The food was outstanding and a great price and there was loads of it.The staff were lovel.nothing was too much for them and they went above and beyond to make you welcome.Their chicken stack is the nicest IV ever tasted with smoked mash.We went to it from Belfast and we will definitely be back.The villa was spotless also and the decor is beautiful and the guiness is second to none.Well done to all.See you all again soon.Anne

The restaurant design is beautiful. The staff and service was 10/10 no faults. The food was OK, standard for North coast restaurants, no USP. The biggest let down for me was the (£10) cocktails are very watery, lacking in flavour and again standard menu.

Lovely meal and very attentive staff. Looking forward to our next visit. "Attentive" just noticed the mistake lol...

4 of us ate the food was really disappointing, only two other tables in the restaurant so the kitchen was not busy at all, Needless to say I won't be rushing back.

Nice restaurant, good food, big portions, they could be of more normal and healthier size as too much food was wasted. Ended up paying for food that we didn't consume due to portions size.

Whether you are allowed in or not is decided based on your appearance and skin color. So please look in the mirror beforehand to avoid wasting time.

Excellent evening at Villa a friendly warm welcome. Fantastic food I usually have the Chicken stack but on this occasion the Italian Chicken. Starter of prawns delicious. No room for desert but maybe next time.

Twice we've been in here now for late afternoon or early evening food, starters and mains are very good, recommend the chilli prawns and BBQ ribs! Not been let down yet!

Went for an anniversary dinner, my girlfriend didn’t enjoy the food but being heavily pregnant I won’t take her review into account. Food was amazing in my opinion, great look to the place. Was completely empty on a Sunday night so won’t comment to the atmosphere. I had the Atlantic Cod and would order it all over again given the chance.

The Christmas food was good the Acoustic Guitarist was good and the service was good.

We booked a table for 8 people 2 couldn’t make it as they were sick with Covid, we paid £15 deposit per person, our bill for the 6 of us came to £318 but the manager refused to allow us the £30 deposit for our 2 sick friends towards our bill. I my opinion this is terrible customer service, the £30 was more important to Villa than customer care. We even called in to let them know of our 2 sick friends that afternoon. We visit Villa on a regular basis but unfortunately we won’t be back.

Christmas Party Night at its Best!!! We had an amazing Christmas party night here. Can't thank the staff enough, the service was fantastic, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was buzzing, perfect party night material! Portion sizes were huge and every aspect of the food from main meat to potatoes, veg and wee accompaniments were all perfect, the gravy was particularly delicious, big thumbs up to Simon and the crew for the hard work. I'd also like to give a particular mention to Brandon, absolute star from start to finish. Professional, cheery and never once showing any impatience with a bunch of drunken idiots who hadn't a clue what they ordered, Brandon was organised, efficient and attentive all evening. Live music added to the atmosphere and made for an excellent party night out, thanks again to everyone at The Villa, highly recommended.

We had our Christmas dinner there last night and everything was perfect. The food was piping hot and the service was amazing. Very friendly staff.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They checked each time what they could do gluten and dairy free. The food was amazing and so filling. It was a wonderful meal. They were even able to do hot chocolate from the specials.

The best service and most delicious food we have had in this area for some time. Wonderful staff . Make you feel welcome and are attentive but not intrusive. Asked for steak and chips to be well cooked and they were just right. Lovely atmosphere. Well done Chris and team.

Staff, atmosphere, surroundings and location are fantastic. Food disappointing, had salt and chilli chicken and chips, portion size good, chips nice however the chicken was rock hard, difficult to cut and chew, I would not recommend that meal but would go back and try something else.

The food was prepared to absolute perfection. We sampled multiple starters which were all delicious and our mains were absolutely superb. The service was amazing, we waited no time to be served. Staff were very friendly and inviting, especially Harley who took care of our table to the highest standard possible all evening. Overall a great evening!

WORST restaurant in the entire Northern Ireland. If you want to wait 2-3 hours just to get in only to be addressed by the rude host, have some cold tasteless food and watered-down drinks, don't miss this place.

Booked a table for 7pm last Friday been wanting to try this restaurant as never been . On arrival we where met and shown to our table very promptly the restaurant was busy had a nice buzz to it , mixture off couples and family's, the kitchen is all open so you can watch the chefs all working away ..Food and service where brilliant 👏 😀 We had marinated skewers with satay dip and Italian chicken with parma ham ,rocket,parmasen cheese and pesto wuth side off skinny fries and salt chilli chips both dishes where very tasty . The bill for two mains a magners and a fin and tonic and a bottle off white wine came to £69 reasonable enough 👌 defi be returning

Absolutely beautiful evening, food was delicious however the magic of our evening was the most pleasant, lovely, friendly waitress Hazel, a wee gem .an amazing asset and total credit to Villa staff …. Wish more staff were like this lady

I was so disappointed with how Villa had dealt with negative feedback that I felt obligated to write this review. After highly recommending this establishment to visiting family & friends, a table was booked & everyone was looking forward to catching up over dinner. Sadly, our party was drastically reduced due to Covid but the remaining few went ahead with the booking. I cannot fault the food. It was excellent from start to finish. The staff who served us our food & drinks were friendly & polite. Unfortunately, the restaurant supervisor was quite rude & unprofessional throughout service. Derek seemed to be in a hurry from the very start, from taking our initial drinks order & continuing right through to the end of service. He only informed us that he needed our table in 15 minutes when we had just finished our mains & had yet to choose from the dessert menu! Even when we were eating our desserts, he brought both the bill and then the card machine for us to settle payment. We vacated our table at the requested time only to find that our table was still empty 15 minutes later! Derek's clinical manner, his sharp tones & lack of warmth sadly put a dampener on what was otherwise a lovely night. My friend who originally made the booking received a feedback questionnaire from Villa a few days later. As an avid reviewer, she gave her honest opinions highlighting the poor service from Derek. The following day she received an email from Villa informing her that she was 'blocked' from making any future bookings. This email should've been sent to the reservations staff but mistakenly was sent to her. I'm extremely disappointed in the way Villa has dealt with everything. So when you ask for feedback from your customers, do you get instantly blocked for constructive criticism? Any other eating establishment would welcome such feedback if it helps them to make improvements in giving their customers that perfect dining experience but sadly not Villa. Don't ask for customer feedback if you can't accept negative comments. My friend also put up a Google review which has conveniently 'disappeared'. Obviously, they don't want anyone else to read a review that highlights their skulduggery behaviour. There are plenty of restaurants in the near vicinity that value customer feedback but this isn't one of them. I've always recommended Villa to visiting friends & family but because of the way in which they handled this situation, I regretfully will not be doing so from now on.

We absolutely loved this restaurant. The food and service were fantastic.

We were seated quickly and the waitress was very pleasant. I had the salt & chilli chicken with Parmesan fries, was very tasty and served promptly after our starters 💯 A great place to eat and enjoy a few drinks afterwards, highly recommend!

The restaurant was a total disappointment. The service was slow and unprofessional, the food was cold and unappetizing. The atmosphere was dark and uncomfortable, and the price was far too high compared to the poor quality of the meals. I would not recommend this restaurant and would never visit again.

Good service, sat outside in inclement weather, view of sea partially obstructed by main road but pleasant all the same. I had non alky beer, and my wife had a Rockshore beer, which was nice and refreshing.

Had a wee non alcohol drink outside. Nice people watching and pleasant.

Unfortunately the chicken in my salt and chilli dish probably died from old age. It was tough and rubbery in texture. I was really surprised as all the reviews were great and initially thought I was being overly critical, but eventually had to concede defeat. My champ side was also cold. The waiter wasn't interested when I complained. I was going to refuse payment but will not be branded as someone who complains merely to get a free meal, so just paid and left. I got a really enjoyable sandwich in a garage on the way home.

A group of 12 of us had a lovely meal last night to celebrate my niece’s graduation. Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially Lilyanne. Food was delicious.

Went here Friday night, greeted by a rude manager with zero personality.. Place had a good vibe and was really busy. Ordered starters mussels were like saw dust dry chewy and no sauce.. no idea how they managed to make these so bad. Ordered chicken curry for main. Vegetable curry came out.. was taken back without problems however they put the mains down before we had finished our starters !! Chicken curry came.. with whatvwas supposed to be rice.. over cooked gloom and as for the curry .. asda frozen section would have been better. Absolute rubbish. Pasta came with some sort of attempt at garlic bread .. like an oily spunge. Clearly the kitchen was having a bad night. Wouldn't eat here again if was free. Bald guy who served us was a lovely and atmosphere was great . Sadly food was the worst I've had in a very long time. P.s guiness is rubbish

Nice place with friendly staff. Food was horrendous. The southern fried chicken burger was not edible. It was almost entirely a disgusting batter which neither me or my partner could eat. Would not recommend.

Loved this bar and food was amazing

Can’t recommend enough! We emailed for a reservation and within 2 minutes we got a response. All the staff we spoke to were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. They spent time having a chat and laugh with us and nothing was too much trouble. The staff are definitely the standout here. The menu is also perfect for everyone and you won’t be leaving hungry with the portion size. The food is absolutely delish especially the chicken skewers and the salt & chilli chicken which we highly recommend. The music and atmosphere is a perfect setting to watch the sun go down across the ocean. Don’t visit Portstewart without visiting Villa! Will definitely be returning soon…

Came tonight for a dinner for two. The host didn’t say two words to us, just lifted menus and threw them down on a table. It was really rude. Atmosphere not what I expected, kids bumping chairs, running round everywhere. Menu not great, I asked for my steak medium, it was well done. Generally just not a great place, gives more of a night club vibe than nice restaurant. The only positive was the nice guy who brought our bill. Will not be back.

Great place, fantastic staff and views are sensational. To get a table on the veranda overlooking the sea and prom I would advise going early, as always very busy. We went back 3 times over our 5 day trip.

Amazing food for our group of 10. Place was very busy and yet the staff were so attentive and couldn't have been nicer. Food was delicious and we spent the entire night here. Very lively and atmosphere was excellent. Singers and band were both brilliant.

Rump steak,tough like shoe leather. Chips under cooked, and pale. Plates cold,with our food on. Over priced ,minimal portions. Had tastier food. Being a retired chef myself the cooking could be better. Music was very loud. Staff friendly and efficient though but forgot our accompaniments. To stuffy inside no air conditioning on.. Not alot on menu to choose from to our liking. We had a satisfactory dining experience won't be back.

Called in today for lunch & got a table by the windows. What a view. We ordered battered fish with chunky chips, a southern fried chicken burger & the hot bowl (salt n chilli chicken). All were absolutely amazing. The batter on the fish was so fine & crispy & the chips hot and crispy on the outside. The chicken in the hot bowl was succulent and very tasty & was neatly over skinny fries. The burger!! OMG. Sooo good. It also came with skinny fries. We ordered a side of pepper sauce & even it was sublime. Never been here before, but will definitely be back.

Enjoyable as ever, when in Portstewart my wife and I like to go in for a drink and a spot of lunch and if ghe weather's good sit outside.

I've been here a few time, the atmosphere is great woth live music as well as good lighting. The staff are always so friendly. They do really nice cocktails as well as delicious food and they have a few vegan options which is always handy! Also a lovely view out onto the sea 🌊

This was our first time here. The food was great and the staff are lovely. The ONLY negative was we found it a bit overpriced. There are other restaurants in the area which are just as nice but not as expensive. We would go back but definitely not on a regular basis

Amazing place, stunning food, great staff. One of the best dining experiences in N.I, apart from one issue. (Can we have your table)! I realise they are trying to make money but no matter how polite staff are, asking you for your table 1 hr and 20 mins into a 3 course meal feels rushed. Had to move to bar to finish my wine. Weren't told about this on booking. Seems restaurants now days are wanting to be drive thru fast food establishments.
