The best restaurants in Portstewart Coleraine North Eastern NI

Had a fab meal at this restaurant. Was fairly quiet so was bit concerned as other places all booked out but had no cause for concern once we got our food. Quite a meaty menu but found something for everyone. We had a table of ten and the service was brilliant. Staff all really friendly and obliging. Couldn’t do enough for us. Food was brilliant, I had steak, so tasty and cooked to perfection, hubby had the stack and loved it, best main meal out for a long time and that’s saying something when we live in south belfast. Great value and service, tasty cocktails will def book here again. Only thing, maybe expand the dessert menu pls.

Fantastic little bakery that's been there for years. Great range of products too. Recommended.

Joined a long queue outside premises for hot food and only discovered when we got to the top of it that they were serving ice cream only after 6. Other families turned away also. Be a much better idea to have a sign outside to explain.

Very good food for reasonable prices

Ordered a breakfast, and after 40 mins she took my order again and got me 4 pieces toast. 20 mins later I left because nothing more was coming, and they were not busy.

Disappointing Stay at Me & Mrs Jones – Poor Service and Billing Issues I stayed at Me & Mrs Jones in Portstewart, Ireland from May 7th to May 13th, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a boutique hotel. From the moment we checked in, the service was lacking. The receptionist, Molly, offered no information about the hotel’s policies — no mention of breakfast times, housekeeping procedures, or even any tourist recommendations. It felt like basic hospitality was completely missing. More concerning were the issues with cleanliness and billing. Our bathroom had clearly not been cleaned prior to arrival — dirty toilet paper and visible urine marks were left on the toilet. Towels were also placed on the dirty hallway carpet outside our room, which was both unsanitary and unprofessional. To make matters worse, we were fraudulently charged for restaurant services we never used. Despite multiple attempts to contact the manager for an explanation or refund, we received no response. There was a clear lack of accountability and oversight from management throughout our stay. It’s evident that the hotel is under new management, but unfortunately, the current leadership seems disengaged and inattentive to both guest experience and operational standards. I would not recommend Me & Mrs Jones at this time. There are far better options in Portstewart where cleanliness, transparency, and basic hospitality are taken seriously

Lovely little cafe with plenty of choice

Absolutely loved my visit here on a busy nice warm sunny day. That didn't hold the staff back in making our toasties in any way. Within minutes of ordering we had our delicious toasties on the table. We both had chilli chicken and cheese toastie. Chai latte and a tea. If I were to be super critical my chai latte wasnt just as sweet as Id normally have it however it was really good. Quite refreshing actually. And the correct temperature. Recommend! Lovely atmosphere. Fast friendly. Delicious food. Yes yes yes.

The best pizza I've ever eaten and I'm a pizza snob ! Young friendly staff who keep the place spotless. The fact that you can BYO for a very reasonable corkage fee makes for a cheap and cheerful evening out. The atmosphere is good but I'm just surprised that the place is not bursting at the seams with customers as the pizza and service is much better than other popular pizza restaurants in the area. Love this place ❤️

For us, this is the best restaurant in the area. Friendly, well-trained staff, and a beautiful ambiance with a view of the ocean. We ate pizza, pasta, and meat dishes and were thrilled! Very good quality, generous portions; we were completely satisfied! The prices are a bit higher, but otherwise we would come here more often.

Great bar for a quick bar meal. If I could give 6 stars for the service I would. Lovely pint of Guinness and food hearty and tasty £16 for a Steak and Guinness pie is also great value. Give it a go.

My wife and I came here on Wednesday for a bite to eat and we got to say this place is stunning. We were seated at our table straight away which was amazing The waitresses were very friendly and the meals were unreal. Highly recommended! We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent food and service in a picturesque setting.

Ordered a small fry and a large fry..the hash browns are small balls of potato..the yolk in the fried eggs were hard(disappointing). The rest of the fry was OK.. the price for this and 2 teas was £24..too expensive for what we received....iv had their coffee which is lovely, but won't go back for breakfast.
