Had the beef brisket fajita for a late lunch. It was amazing! So tasty & flavoursome. Great fillings with the the rice & beans. The beef was so tender. Very filling and satisfying. Loved it and will be back

Perfect lunch spot! Tender and flavourful fillings, I had the tacos, one of each filling and it did not disappoint, tender chicken and beef, the vegetables were amazing too! Not over cooked so still had texture and full of flavour. The customer service was second to none, polite, friendly and warm. I will definitely be returning when I’m next in Bristol! muchas gracias!

Been to this food truck about 4 times over the years. My first visit was amazing, really lovely staff, amazing food. But not sure what's happened now in recent years as I was waiting in a ridiculously slow que, when it was eventually my turn to order, i ended up feeling abit of a burden due to my allergy requirements!!! I wasn't sure if they completely understood my allergy, I honestly felt like they were getting annoyed with me so I ended up walking away. Shame really because I tend to be quite a loyal customer and word of mouth goes a really long way !!!

Really tasty. Had large chicken burrito. It held together really well, despite being plenty of sauce inside, compared to some that just fall apart in a soggy mess. The hot sauce was hot without being silly. Couldn't fault anything really, lovely ingredients. Large was just right for a big lunch. Having read some of the previous comments I found the service to be pretty speedy (there were two people serving) and were smiling and friendly despite being pretty non-stop. Will definitely be back again.

Incredibly fresh and tasty. I had a naked burrito with vegetable chilli and it was delicious. Friendly service but it was incredibly slow. A lot of people walked away. We waited about 20 minutes (which for fast food is pretty slow) but the lady did apologise saying she had been let down and usually had some help. Glad it was worth the wait.

Gourmet? Definitely not but decent flavour and good portions. Would have preferred a better spread of fillings to balance flavours. Staff where great, really friendly.

Best burritos you can get in Bristol, friendly staff, well priced and good portions. Highly recommend. Joe makes amazing specials, also very accomodating for veggitarians and vegans.

One positive is that it is tasty however here were my issues: - Slow Service - Large Burrito wasn’t very big. You don’t get a lot for your money. They didn’t put much meat in at all. Person in front of me ordered a small and I must admit that my large looked the same size as their order I wouldn’t go back. The hunt for a good burrito continues

Used to be great when they actually employed more than one person. I am sure the guy serving is doing his best but he is very slow which adds to the delay. At least six people walked away at lunch time today while I was in the queue, one of which was myself. Shame.

I've gone here to grab lunch a handful of times over the last year. I particularly enjoy the flavour of the pulled pork burrito. However, the last few times I've gone there has only been one guy serving resulting in a long wait- around 20 minutes today in the cold. I think Woolly Cactus is great but there needs to be more people serving throughout the year.

Visited with a work colleague for the first time. The staff were really helpful and answered our questions about how spicy the food was. It was fairly spicy but not too hot which for a lunchtime was just right for me.I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Burrito and all the extras. Can only say it was very good. Due to the quantity of food crammed into the burrito it was a little difficult to eat but I for one would not want them to change this. The cost was reasonable. Yes there are cheaper lunches available nearby but the quality at the Woolly Cactus did stand out.

I am not a spice lover therefore I wasn't too sure about trying this. I ordered a pulled pork and onion Quesadilla. The only extra I ordered was monterrey jack cheese. There wasn't any spice to it and it was really enjoyable, I am so happy that I can finally experience Mexican food without having to worry about spice as I love wraps. The portion size was very generous for £4 at there was lots of meat for the price! Definitely going to be returning.

Absolutely delicious burritos for such a good price. Loads of filling options and toppings all freshly made on the premises. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the shack has since been replaced with a brand new one which looks very authentic. Will be my regular lunchtime joy from now on!!

I worked from home today and went to the Woolly Cactus to see what the food was like. I live on Redcliff Street and always see the closed up shack and wondered what it was like. Really excellent food and well priced for the generous portion! A shame it's not open around when I get home. The breakfast option looks promising though :D They were running low on ingredients around 1pm on a Monday. From other reviews this looks to be the main problem, the food is too popular for just a shack and one person running it! The queue for food was around ten people the whole time I was there. Clearly there is demand for a fleet of woolly cacti around the city. I would certainly visit frequently to one up around the top of Saint Michaels Hill :P Push out the ciabatta hut on woodland road perhaps! University lunch market is fairly epic around there.

Having tried the various mexican lunchtime offerings in Central Bristol the Woolly Cactus' burrito is the best we've had so far. The quality of the ingredients is great and the splash of Coriander and Lime juice brings it all together wonderfully. Having passed the burrito benchmark with flying colours I look forward to sampling the other offerings (Quesadillas, Fajitas and Tacos) on future visits. Friendly service and reasonable lunchtime prices at £5 or under put this firmly on our "Where shall we go for lunch today?" rota.

Really friendly staff and a bowl on the counter with free fruit!Ordered a veg burrito, it was massive! Overall it was nice, but not as tasty as I had hoped. Could be better with more black beans in a sauce and more flavoursome rice.I will go back though and try again and you cannot fault the portion size or friendly service!

A few weeks ago I started a new job near the city centre and visited The Wooly Cactus on recommendation and was not disappointed. The shack was easily recognisable, painted lime green and standing on one side of Bristol bridge, I was greeted by a cheerful smiley young lady, I ordered a pulled pork burrito with all the toppings, it was amazing full of taste and much larger than I expected, I have gone back a few more times having tried the chicken fajitas which is also top class. I had no hesitation in recommending it to my work colleagues. Top marks for terrific food and first class service.

I can't exaggerate when I say that I spotted this place whilst waiting for a bus - I had always assumed it was just a small little tapas-like stand, maybe a thing for the tourists. Forgive my attitude.I realised the other day they did burritos, one of my personal favourites. Of course, given man's desire for a burrito every once in a while I popped down there yesterday lunch time. Firstly, I have to say, I'm amazed that I hadn't gone there before, the smell could attract people from Mexico itself. There was nobody waiting so I found myself ordering pretty quickly. The lady behind the counter is very friendly and I think really likes what she's doing - always a good sign. When it comes to the burrito itself... Well, it was lovely. Pulled pork has a special place in my heart and this example was delicious. I thought the habanero sauce was great, adds a lovely kick to it (not for the faint-hearted)I think it is a little on the small side considering you're paying £5 for it, but I think that's probably my gluttony more than a genuine complaint.I'll definitely be back, lovely place to grab lunch.

Knowing me for the Mexican fiend that I am, a friend recommended the Woolly Cactus as a lunchtime option and so in their first week of trading I appeared at the very cute truck (decorated with knitted items made by the staff themselves!) expecting a massive queue and a wealth of options for my lunch. Fortunately, there was no queue, but in the brief five minute wait I was there a further 6 people appeared behind me as I waited for me order. I suspect it might have been worse earlier in the lunchtime window, but as I was later than perhaps a lot of the visitors, I was presented with a reduced choice. I opted for a quesadilla, which was perfectly tasty, accompanied by various dips and some pico de gallo that packed a small punch - delicious.I am told there are significant other choices as a side dish, but that they had simply run out, as had been the case every day in their first week - a testament to their popularity. This would normally have been a £5.50 lunch deal (with a soft drink) but due to the reduced choices, they offered me a £1 reduction, which more than made up for the shortages. The main gripe I have with this otherwise excellent offering, is the packaging that they use. Although it's a takeaway, it's simply not practical if you are planning on sitting in a park and eating it. Furthermore, putting a quesadilla into a loose bag in the upright position, is never going to end well (with regards to its structural integrity) and left me with a slightly soggy quesadilla. Although the glass bottles of coke are a fantastic touch, again, you need to have it opened for you there and then, or face a battle with a bottle top and no bottle opener.Apparently doubling their quantities each day in the first week, the Woolly Cactus is still finding its feet, but I would implore you to be patient as this is a gem that is just waiting to be polished to its full glory. Friendly staff and a great addition to Bristol's centre - 7.5/10.
