The best restaurants serving Mexican food in Bristol, City of South West

Lovely, clean establishment. Ordered 3 x Chicken + Beef pattie burgers and fries. One of the best burger meals I have enjoyed between Bristol and London. Friendly, curteous service by young gent at the till. Highly recommended by happy customer. Issy

Another amazing visit yesterday, you know this place is good when you do an hour and a bit round trip on your day off just to visit! I had beef taco and nachos and my partner had a burrito all the food was delicious and full of flavour! Please don’t ever close we love you Cartel Cantina!

Came here with some friends for the first time and was really impressed. I loved the fajitas which were really flavourful and a great sized portion. The churros were also a delicious way to end the meal. Not to mention there was a really nice atmosphere to this place, with warm lighting, Mexican music and an all round good vibe. Overall, would definitely recommend and come again.

After visiting the other restaurants owned by the same company, I decided to try this one as well, believing it would have the same quality. Unfortunately, the place was very disorganized and not particularly clean. The food was average, and I expected much more after dining at the others. The only noteworthy item was the nachos.

Mi esposa y yo decidimos pasar a almorzar ya que teníamos el día libre y habíamos querido visitar desde que abrió. En primer lugar, la comida estaba absolutamente agrietada. La salsa de las chimichangas estaba deliciosa y ahumada. Los tacos estaban geniales, el cerdo era excelente y todos ellos rellenos de rellenos. En segundo lugar, el personal era brillante. Después de leer reseñas y con ganas de burritos, hoy hemos intentado visitar Mi Burrito ya que la página web decía que estaba abierta desde el 12 : 00 los sábados. Llegamos justo después del mediodía, pero todo estaba oscuro y cerrado. Nos decepcionó que a las 12: 15 no había señales de la apertura del establecimiento y tuvimos que abandonar nuestro intento. Como fuimos a Bristol específicamente para comer aquí, esto fue ligeramente molesto. Si los horarios de apertura han cambiado, por favor My Burrito, actualice su sitio web.

This place is great! Really delicious, authentic tacos & margaritas. Which is not easy to find! I like this place a lot.

Had the beef brisket fajita for a late lunch. It was amazing! So tasty & flavoursome. Great fillings with the the rice & beans. The beef was so tender. Very filling and satisfying. Loved it and will be back

I cook and eat plenty of Mexican food. It’s my favourite cuisine. Saw the van at the harbour side market today and ordered two tacos with what was advertised as slow cooked confit beef. What I received was over cooked, chunks of dice sized cheap cut steak that had been fried. The meat was tough, flavourless and grisly. Cheap n nasty. The taco itself had a cheap sauce on top with a tiny bit of lettuce and a piece of spring onion. Slow cooked meat is a key component of Mexican cuisine but this was dog food. I asked the server how it was slow cooked. He looked a bit blank and said it was a new recipe! Yeh, ok! My experience was an insult to Mexican food and not what was advertised. I wished I’d gone to the vegan taco stall next door.

We booked a table at 8pm for a group of 4 we then had to wait 10 minutes for our table to be set up and then another ten minutes to even order drinks and food. We ordered food and an hour later we finally received our food after asking staff when it would be delivered. Our food comes and we don’t get cutlery or sauce or anything and when we tried to get the waiter’s attention for this stuff she ignored us and walked past. I normally never leave a review but the fact that we paid for food that was delivered cold and tiny portions that was overpriced frustrated us.

My wife and I regularly go for breakfast and coffee here when we need a treat. The service and food and drink here are always excellent, as they were on this occassion. So much better than some of the other, "trendy" joints on North Street.
