Very good food for reasonable prices

Excellent service and a nice environment. There is a bar / club upstairs so would be younger after 9. The food well all I can say is this by far the best meal I have had this year it will take some beating. It is higher in price but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Highly recommend Villa Portstewart strongly advise pre booking

First visit. Excellent food, very impressed with our choices. Music perhaps a little night club like? (Just a wee suggestion to attract wider range of diners!) Also were a bit shocked at the price of a beer and a hot chocolate - dearer than Belfast! Definitely would go back for the food though.

Villa is the epitome of dining excellence. Amazing food....portion size, quality and presentation. Perfect ambience for a relaxing meal, either for couples or groups of friends or family. Menu is varied with options to suit all tastes. Would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon ♥️

Tasty food, huge portions (the children's dish is enough to fill you up), personally I ate the steak, of course, which was delicious, beautiful place right on the promenade, nice service Prices are the same as everywhere I recommend

Best place in town... Friendly staff, Huge portions, pocket friendly, great atmosphere... The salt and chilli chicken is simply amazing and so is the villa burger... The staff are cheerful, always checking on you if you need anything else. And even when all the restaurants in Port Stewart is full and has no place, there's ALWAYS ROOM AT THE VILLA... They make place for you... We went twice in our 4 day trip because we loved the food... Would recommend this place highly.

Good decoration and atmosphere nice for a drink but food tonight not good value at over £100 for four people mains only. Chicken pasta ok, burger and special chicken and pulled pork decidedly average. Oily onion rings flavourless garlic chips and dry chicken with no seasoning may just have chosen wrongly so choose wisely.

First time here and had a fantastic time. From moment we entered the friendly staff made us extremely welcome. Food served piping hot and quickly given it was a Saturday night. Lots of choice on the menu and on the drinks menu. Not rushed at all, busy but didn't feel crowded due to the spacing between the tables. Decor was amazing. Can't wait to go for another visit soon. Xx

Food was absolutely delicious and staff were really pleasant and helpful. Loved the look of the place and the seating was comfy. There are a few tables up by the fire which would be lovely on a blustery day.

First time dining here and I loved it. Mojito was well done, although strawberry daiquiri could you alittle bit more rum. Dinner was great.

I have never wrote a review before but felt I had to on this occasion. Never had so bad in all the times I've eaten out. I've had better school dinner's. My medium cooked steak was way overcooked and tasted awful.

Food was very tasty enjoyed my pasta even stole a wee bite of my hubbys steak which was delicious along with perfectly cooked chips always a bonus, staff were so friendly served drinks with a smile and enjoyed a wee chilly walk on the promenade after. Couldn’t fault a good night at Villa

Vila Portstewart's restaurant provides a pleasant dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is tasty, though not exceptional, and the service is friendly. It's a solid choice for a casual meal, but lacks standout flair.

We came to Villa for my birthday party. We had a fabulous time and were looked after so well on the evening by Tracey. The food and service on the night was fantastic and everything went like clockwork. A special thanks to Chris who was so reassuring in organising my event. I would strongly recommend for a small or large party.

Another great night in Villa. No photos of the food because everyone was so keen to get started eating. The food was excellent, the steaks cooked to perfection and the kids menu always has a great selection. A great Saturday night atmosphere with the live music and the staff were attentive as always!

A fabulous meal, as always in Villa tonight. The staff were so attentive (despite it being so busy!) and the food was delicious, with large portions. It’s so family friendly, with a great kids menu. Two of us had the rump steaks which were cooked to perfection. Live music just jars to the atmosphere. Highly recommend the pink gin bramble too!

This place is brilliant spot to visit, be it for food or their tidy cocktails. This place has jumped to my no1 spot to meet with friends for drinks or for some tasty food

We called in for a few drinks while staying in a hotel close by. Beautiful bar, friendly staff, nice Guinness. After ordering our drinks, we nestled up in a nice booth close to a burning fire and enjoyed our drinks. Next time we're back in Portstewart, we'll definitely call in again for a drink and dinner.

Was put out because it “wasn’t our Vibe” basically wasn’t allowed to dance lol

This restaurant is probably overrated by the other reviews!! At the reception you are first asked whether you have reserved and you ask yourself: why? The shop is completely empty. The staff takes themselves very seriously and is more concerned with themselves than with the few guests. Unfortunately, the music was way too loud and the food was below average. If you are then asked every 2 minutes if everything is OK. then it gets annoying at some point because the staff shouldn't have missed the fact that everything is average at best with above-average prices. Conclusion: this restaurant is a gift. Fish & Chips OK, you'll be full, but nothing more.

Food was second to none & meal was altogether a pleasant experience with the staff member attending our table.

One of the best experience of food and service I’ve had. Couldn’t fault anything and considering we were a party of 15 it was faultless. The staff were attentive and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had the best time.

Down there round 615 had two drinks the wife went in for menu and was told she couldn't eat outside even though another couple were eating it's good to know our money is not needed this time of the year

This restaurant was close to my hotel, so my partner and I decided to go there. Our order was taken quickly, and the dishes arrived very fast! My fish & chips were perfect, as was the dish my partner had! I would gladly come back on my next visit to the area!

Lovely dinner, great atomosphere and lovely cocktails

My first time to Villa on Saturday evening and it will not be my last. The staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The meal was first class. The flavours 'exploded' in my mouth from the first forkful to the last. The portion size was precisely enough. Thank you all and I'll see you soon again.

Called here today for a few cocktails, the barman was extremely rude when I asked for 2 French martini's. He sighed, tutted and rolled his eyes and basically threw the card machine at me. He was a tall skinny guy with glasses. I will stick to Portrush in future!

Lovely staff. Food delicious. I had the sea bass. It was amazing.

The front of counter member of staff touched all the food . She used tongs to place food on plate but then proceeded to move all the food on the plate with her hands! Problem raised but was just told she would have washed her hands except she may have washed her hands but when handling our food proceeded to touch her dirty apron her hair ( hair net hanging off) touched every surface around her and then touched our food ! It really put us off our food !! Think this needs checked. Just raising point to protect fellow guests .

Ate here a couple of times during our four nights in Portstewart and had great food and service both times. First night shared the starter portion of ribs and just a well otherwise there would have been more of mash from the main course left on the plate. If you get a window table there is a great view over the bay.

We had a great time at Villa! It was perfect for our big group and our waitress was fantastic. So many delicious choices to choose from!

When we booked we were made to believe we would have a back room or at least a quiet corner as we asked for a private space. Whether it's our fault or not I don't recommend events here. They blast 80s music so our event was hard to hear and quite disappointing. Other than that is was marvelous. I would have loved the price if we had the room but since we were out with everyone it was quite steep. Edit: moved to 4 star as it's probably our fault that we didn't research more about the environment and our needs. Leaving the rest to help future guests

Lovely place in Portstewart for a bite to eat and a drink. Service is always very friendly. Great view from tables outside if weather permits.

Villa is just the best place on the North Coast. Always our go to place for food and drinks. Fab selection on menu for both food and a cheeky cocktail or 2 lol . Always a guarantee for decent live music also. Staff and ambience compliment everything else. The girls on the floor are just sooooo pleasant and slick.

Took a trip down with some friends to catch up over the Easter weekend. We had a few drinks at the bar then proceeded to our table after sampling some very tasty cocktails. When seated we were asked if we would like any more drinks and if we would like to order within a few minutes from arriving at our table. From tasty food & drinks alongside friendly and efficient staff we weren’t disappointed especially on a busy night.

Have been numerous times, for dinners nights out for a drink with friends etc... But last night I had booked a large table group of 17adults and 6 kids. And honestly it was such an amazing experience. I can't thank the team enough from first booking to doing our pre order they where so helpful and professional. Last night went seamless our seat was perfect by window so kids could sit and play without bothering anyone, the food was all amazing the staff soo kind friendly and just very welcoming. I can't recommend it enough. If you want your a special night to go well deffo book here. Thank again to all the tram at villa.

Lunch with two teenagers. They both ordered nachos - the beef sauce was lovely but the nacho chips were horrible. I could taste the oil they had been cooked in - really overpowering. Then they had pasta and a burger - both good. The burger came with chunky chips - same problem as with the nachos. Disgusting taste of the oil they'd been fried in. And at over £70 it honestly wasn't worth it. The young girl who was our server was fantastic. So kind to my autistic son and really friendly.

As ALWAYS in Villa the food was amazing, staff were super friendly and service was excellent , however what ruined our family birthday meal was a large hen party group of around 30-35 people sat along the window at the front. They were so loud we not only couldn’t hear what our waitress was saying to us but we couldn’t hold any conversation at our table and had to eat in silence listening to these people get louder and louder. Other patrons were staring and shaking their heads at this group also. We usually spend around £100 on cocktails when we go to villa , trying different ones however after one round of drinks we were done and left 48 mins after entering not having any dessert or coffee even. Perhaps Villa should maybe put groups like this in a separate function suite as they were the reason a birthday celebration was a disaster

The food was outstanding and a great price and there was loads of it.The staff were lovel.nothing was too much for them and they went above and beyond to make you welcome.Their chicken stack is the nicest IV ever tasted with smoked mash.We went to it from Belfast and we will definitely be back.The villa was spotless also and the decor is beautiful and the guiness is second to none.Well done to all.See you all again soon.Anne

The restaurant design is beautiful. The staff and service was 10/10 no faults. The food was OK, standard for North coast restaurants, no USP. The biggest let down for me was the (£10) cocktails are very watery, lacking in flavour and again standard menu.

Unbelievable experience at villa on Saturday evening as a table of 5. We all enjoyed a lovely three course meal food was amazing really high standard. From management to waiting staff everyone was so professional and helpful. They honestly went above and beyond. Amazing food, cocktails, staff and really chilled vibe would highly recommend.

A great venue. The staff were very friendly and efficient and made you feel welcome. The food was excellent and the portions were very copious. Service was good and we had a great meal. After that we went to the bar section for a few drinks where the staff were also very friendly and helpful and the view of the bay is spectacular.

This is our favourite bar/venue. We were in for Sunday lunch and as usual the food was spot on. I had the slow cooked beef which was amazing and so tender, and my husband had his favourite chicken stack. We then went through to the bar more more drinks and cocktails. Always made to feel so welcome by Chris and Maggie and the entire team. Fantastic spot right on the promenade, with views across the bay. We love to sit outside in the summer with an ice cold glass of wine watching the sea. Best venue on the North Coast by a mile!

Top food Great service Highly Recommended

4 of us ate the food was really disappointing, only two other tables in the restaurant so the kitchen was not busy at all, Needless to say I won't be rushing back.

Whether you are allowed in or not is decided based on your appearance and skin color. So please look in the mirror beforehand to avoid wasting time.

Nice restaurant, good food, big portions, they could be of more normal and healthier size as too much food was wasted. Ended up paying for food that we didn't consume due to portions size.

Excellent evening at Villa a friendly warm welcome. Fantastic food I usually have the Chicken stack but on this occasion the Italian Chicken. Starter of prawns delicious. No room for desert but maybe next time.

Lovely setting, service from waiting staff was great - food when it came was lovely although not all our food came out together which was annoying for a large group - when this was noted to the manager I think his name began with B we thought as a gesture a free dessert or something but nothing - a little gesture goes a long way

Twice we've been in here now for late afternoon or early evening food, starters and mains are very good, recommend the chilli prawns and BBQ ribs! Not been let down yet!

Excellent service even though it was New Year's Eve. I had traditional Christmas dinner beautifully cooked. Great atmosphere and very busy. Need to book on a night like that.

Food is very good with huge sized portions with meat cooked well to standard. We (family of 5) were seated in a ( there is a bar section then also a standard restaurant section we were seated in the restaurant) alcove with another family which was very quiet and could hear others at the table very well, it was not cramped or overcrowded with plenty of space for everyone. Service was prompt for all courses with the server making sure all food was served to our standards. Overall very happy with the villa and would recommend to other larger families.
