I took my 90 year old mum in law to the bradeil retail outlet were the broadwalk cafe is situated. Unfortunately when accessing the retail outlet. Mum caught her foot in a loose anti slip strip on the disabled access ramp. This raised the loose board also tripping up myself. We were both on the floor. Staff and the manager got us up and the manager took us to have a seat in the boardwalk cafe. The owners gave us both a hot sweet tea. And as we had bruising they gave us ice packs in tea towels. A great gesture. After we had sat for about 40 mins we looked at there comprehensive menu and were surprised at the choice and value for money of the prices. In the end we plumped for the homemade Victoria sponge. It was very nice a decent sized slice at a good price. The boardwalk is a franchise within the bradeil wharf retail. And they went out of there way to help us so we will definately be back.

Fantastic place for coffee, breakfast, lunch or cake. Food is always great, as is the coffee, and the character of the building makes this a really nice place to while away the hours. Best of all though are the lovely, lovely staff who are so warm and welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to have got to know over the past 2 plus years. It's almost like my 2nd home as I spend so much time here. đ đ

I have not ONE bad thing to say about this place, it is our lunch spot of choice every Saturday. As a pub-loving vegan, and partner veggie, we find it hard to find interesting options to eat out, but this place has obviously put a lot of thought into their menu! They even have vegan chicken options in place of meat which I rarely see. And re the place itself, the staff are incredibly welcoming, attentive and friendly, even when the place is busy. They are also really helpful with any changes we ask for with our meals. It is incredibly dog-friendly, they've even brought over biscuits and water for us :) They are also very child/baby friendly which is important to note, having just had a HORRENDOUS experience at a different Kentish pub which claimed to be child-friendly (and evidently was far from it). The place is super cosy inside for winter, which is perfect for anyone who struggles with the sensory overload of brightness (đââď¸) and is decorated with loads of eccentric bits and bobs, we see something new every time. MASSIVE garden outside with HEATERS, which is truly such a gem for places these days. I honestly don't get some of these negative reviews, some people shouldn't eat out. People complaining about 'fatty cheese'?? Sorry, what? Saying the lasagne wasn't made fresh? Do they understand it takes hours to make a lasagne? (The veggie lasagne is actually so delicious too). And the pièce de rĂŠsistance for me, moaning that they can't be seated for food when the place is at full capacity for food...I am genuinely confused. Anyway, do yourself a service and go here.

I walked into this Waterfront Bar & Lounge early morning after a lovely zen walk along the seafront with my family. Then visited the cafe, then was greeted by a member of staff with a very unfriendly demeanour no morning greeting - I was greeted with a grumpy face and was told âwe are busy so you will have to wait! â So I walked out and went to COSTA - I like to support local business but not this occasion!

We have eaten here a few times now and beyond the first visit which was good the quality just hasnât been the same since. We ordered the chickpea curry which says itâs slow cooked, it wasnât, the chickpeas were hard and I could have made better myself, very disappointed as it run by Indians which you would expect a decent curry at least. Services was not great, nobody cleared the table or asked us how the meal actually was. Not big portions either. Shame as the location is nice and the venue is nice too but the food isnât worth the money
