The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in South Wales

What a perfect little place. Wonderful and warm hospitality. Truly delicious and authentic food. We very much hope to be back.

Small bites were ok. Burrito was a bit too juicy and made the tortilla a tad soggy. Bao bun was crunchy on the corners. Beetroot halloumi was lovely. Needed more flat bread though. Food came out quickly, perhaps too quickly. Sitting outside you can sit and stare across the bay and watch the world go by. Would happily return for a drink and to try other things on the menu.

This is a fantastic healthier but extremely tasty place to eat in Cardiff city centre. All the staff are phenomenal, the customer service is second to none and the place is immaculately clean all the way from top to bottom, from the Cajun chicken wrap all the way through to my cinnamon bun the flavours were extraordinary! The staff are all so friendly and they serve you with a smile, it really goes a long way! The price is just right (I don’t want to use the word cheap) for the quality it is excellent. The coffee beats all of the bigger chains in my opinion and the presentation on every item I tried was second to none! Please if you haven’t already try McSims as I guaranteed you will leave fulfilled and wanting to come back for more !

beautiful food, generous portions, and so well priced that i felt like i was putting this place out of business - this is the kind of restaurant you gatekeep from all of your friends because it's so good it's a cosy place so if you're planning on dining in then try to make a reservation just in case!

I never leave disappointed. I cannot emphasis how amazing this independent tapas bar is. The food is always fresh, caters fantastically to allergies (Gluten Free). Food is delicious & atmosphere is perfect, down to the furniture. Recommend always booking for a dine-in experience. Nomad is worth going out of your way for a visit. Best GF foccicia! We had Cheese, focciacia, peppers, meats & sprouts special. Was all delicious! & Board full of puddings! I will never get tired of eating here!

I’m often in student union and the smell of this shop fills the whole corridor of the ground floor (smells amazing). Very fast service, very nice owner and delicious food! I had the 12 inch wrap and skinny fries and it was delicious! it was my first time having falafel and it was very nice! Also very nice interior. It feels very cosy. Inshallah definitely coming again! Thanks.

Food is nice but gone quite expensive, ive been going there for years. I know mama has always been lovely, but one of the ladies serving me, not very patient, must be having an off day, considering I spent £14

The food is awesome . I went for lunch and then for dinner . Rezan was very very good polite friendly although the restaurant was busy he was always there to help . He was very welcome remembered us so well a big Thankyou Rezan for making us feel at home your hospitality was outstanding and fabulous keep up the good work we will definitely visit you again with our daughters . Lovely service from the staff and great food as always! Takeaway was ready very quickly and still hot as we got it home. Very happy to see them back open, will definitely be back

Staying 10 minutes away and googled, then booked this place. Went in with 'normal pub food' expectations but we were blown away! Fantastic food, excellent service and for food of this quality very happy with the cost. We'd gone out Christmas Eve at a similar quality restaurant in England and were non-plussed by that meal so very happy to experience the quality of the Walnut Tree. Excellent coffee and chocs too. We'll be back!

Beautiful food and restaurant, great selection on the menu. The Kleftiko was cooked excellently and a very good size!
