I got a fab raspberry scone and an awful cappuccino - i did specifically asked for not boiling milch - as cappuccino is not supposed to have scorching hot milch and of course I burnt my tongue. Instead of making it again they just poured an extra milch. Stuff needs at least a bit of training in coffee making - PLEASE.

Food has gone downhill sausage rolls are half the size they used to be and more expensive they run out of babs and ham all the time and no black pepper for your sandwiches just white pepper I was looking food from the delli at 145 pm and the girl looked at the clock and then looked at me and said your a bit late but I will serve anyway ..

Handy little bakery with decent parking nearby.

One of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to, the range of products is superb and delicious. Freshly made on site - we couldn’t get enough of the savouries and cakes. Well worth a visit

Three small sausage rolls and a chicken salad roll was £9.25. Even accepting that the venue is a home bakery the value is poor when compared to eg Marks and Spencer where 12 small sausage rolls can be bought for £3.00 and I’m sure a chicken salad a roll would cost no more than £3.00. The food was of good quality but the pricing needs to be reviewed.

Always service with a smile, fresh rolls, filled to order are a staple now for a day on the Strand. No better place to get them. Siobhan is particularly helpful & so pleasant. Highly recommended.

Went in not knowing what kind of sandwich to get. Siobhan was very accommodating. Sandwich was tailored to me because of the thoughtfulness of Siobhan and how she would like a sandwich. Would highly recommend. Great service and attention to detail. The food was excellent.

The Griddle Bakery has been going strong for many years and it's no surprise. The fresh baked bread, scones, pancakes, buns etc...are fabulous, but Friday is treat day and their hot food and sandwiches are a must. Everything from Paninis, stew, soup to filled baps and salads....all soooooo yummy.

Not only the best wheatens and scones on the North coast but absolutely stellar customer service as well. The kindness shown by the staff in The Griddle Bakery in lockdown really raised our spirits. Quite simply a lovely place and we can't wait to be able to visit again.

I just love the fresh food rolls yet everything made here is, in fact, brilliant! Especially favoured by the locals and that really tells you everything you need to know!...The prices are right and many school children buy their lunches here...Again, the fact that local school children buy lunches tells you that you will always get value for money at The Griddle Bakery...Kindness and Courtesy by Staff...Always...👍

Their wheaten bread is absolutely delicious, good selection of other things too.

It is worth getting up early to get the big triangle of brown bread . Hard to beat it . If you leave it too late it will al be sold out

Use this bakery on a regular basis. . . Their carrot cake is to die for a real hate to try ! Scones are fresh and tasty and their bread is lovely . . . Lunch time sandwiches and roll prepared to order !

My brother and I had two teas and two scones here and it costs us £8-20p. I think it is over priced but the scones were fresh. There is one woman working there and she has a very bad personality.

This was my first visit to the Griddle Bakery and I did not realise I could also have lunch there. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Siobhan took our order and I found her very friendly and efficient. The food was soon brought to the table and as you can see from the photo, I was delighted with my choice, I also had a pot of tea, which Siobhan offered to replenish with hot water. I will definitely call in again soon and tell other people about it. I was on a weekend break and it's lovely to have found a place for lunch. The name, Griddle Bakery reminds me of the Seamus Heaney poem, Sunlight: There was a sunlit absence/The helmeted pump in the yard/heated its iron/water honeyed/in the slung bucket/and the sun stood/like a griddle cooling/against the wall/of each long afternoon.

Always enjoy trying new places and spreading my business around so I popped into the griddle for a quick lunch. Francis was the lady who took my order. I noticed a prawn open sandwich and politely requested. We’ve no prawns today I was told.. and I mean told! So I then switched to a chicken bap with a little side salad.. “tea or coffee” Francis asked with some degree of frustration in her voice. I said coffee please... which type Francis kind of barked and gave me a sort of dirty look! Oh . I would like cappuccino please. Sitting in or take out... take out I replied as I’m sitting outside . Cross lady today but I’m sure it’s better other days . Food was nice and sunshine outside made up for lack of same in the shop. Only a three today as I was made to feel as if I had done something wrong by asking for a prawn open sandwich on the day they had no prawns . Keep smiling folks as the passing customer pays the bills 😃😃😃

Lovely breakfast, pleasant service. This is also a bakery selling wheaten bread to die for - don't pass on it - very worth while.

Several days we purchase salad bowls, everything is freshly baked daily, the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit

Pick up a few sausage rolls cakes and pasties on your way back to the house or caravan....nice. Sit in too, for a coffee and a nice bun...or two!

A little hidden gem that we frequent when up in the area. Good cheap food - cornish pasties, pizza on soda bread (if you're not from Northern Ireland, don't ask), sandwiches, soup, lots of lovely buns and good tea and coffee. Small sit in area. On a side street off the west side of Portstewart main street, opposite Dominican.

The bread is beautiful especially the steamed wheaten and the scones.

We had breakfast here today. Friendly service, nice food, good value for money, and they accommodated the children well. There were a steady stream of people coming in to buy goods from the bakery. Would return again.

Stopped here on the way to the beach. Got sausage rolls, filled soda and drinks. Really clean, friendly staff and food was fab. Also do sit in and the fry up looks great. Really reasonably priced and full of locals. Worth a try!

This establishment was recommended to us by local friends. We were skeptical by the outside that makes it look like a chain of bakeries, but inside the baked goods were delicious. We bought a few different types of scones and we were not disappointed with any.

Was at the North West 200 for the week and decided not to live on fast food. My wife and i loved the wraps and we never saw so much food placed into one so if you are in Portstewart this place is a must. My son and I also had food there a couple of years ago and it was amazing then as well but at that stage i did not know about this site to air my recommendations.

We would use this bakery often for lunches. Serves up great food and buns are amazing. Would really recommend if you are stuck for ideas for lunches.

Had a chili chicken and cheese panini from here, was probably one of the best ive ever had. I also discovered that i now love coleslaw.

The best wheaten bread on the north coast and probably in northern Ireland a very nice coffee shop and deli. Beautiful cakes and pastry. Very friendly staff. A credit to Portstewart.

A good traditional bakery offering fresh bread, scones and pastries. They also cater for breakfast frys and sandwiches as take away or sit-in. My kids love the breakfast particularly.

Me encanta este lugar! La comida es muy buena, el personal es fantástico, la ubicación es perfecta, y los precios son muy razonables. Es genial para comer aquí, especialmente después de ser estafados tan a menudo en la Prom en Coleraine, Bushmills, etc. Llegar a lo básico, que normalmente tienen un almuerzo aquí en un día bien como hay amplios asientos en el exterior. Compro almuerzos que casa. Hoy tuve mi hijo y sus dos amigos para el almuerzo. Dos desayunos completos, un panini y ensalada, una llena de soda, rollo de salchichas, ensalada de frutas, pasteles, un dulce 3 slim, dos scones, té, coca-cola y un café con leche llegó a unos treinta kilos. Todos estábamos ocupados todo el día. También puede pedir su comida en la mañana y recoger en el camino de vuelta desde la playa, un gran servicio. El personal es tan amable con los clientes y otros. Estoy casi siento escribir un comentario tan bueno en caso que hace la cola muy larga, o que suban los precios. Pero no ir allí, lo recomiendo encarecidamente. El único mínimo, leve queja es que a mi hijo le gusta más flan en su rebanadas! Los bollos son los mejores!

This fabulous 'home bakery' is always busy and it's easy to understand why when you taste any of their excellent breads. A speciality is the steamed wheaten bread which is dangerously moreish.

Always stop by here when im in portstewart especially for the vanilla slices and fresh baps. Consistently excellent food and service. One of my all time favourites 💕

From the bread to the buns, delicious. I've just bought a house in Portstewart and this is going to be my daily trip. Very friendly ladies. The apple and cinnamon scones were delightful .

Rhubarb tarts and apple pies...all good but the wheaten from here is just remarkably good...do they do mail order to Yorkshire I wonder ? But then again we're there reasonably frequently and the wheaten is something to look forward to.

nice baked goods but far too expensive, i recently bought two sausage rolls and one iced bun, the price came to nearly a tenner, loads of other bakeries about who charge half that ammount.

Mary Berry would be proud of this bakery. Not surprising though as it has two generations of experience. 5 star.

When I want areal if indulgent treat I buy a pie or a pastie from the Griddle. Genuinely non-mass produced. Extra ordinarily well-filled with delicious filling. This is how bakery grub used to be! Far and away the best of its kind in town

Griddle Portstewart is the single nicest place for sandwhich in the north coast with charming staff. As well as a reasonably priced lunch.
