We needed somewhere before hopping on a tram (just across the road). There was obviously a pub and a supermarket within a few metres doing food, but Kings looked like the real deal - a proper cafe! Nice and busy too which is always a good sign - and the customers were obviously locals / regulars as the staff called them by name. We were bowled over by the size and quality of the breakfasts - freshly cooked on the griddle in plain sight which is (also!) a good sign. Top notch. Nice people too. Recommended.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat while visiting the retail park,Visited many subways before and have to say this one is very clean and the staff are very friendly, nothing too much trouble while we are far too indecisive in ordering. Photo is of a half eaten sandwich as I forgot to take prior - very tasty and will return next time we are in the area.

The food here is absolutely excellent. I visited here for the first time one evening for a meal with a friend and was so impressed that we went back the next day for lunch. The service is also friendly and attentive. A great atmosphere and reasonably priced for such good quality food

Ordered beef Sunday dinner today everything was warm- cold. Not one member of staff asked if it was ok. Tbh I couldn’t be bothered complaining beef was very fatty and needed sharper knives to cut through it. Mashed potato was stone cold. Asked for well done roast potatoes defo ain’t Bessie’s. Also cauliflower cheese was raw cauliflower with cheese sauce poured over. Generally drinks nice food 4/10. I’ve always rated this restaurant but seems to be going down hill now sorry! Really disappointed considering this was my late Mother’s Day meal as I was away last week

I recently visited The Lamb Hotel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience deserving of five stars! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent customer service that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the recent renovations have truly transformed the space, blending modern touches with its classic charm. The beer garden is a standout feature—it’s beautifully landscaped and perfect for relaxing with friends. The drinks were top-notch, with a great selection of cask ales, lagers, and spirits, all served to perfection. Overall, The Lamb Hotel combines amazing service, a lively yet cozy vibe, and stunning updates that make it a must-visit spot. I can’t wait to return!

It’s nothing special, but if you’re looking for a cheap local pub. It’ll do.

I’d heard a lot about the concept but wasn’t exactly sure how it worked - simples, really, loads of booze and something to eat! The place was empty when we arrived and never got full, so slightly soulless but the decor was pretty good. Bizarrely when the next customers arrived, the server tried to put them on the table next to us. The food was tasty - not particularly massive, but good. We were asked on a regular basis if we wanted more drinks - and there was a good variety available. Recommended.

The Oddfellows Arms is reasonable welcoming Bar...compared to the 5 others in Eccles Centre. Now I prefer entertaing at home...sometimes in Bars the loud voices when drinkers have had a few..can be annoying. JOHN PARKINSON (71) former journalist on Radio.

Permanently closed! or at least until it's repurposed for something else. Used to be a good pub, but appears to be the latest casualty in the never ending list of British pub closures. Very sad.
