaurant.

Es una pena que este fabuloso pub restaurante esté cerrado. El mejor almuerzo del domingo en kilómetros en su día. No podría fallar, espero que se abra de nuevo pronto ☹️

So, the Square n Compass is our local. We always receive a warm welcome especially from Rachel..Melissa and James who seem to run the show. Had Sunday lunch it is our favourite place to have Sunday lunch. Personally i prefer my gravy on the side but always forget to ask. Monty our dog always happy to meet other pooches.
