Great little community pub so friendly

Discreet position at the back of hope street and community owned did provide encouragement of something different and it didn't disappoint ....relaxed friendly with good beer and a nice beer garden to boot

A real traditional pub with lovely staff and the selection of drinks is far better than most chain pubs. With more than 160 years of history it's one of my favourite places for a drink.

very small place.. even the cab driver hadn't heard of the place.. OK to drink... has a dartboard and pool table and drink prices ok.

Cracking little boozer, well worth the slight detour off the main road. After going to see Rotherham in a friendly at the Pemnsula, it was the perfect post match stop off before the bus. Great beer and great staff. Definitely a "friendly"

There is no way I can not give this place 5 stars considering I'm a shareholder. The best, most friendly pub in Salford, top locals, great music nights...folk or otherwise. Beers are always well kept, selection could be improved considering the number of microbreweries with a 5 mile radius (committee take note) but that is an inconsequential gripe.

Great service to our fans, venue was a bit small for us and the Jewish community didn't like us being there.

Decent little pub off the beaten track was expecting it to be busy seeing as it was a match day. If your an away fan driving park up have a pint then walk to the ground.

Great bar, brilliant atmosphere

Having driven 19 miles thanks to Google saying pub was open and busier than usual I arrived to find it shut and no sign of opening soon. Glasses etc from previous session still on the outside tables. Might be an idea to update your opening times on Google, just a suggestion. One day I'll try again.

There's a Star inn. Down there on the right. They're serving juicy pints and it's absolutely dynamite. Seriously though this place is very good. The other reviews don't lie. Thanks very much for welcoming in a big group with such grace and class. You made our trip.

Found this pub today after not getting into see Salford fc play as it was full. Great pub never would’ve known it was there hidden away

Hard to find but well worth the effort. Lots of events on. Folk night on Wednesdays from 9pm. Cask ales, Sky sports, snooker room, good music and a pint of blackcurrant and soda for 40p.

Exactly what a pub should be, good beer, great prices, really nice location. I only wish there were more of these in Manchester

Well priced beer, very friendly atmosphere. Got talking to everyone we met, cooked food was brought out after the footie and everyone invited to help themselves! Screens for the game, and good craic from the punters, will definitely come back.

Just moved to the area and read some nice reviews about this cozy pub on Google Maps and was surprised to see no reviews here. A good old fashioned local with a small beer garden. No food, just a good neighbourhood watering hole. It was ladies darts night when I popped in, lots of laughs & banter!

Potentially funsie - and cheap! - spot somewhat spoiled by the customers. Of a Sunday afternoon... What seems to be a local tramp staring (and I mean Staring) at my girlfriend, and a group of charmers philosophising on whether said individual could be set fire to having poured petrol on him. Hmmmmm.

Didn't realise pubs like this still exsisted, comunity owned, freindly and welcoming with a good choice of fine real ales, I love this place.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the pub They have got a wide range of beers lagers ciders and other drinks like coke lemonade. It is worth the visit
