Kings Cafe Eccles in Salford

We needed somewhere before hopping on a tram (just across the road). There was obviously a pub and a supermarket within a few metres doing food, but Kings looked like the real deal - a proper cafe! Nice and busy too which is always a good sign - and the customers were obviously locals / regulars as the staff called them by name. We were bowled over by the size and quality of the breakfasts - freshly cooked on the griddle in plain sight which is (also!) a good sign. Top notch. Nice people too. Recommended.

Stunning little cafe is like a little oasis In Eccles Facing the Metrolink Team stop. I had the Full English Breakfast with a side of Mushrooms all freshly cooked whilst you wait . With the Full English the tea and toast are included and the price is fantastic and you get plenty of food one of the best Full English Breakfast i have ever had. The owner and staff are so friendly it was as though they had known me for years . I highly recommend the fantastic friendly Cafe .

In and out in within 20 minutes this was a great value well cooked small English breakfast for £5.50 including tea. The tea was a bit weak - I like my tea strong with plenty of milk - really it needed a few more goes with the spoon and teabag - not possible as teabag had been fished out and no spoon ah well. On the plus side it’d been sweetened as requested with a level one. Maybe it’s a test for new customers, if I was a regular I would get a proper brew. Metro newspapers to read if you wanted one. The staff were friendly enough and are on first name terms with their regulars. You may find it hard to find a table as it’s on the cosy side. It’d have ideal if the table had not just had the cups and plates removed but also wiped off the previous diner’s bean juice / ketchup spill and breadcrumbs as well - I managed to wipe it down myself with some hand steriliser and a tissue, no fuss, no problem. I gave a place in London Euston 5 stars for an £11 brekkie, at £5.50 this was half the price but it’s not a like for like comparison. I didn’t have to clean the table for a start and Eccles (definitely) is not Central London. I’d visit this place again, as well as recommending it to anyone who wants a proper English breakfast close to the Old Trafford MUFC and the Trafford Centre. Fantastic little cafe with a lovely owner , i had a gorgeous Full English with Tea and it was only £6.30 all cooked fresh as you order it with top quality ingedients. I highly recommend a visit to this little oasis in Eccles just across from the Metrolink stop.

Dirty and small sitting area, very smelly place, the food quality was very bad , I don't know how hygiene of Salford let the businesses like this still stays open, this place have to goes shut down.

Popped down to Eccles with the intention of getting breakfast from wetherspoons pretty much next door. Decided to go for a little walk down the road, looked in the window and saw this place was packed with customers. Decided to give it a go. The staff were lovely and friendly. They knew all their patron customers. The food was freshly cooked. The rest of the customers knew each other. It was a really friendly vibe. Only had a breakfast bap this time, but will be coming back for a full English!

The workers are so polite! I have one day a week where I’m of work and I always come here for a breakfast they cook it just the way I like it. Highly recommend

Came in after finding staff at nearby Morrisons cafe rude and unhelpful with gluten free options so tried this cafe for 1st time and wont b last time, ok couldnt have sausages or the toast but had everything else in a friendly little community cafe.prices cheap.

I had to go to Eccles to pay the subsidy on my bus pass today. Arriving the transport shop lady was on her dinner. Not wanting to go and come back I hunted for a brew. I found Kings Cafe facing the tram stop. The three egg omelette advert caught my eye and being weight conscious I went in and ordered the ham omelette. A mug of tea you could dive into made a satisfying dinner. A sit down, paper out,crossword attempted the mug of tea arrived followed by the omelette. This little cafe may not be the place to go to eat nouvelle cuisine but if you want to eat surrounded by friendly people serving honest to goodness grub at a very fair price give this little cafe a try.

Right next to the tram stop, Very clean ,Staff pleasant (my 3rd visit) Nice atmosphere, and perfect service :-)

I am Spanish myself and I have enjoyed every breakfast here, true English; the best place around the area. Inexpensive and lovely people working there.

Had one of the best bacon butties in this charming little cafe. Reminded me of some of the old school greasy spoons we had down south.

Great little cafe, really clean and the staff are attentive and make sure your happy even when they were really busy. Freshest barm cakes for the butties and really generous full breakfast. If you want a nice breakfast not a greasy offering, come here.

Small cafe I got a good portion on my breakfast bap. They are obviously not shy on portion size as you can get the biggest breakfasts that I've ever seen there and the ladies are lovely. Very pleased

Breakfast here is great. comes in different sizes, from a small breakfast to a huge breakfast for £10. 4 sausage, 4 eggs, 4 bacon, 4 toasts, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, 4 slices blackpudding, and a drink. The food is quick and fast to arrive. The cafe is small and can be crammed. It's right next to the tram and bus station.
