Went in today and got chip butty with cheese...can safely say I won't be going back, the lad I went with got burger and chips with a can of pop. Instantly found a hair in his chips and then opened his can to find another hair stuck to the side of it. How this has good reviews I don't know!

A gem. We stumbled across this café and couldn't have been happier with our food and service. Will definitely be back. Beautiful walks nearby along the river and saw Roman wall. You won't be disappointed.

The Tannery in Hexham has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it's the perfect place to take your family. My kids loved it there. The staff were super friendly, and the food was delicious. The landlord was especially kind to my son – he made him a special meal that wasn't even on the menu! We had a lovely time and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area. We have been going to Olivers Wyong Northbound for many years but on this occasion it was disappointing to say the least. Why they chose to relocate in the old McDonals site was a bad decision. We used to have a meal in the previous building but due to the congestion and very much reduced choices we just bought a sandwich and had it in the car. Prices seem excessive for the poorer quality sandwiches. The quality of this was disappointing and service very unfriendly. The toilets were disgusting and unclean. The previous location was spacious and a pleasure to relax over a nice meal while travelling. Not so anymore. Olivers still has the photos of the previous location which is misrepresentation and should not be permitted. As such, we will never go to Olivers again.
