Always excellent service, very very good food & drink at very reasonable prices (especially compared to nearby peddler ) .

I took my 90 year old mum in law to the bradeil retail outlet were the broadwalk cafe is situated. Unfortunately when accessing the retail outlet. Mum caught her foot in a loose anti slip strip on the disabled access ramp. This raised the loose board also tripping up myself. We were both on the floor. Staff and the manager got us up and the manager took us to have a seat in the boardwalk cafe. The owners gave us both a hot sweet tea. And as we had bruising they gave us ice packs in tea towels. A great gesture. After we had sat for about 40 mins we looked at there comprehensive menu and were surprised at the choice and value for money of the prices. In the end we plumped for the homemade Victoria sponge. It was very nice a decent sized slice at a good price. The boardwalk is a franchise within the bradeil wharf retail. And they went out of there way to help us so we will definately be back.

Firstly they don't take cash, at that point I should have walked out. Had to wait over 10 minutes for an espresso even though more people came in after me they still managed to get their drinks first. No eye contact poor customer service.

Firstly, the positives. Nice quirky venue. Excellent staff service. Food not exceptional but acceptable. Now for the constructive critique. Frozen yourkshire puddings. Why? Plates swimming with gravy. Why? The coldest pub, resteraun Ive ever been to. We all kept our coats on throughout the meal. Despite arriving at lunchtime, there was no steak, no beef and no seafood. Why? I would return for a drink and a snack but not only in the summer.

I walked into this Waterfront Bar & Lounge early morning after a lovely zen walk along the seafront with my family. Then visited the cafe, then was greeted by a member of staff with a very unfriendly demeanour no morning greeting - I was greeted with a grumpy face and was told “we are busy so you will have to wait! “ So I walked out and went to COSTA - I like to support local business but not this occasion!

We have eaten here a few times now and beyond the first visit which was good the quality just hasn’t been the same since. We ordered the chickpea curry which says it’s slow cooked, it wasn’t, the chickpeas were hard and I could have made better myself, very disappointed as it run by Indians which you would expect a decent curry at least. Services was not great, nobody cleared the table or asked us how the meal actually was. Not big portions either. Shame as the location is nice and the venue is nice too but the food isn’t worth the money
