A great little Cafe Bar in Eccles Manchester next to Eccles Train Station selling a fine selection of Beers , wines and spirits . They also have a great selection of food and Teas and Coffee. A lovely friendly atmosphere as you walk though the door. Well worth a visit .

Wonderful love music night with some talented people

What a great little place! They have a great selection for a quick bite to eat and excellent coffees or an alcoholic something if you fancy! It’s a very inclusive place with all sorts of people coming in as its very close to the train station. There are books and games to use whilst you’re there and you can sit quietly by yourself or join in with the regulars and the staff who were more then happy to indulge in a joke and a bit of conversation. There was a lovely little family who came in and had a quick game of darts whilst they were waiting for their train. The food is simple but very tasty, I had loaded fries whilst I was there which had sausage and bacon all topped with sauces and an iced and hot coffee (I spent much longer there then originally anticipated!). There is a real sense of community here and I must give a shout out to the girl on the bar, Toni. She told me about all of the events on at the Malaga and what was good to see around the town. Eccles really has a gem of a place here, something that’s sadly missing from a lot of towns these days.

Málaga drift is now under new management and they've had a brilliant refit. The place looks modern and spacious. The bar being at the opposite side of the room makes the place look bigger! The place still has Amazing coffee and cake but the beer, spirit and wine selection is so much better now and the prices are reasonable. They are event focused so follow their Facebook for more information about what's going on. I love the bookcase and boardgame corner. The food menu is alot bigger now and offer a variety of things so now there's plenty to choice from! Small outside seating area and the bullring downstairs is still being used for small private events. 10/10 would recommend!

My son and his hubby and myself and my hubby have just had the best night we've had for a long time in this bar. We stumbled across it having eaten in the Chinese restruant opposite. It was so friendly .Karaoke...no judgement....normal people drinking reasonably priced drinks....lovely Spanisb white wine and beer and my husband was on Gin...also good price..It was as friendly as being in someone's living room. They reach out to the local.community also from what I heard. It's a bar that you enter as strangers and leave as friends. We certainly will go again ASAP.. thanks for a great evening..

Have been in over the years and always been made to feel extremely uncomfortable! The owner has always made me my friends and my son extremely unwelcome. I’m a local and spend money but always been made to feel like we are a nuisance. Wouldn’t recommend and will never return!

Whenever I visit Eccles, this cafe is my go-to spot for a coffee. It exudes a lovely, cozy atmosphere that's hard to resist. What's even better is that it's dog-friendly, making it a welcoming place for all. I've heard about their game nights and chess evenings, and they're definitely on my list to attend. This cafe is a hidden gem that never disappoints

Loved it, family run business that caters for all ages, fun for the kids, lots of board games for them to play. I go there often with my daughter and her children.

I was looking for a cafe in the Eccles area and came across Malaga. The atmosphere was welcoming and the host was very nice. I ordered a large latte and it was at a very affordable price, compared to what you get at places like Starbucks or Costa. I really enjoyed the latte and would definitely return if close by again.

Wonderful coffee, comfortable and inviting surroundings and friendly staff. I could tell that many customers were regulars even though it was my first visit. Lots of board games, which I see from other reviews is a Thing here. I'll definitely be coming back.

There is a great, informal chess club here every Wednesday evening starting at 7.00 pm. You can borrow and donate books here too. Serves hot food. Always a friendly place with a warm welcome. Great public transport links as well. Just a few steps away from Eccles train station.

Lovely little place that I've never visited before today but it definitely won't be my last time. The coffee was absolutely gorgeous and the food was delicious. My grandson ate his first piece of toast here and loved it!

Best Coffee Bar In Manchester By Far. Family Rum.

I often go here on a Wednesday for regular chess club. Very good value pizza. Beer range not great on cask but some good 'Coachouse' from Warrington ,bottled offerings. I had 'Gunpowder mild. Big Eccles cakes to buy. This place is CHEAP and (very) CHEERFUL.

Been a few times. So relaxing. Gordon is lovely. They never rush you neither. Can stay as long as you want. Playing board games to with family are the best.

It's so relaxing and you can sit in as long as you want. I work in there sometimes as it's a nice and cheerful place to be in. Bacon butties and Sausage butties are to die for. Not great for the old waistline though. Owner is very friendly also.

It's a family owned place with some some lovely coffee. Furthermore if you want a place with little more there are some bourd games in the back and if you like the very popular card game of magic( it's a nerdy game) overall would recommend

Thankfully owner Gordon and the Malaga Drift have survived Lockdown. I come here often to play chess and usually have a Hot chocolate and a pizza of some sort. Sometimes a cake but always good value. Eccles chess club meet here on a Wednesday, all levels of player will get a game, Secretary, Barbara, makes sure of that! A very homely place, good value. In Italy it would be a tratoria.

Amazingly friendly staff and clientele. Great range of drinks and I've not had the food yet but it was tempting so I'm sure I will. Looking forward to coming back.

They have the best coffee love going here with a friend although not often enough the owner is great to have a chat to while making the coffee i do recommend for a afternoon they also do pizzas and cakes best brownies also parties not just a coffee house sofas to get comfy on see you again soon guys. 😁🍕🍰☕

The Malaga drift is truly a community café with a heart! It's my go to café, bar, open mic venue because I feel at home there. Gordon and Jane put the heart and soul in to making the Malaga a place to be proud of and which welcomes everyone (as long as respect for others is something you believe in). It's a great 2nd Office too! Highly recommended for a great atmosphere and friendliness.

At first glance Malaga Drift looks nothing special. Italics be all too easy to walk by and perhaps go to a "prettier" place. This would be a HUGE mistake as it is a real delight. Where to begin, well it was a place that I had been meaning to try for ages, having heard decent reports of it but never seemed to get round to it, (I don't know about you, but I always have a list of places I keep meaning to try but never quite get to). Anyway, we switched our WI committee meetings to Malaga Drift so I had to go (top tip: if you are a women aged over 18 join the WI -it will do wonders for your social life!) I had no idea what to expect, what I found was totally unexpected. A comfortable, bright and welcoming place. There are tables and chairs as well as comfy soafs. Gordon, the owner is a delight, always friendly and very helpful. They offer breakfasts, a full range of coffees and hot drinks (I can recommend the hot chocolate) as well as cakes and pizzas. They are fully licensed and have a good selection to choose from. I like the cider from here. But let's face it, you can get most of that from a lot of places, what makes it so fabulous? I love the vibe of the place, the clientele are a real mix, all friendly and it is so much more than a cafe bar. Live music plays a big part, with an open Mic night every Thursdy, a blues night once a month and also a folk and spoken word night, also once a month. There are games nights and a lot of boxed board games available for customer use, at all times, papers to read and no hassle from anyone. It is simply a safe and comfortable space. For quite a long time (pre internet) I had to travel to different areas alone for work. Since then, I have got into the the habit of judging whether or not a venue would be suitable place for a solo female (sometimes it would have been nice to leave the hotel), I have no hesitation in saying Malaga Drift is suitable in every way. So, the next time you see a unremarkable looking building, don't just pass it by, you never know what you might be missing!

What a gem! Breakfast, drinks, food, with vegetarian and vegan options, board games, internet access and live music nights! Very friendly staff, too.

Me and my girlfriend recently discovered this amazing place. The staff are lovely, so are all the other patrons we have met. Especially everyone in the Tuesday night for role-playing and magic the gathering night. Quickly becoming our favourite haunt. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

A charming establishment situated immediately outside Eccles train station. With a light, bright and breezy feel, expect Folk and Open Mic nights throughout the month - and all with prices on their beverages and food that can't be beat! A pint of Shindigger or Hop House will only come to £3.80 - stunning considering the circumstances!

Excellent service, all staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The games night is excellent fun and I can't wait to see what it becomes. Has great food, modest drink prices for absolutely any beverage you could imagine. This establishment also has lovely little cinema in the basement, with a full set up for live music. Will and would always recommend this little diamond hidden in Eccles for its geat atmosphere, welcoming homely tough and bargain for money. 10/1₩
