Friendly pub with good atmosphere and a pool table !

I have been using the Pier a lot just lately and always receive a cheerie welcome from Phil the landlord and bar staff as they are very professional.Also the food is of a high standard and very varied in choose as my favourite is the fish&chips on Friday plus the Sunday roast with friends & neighbours.

Today I ordered a caesar salad online and I was shocked by how much it was smaller than in the store and the price was much higher. The price of this salad was 10.10 pounds, which was 2 pounds more than in the store. On top of that I paid £3.49 for delivery, £1.60 for service and £0.45 for a small order fee. When the order arrived, I was surprised to find that I had paid a total of £6 more for a portion of salad that was significantly smaller than what I usually get in the shop. It was hardly three leaves of lettuce! Worst of all, cutlery was not included. It just doesn't seem fair. Why should I order again under these conditions?

We had a big table for a birthday party. The service was very slow taking 45 mins to get a drink. Then we were bribed with a shot to give a 5* rating. This is unacceptable

We had to detour into Dartford to get a puncture fixed. With an hour or so to spare we wandered into the town to fins a cafe and luckily came upon The Coffee House. From the start the staff were exceptionally friendly. Service was fast and the coffees and hot chocolate were lovely. We then tried some of the home made milkshakes (one Oreo and one Caramel) they were amazing. The bill was lower than we imagined proving what great value the cafe is.

Myself and my boyfriend go to this cafe all the time on weekends. They never disappoint every-time we go, food is delicious, affordable and the family who runs it are lovely, down to earth and honest people. Will always be my favourite cafe. Thanks guys!

Went to watch the England v Switzerland match. Great service from bar staff 👏 👍 two tvs showing the match. Would use again

Well went for lunch specifically for the hibachi and was disappointed the chicken was sitting in sum kind milky liquid and smelled the steak look like scraps hella no cut jus slopped in. Went to use bathroom smelled of sewage all the way to the sushi bar guess the sewer pipe in bathroom was backing up they had the nerve to prop bathroom door open to smell crap in the dining area. The one in linden way better quality food and cuts of meat the staff was nice and sweet but the raw food by hibachi can’t be sanitary ecoli waiting to happen

First time i have been back since new decor, staff are wonderful, friendly and polite. However we only had a mains which took an age to appear, very well presented but unfortunately i left hungry. Take the S off the potatoes as i only got one.

Great food and place. Max the owner was warm, social, friendly and animated... not to be confused with leering or overstepping in my experience or opinion as another visitor stated. We enjoyed his company and will be back! Highly recommend and all the best to Max and the team.

One of the most friendliest restaurants which I regularly attend with family and friends. Really kind and polite staff who are very helpful. Definitely recommend for a roast dinner as well! I regularly take clients with disabilities for meals here and wheelchair access is brilliant and super easy!

Great Eggs Benedict and lovely tea and cake. I had Key Lime Pie, which was delicious. Comfortable seating and friendly staff.

Friendly staff providing the usual Costa food and drinks offerings. Plenty of comfortable seating both inside and out.

Was delayed on the M25 for 1 hour and just made the Eurostar train. Usually get to Ebbsfleet early so I can grab a coffee and was still able to as the service team were so on the ball I got a takeaway for the train, so I really appreciated the speedy and efficient service as well as a lovely Americano.
