I cook and eat plenty of Mexican food. It’s my favourite cuisine. Saw the van at the harbour side market today and ordered two tacos with what was advertised as slow cooked confit beef. What I received was over cooked, chunks of dice sized cheap cut steak that had been fried. The meat was tough, flavourless and grisly. Cheap n nasty. The taco itself had a cheap sauce on top with a tiny bit of lettuce and a piece of spring onion. Slow cooked meat is a key component of Mexican cuisine but this was dog food. I asked the server how it was slow cooked. He looked a bit blank and said it was a new recipe! Yeh, ok! My experience was an insult to Mexican food and not what was advertised. I wished I’d gone to the vegan taco stall next door.

The Little Taquero came to our wedding. The guests could not stop raving about how amazing the food was! The service was fantastic, incredibly kind, happy, helpful staff and great communication when booking. Great value for money and cannot recommend them enough for any event!

Enquired about employing TLQ as wedding caterers, and they replied saying they were available and gave us their details to figure out our quote. I said it looked good, and I'd get back to them shortly after my fiancee had seen it. Went through the details, figured out costs and menus etc. and emailed back to confirm. TLQ informed us that they'd decided to go with someone else on that day instead, which seems remarkably rude. Offering a date for an event, especially a wedding, should be considered a provisional booking.

¡Tan delicioso!

It was absolutely perfect! For our company Christmas party, we hired out the The Little Taquero and everyone was super impressed and love the food. Chris and Kerry were super good at communicating with us and it was super easy to organise with them. Definitely the best and most authentic Mexican tacos I have had in the UK! Don't hesitate to book them or visit if you see them around!

Come get your taco..come get your taco...in the little taco van! @thelittletaqueria has the best tacos in town by far! Nice, fresh, clean flavours..no grease whatsoever...a bit overpriced but they truly are little pockets of heaven! Shoutout to their chicken and chorizo taco!

Saw the little orange van at the Harbourside Market and was intrigued to see if the tacos they served were authentic. What a pleasant surprise - I was transported to my travels in Central America with every bite! I am now constantly hunting these guys out and get very over excited when I spot them at night markets and events.

A pop up van that I found today parked outside the Spectrum Building opposite Cabot Circus. The Little Taco Man - should probably be Taquería (taco shop). They move around - hey, it's a van - and you can find their location on their website. Two tacos, £5.75. I had the Chicken and Chorizo option, help yourself to hot sauce. Very tasty. Comes with chunky guacamole and salad.. Add your own hot sauce is a good idea - that way you can't complain if you get it wrong. Other options are pork or veggie - they might give you one of each if you asked nicely A light lunch, very tasty, and friendly service. But probably not such good value as the Burrito Bus in the St James Barton Bearpit

Love this restaurant! I'm from Texas and it is hands down the best traditional Mexican you can get in Bristol. Staff are always lovely.

Visited here for a lunch date with my husband during a visit back to my hometown. Checked Tripadvisor reviews and seemed a good choice. Our experience wasn’t that positive. Upon arrival we were told to wait outside to be seen so we did. Completely understand it is small inside so didn’t mind this until we waited over 5 minutes before we were seated by a different waiter than the one who told us to wait. 5 minutes doesn’t seem long but when standing outside (in rain) it definitely felt like it. At one point we were debating whether to move on but being short of time to pick children up from grandparents we waited. The waiter who told us to wait outside looked up twice from the bar area during this time at us and we felt this was rude not to address us. The restaurant was not overly busy and we could see at least a few staff on which sufficed for the area so not really acceptable. The waiter that served us was pleasant enough so we ordered Tacos and a burrito and two drinks. When the food came it was underwhelming - I had two tacos which consisted of two mini tortillas with a dollop of marinated shredded chicken on top - £9.50. There was no sour cream, guacamole or salsa which we’ve always had previously at Mexican restaurants. My husband had the chicken burrito which was more substantial but again there was a lack of condiments - £9.50. We noticed after that the menu stated sour cream, salsa etc as paid extras but the waiter didn’t make us aware of this which we feel would have been appropriate. We also order two grapefruit soda drinks - £3.50 each. Upon getting up to the till to pay we had to wait again because the waiter was talking to a friend outside and no one else came over. I quickly checked the bill and paid. I should have checked closer prior to paying as on the receipt I noticed almost £3 as a 10% service charge. I am not happy to have paid this with the service received that day. I didn’t go back to speak about this as we had to get off to collect our children. I would not recommend and will not return. I have had better Mexican food and service at a festival! I don’t usually leave reviews but in this circumstance thought I’d just let people know prior to visiting what you may encounter.

Food was delectable, bar staff and waiting team were so good but I couldn’t help but notice the manager was treating his staff like something stuck to the bottom of his shoe. As a manager myself I don’t find this to be very professional especially so close to Christmas when it’s a busy time of year and a lot of younger people are financially strained. Management should be doing more to increase morale and rather be appreciative of the hardworking staff rather than belittling.
