Great food and FAB waitress. Debs is amazing - we are at the Spring Ricer and it’s always nice to see Debs as you know you’re gonna be looked after. Great service, friendly, always willing to chat and as how ya doing - never in a rush - Fantastic and a great credit to the Spring River

Lovely food, fabulous staff, big shout out to Debs! Reasonably priced. Menu changes a bit disappointing, the banoffee pudding didn’t taste of bananas!

Came with family for lunch, My buttermilk chicken strips and popcorn chicken was ok, nice lemonade, my gammon was nice but a tiny bit gristly, nice eggs and chips, i asked for no peas but they gave me them anyway, lush chocolate fudge cake with vegan ice cream, took 10 mins for drinks to arrive, took ages for puds to arrive but we still had a nice time and as long as the food and service remains good i will continue to return

After flying in from a week's skiing, we were able to secure a table at Spring River for dinner. We were pleasantly greeted by the manager, who took us to our table. Ethan was our waiter for the duration of our stay. This young man Ethan was polite, attentive, professional and very engaged in his job. He is an absolute asset to Spring River and deserves a big pat on the back!!

We recently had a family dinner at Spring River on a Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy but tables were quickly cleared and turned around and the service was excellent. 2 of our group of 8 had the carvery and the rest chose meals from the main menu. The wait for our food was not too long and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our server Debs was fantastic, despite the fact she was busy running around after a number of tables she checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble for her. We would not hesitate to return

My son is gluten free and I had heard how good the gluten free menu was. So for my birthday me and my 2 children (10 & 13) drove the 15 miles to the restaurant for a birthday meal. It was absolutely amazing for my son to be given a menu that he could choose anything from, and the choices were great. If it was for this alone then I would give 10 out of 10 - the food was also very good. However ..... I booked the table on line last night, confirmation email recieved nice and quickly stating that I had a booking for 3 people on the 17th Jan 5.15pm to 7.15pm. My complete mistake, I read that we could arrive between those times - not that it was a seating time slot. So arrived approx 5.45, to be met be a server who told me that my time was at 5.15 and this was a slot session and not arrival time. I felt a little embarrassed by my mistake, apologised and we got taken to our table. I sorted us at the table, then took my daughter straight to the bathroom to come across our server mocking, bad mouthing, ridiculing me to his collegue near the bar and in front of other customers re the slot misundertanding. I was so embarrased and humilated. Safe to say that I ordered a main meal for the 3 of us, paid and left - and we were out the restaurant by 6.45 (well before our slot time finished). I am so angry that a nice birthday meal out, was ruined by an employee bad mouthing a customer. Please remind staff that if they need to complain, ridicule, tease, insult a paying customer that maybe do it in the staff room and not in a full restaurant where all other customers can hear.

Friendly staff. Very fast service (food woven in about 15 minutes!). Both I and my husband had steak which was very nice and cooked perfectly to our request (medium and medium rare). My son had the carvery with very generous serving of meat. Another son had a burger that he loved. We will definitely come back!

First time of visiting this restaurant and found it to be clean and tidy with pleasant helpful staff. I had leek and potato soup for a starter wasn't the hottest but nice and tasty, for the main course I had the carvery which was nice although I wouldn't have the brussels again because they were overcooked and spoilt, I love brussels normally. One thing I noticed was the gravy station was to me in a strange place, it was away from the carvery so depending on which area you were seated you wouldn't automatically see it once you had your plateful of food, this said though I would recommend The Spring River because it was reasonably priced and within pleasant surroundings.

The Carvery used to be the envy of Kent, but they've massively dropped the ball these days. The waiting staff are helpful, friendly, but you need to chase them to know when to go to the hot plate. Its now table service and you will get a ticket and told to wait for your turn to go up. They then get over run with people and you are sat waiting and waiting.. So for people that like a decent bit of meat with the carvery, you are about to be incredibly disappointed. You get 100g of meat, yes 100g. I never knew how much that looked like until yesterday. When asked, 'IS THAT IT'.. two grizzly, totally rude ladies serving scowled.. 'YES, 100g is your lot'!! The clue is in the title, 'ROAST DINNER' .. the Roast part is usually aimed at the meat part of the dish.. so people going for a ROAST, might be paying close attention to this.. The old Spring River used to have small, medium and large plates, these days have truly long gone. For anyone in the area, basically have this as a last chance option if you cant get in anywhere else

Bar man was miserable, looked like he didnt want to be there. Poor service for drinks that are so over priced. Pigs in blankets looked like they were boiled.

Food was cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly. Selection on menus were great. My mother in law ate hers without a moan which is a miracle as she complains about everything. Loved everything about spring river and will now become our choice of eating out venue

Our 2nd visit eating my favourite prawn salad which is delicious and packed full of flavour. Our waitress Deb was cheerful, very accommodating and helpful. Thank you for looking after us!

A dump. Surly staff without an ounce of manners. Apparently a new pub is due to open on Ebbsfleet, hopefully it will nor be the same crowd. Service skills zero.

The staff were very nice but the food was so bland and meh! I had the regular carvery and the only difference from girls friend's small plate was half an extra bit of the driest flavourless boiled beef. Horseradish was sickly. I have to say this is the worse carvery I've ever had .. and I've eaten at tobys

Visited recently and had a lovely experience. Food was tasty and excellent value for money. Service provided was outstanding, especially by our server, Ellie, who not only went out of her way to give us the best experience possible but had us laughing in our seats the entire time. Would highly recommend and planning to return as soon as possible.

Was passing through Ebbsfleet and popped in on the off chance just for a light bite. We ended up being served by a Lady called Ellie who was really friendly and helpful, making menu recommendations for us (which tasted great), we’ll be back.

Thank you to Chantel who looked after us this evening on the 3rd October. we were a family of 10 who came out to celebrate an 80th birthday. Chantel was lovely and polite and always checked that our food was okay and if we needed anymore drinks. She was so patient and helpful when it came to catering for a vegetarian who wanted to change a lot of things within a dish. We had a lovely evening 🙂 Only thing I would say, is that when the 4 of us went up to get the carvery at around 8:15pm there was nothing left. Carrots had gone, stuffing was very hard and dry on the outside as well as there being no meat left which is the whole point in a carvery, pretty much just the scraps was left. The counter was that empty that as soon as we walked away, they turned off all the lights at the carvery section before we had gone back to the table. The restaurant doesn't close until 11pm, and we were getting the scraps of it 3 hours before that. If it shuts that early, then surely there should be a sign up on entry on the closing times because if we knew how little was left, we wouldn't of ordered it but this isn't our servers fault at all, its purely down to the kitchen and management - so just have a look at what's left before ordering and maybe go earlier in the day when its nice and fresh, not when its been sat around for a while like how we experienced it. My experience at Spring River was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I engaged with their service, I was met with prompt, professional, and personalised attention. The drinks are of superior quality. Will be back again.

Lovely choice of breakfast, good quality and good value for money, friendly staff especially Ellie the manager who is so fun and welcoming. She seems to know all of the customers, great customer service.

Visited today for dinner with my partner and children, was greeted by a lovely young lady called Chantel who ended up being our server. She couldn’t have been more helpful with our questions, and spoke directly to my children which I thought was lovely. Food was great and served very quickly along with the drinks.
